Well maintained and managed hotel in a beautiful environment, just a stone’s throw away from Budapest / 1 hour drive /. Room was spotlessly clean, with quality bathroom amenities. We run into a once in a while BBQ show on their terrace, where Chef Sándor and guest Chef Zsolt served 10 of us within minutes with such a delicious meal, prepared in his own Bodrog Smoker, we were really impressed. Helpful staff everywhere, all in all highly recommended for a short break or even for a longer visit.

Trip tip in mountain Mátra

We have already stayed in standard room and junior suite in this hotel. We visited this 5 times altogether. 
Everytime the hotel was clean, the staff was helpful. 
I recommend to ask for a room with view of Kékes, because it's beautiful, but if you get a room with park view it's also very nice. 
The breakfast and the dinner offer wide range of food and every day there is something special, I mean wild food, typicall autumn food. I guess everybody must find something to eat. 
We also tried to bob game, it was very pleasent and we had fun. But it's important to book a time in advance because it's very busy. 
Wellness part of the hotel is also very busy during the day. Usually we visited it between 7-9 pm because it's the silent hours, only adult time. This time the pools are quite and you can swim free. 
The hotel has a forest garden, it's very good to have a walk there, sometimes the wild animals visit the hotel garden. 
The crew clean the rooms daily. It's not a big cleaning, but they make the bed and empty the trash.

respectful, going above and beyond to accommodate and make the stay a great experience! even in covid-19 situation, it is a safe place to visit. All staff wear masks, and are very precautious in terms of hygiene.

We spent 3nights here in spring of 2018. We booked 2adults+1child.we got 2 rooms,my 11yrs old son loved he got same comfortable bed like an adult. He had own room with bathroom and tv. We asked some glu free option they could fulfill and we got a marvelous glu free cake as birthday gift. Staff were extrem friendly.we enjoyed the wellness part. if you like going excursion do not miss this hotel!

Best hotel in Hungary

Stayed at this hotel for a few days on a tour of northeastern Hungary.  Beautiful view, nice rooms and very nice staff.   Great area for walking.  Breakfast buffets were amazing and a lot to choose from.Nice playground for children including a zip line.

Beautiful view

The upper rooms have a great view overlooking the hills. The buffet dinner was outstanding in this category.  Good value for money. //

A felső szobákból remek a kilátás a hegyekre. A svédasztalos vacsora kiemelkedő  volt ebben a műfajban. Jó ár érték arány.

Great place!

This was the second time we went here because we liked it a lot the first time. This hotel is good to visit in any season. Its at the mountain surrounded by forest. Its beautiful.
It has a very good SPA with all type of sauna and pools and it offers an OK variety of foods in a half board configuration.
You can walk in the forest, bowl too.
The only 'complaint' I could have is that in season the prices are a bit excessive.
If you love traveling, sitting in a sauna and don't mind paying a buck, then this is definitely worth it.

PS: The gym is small and not very well provisioned.

Very good. Prices a bit high

The hills, the forest gives a unique view, especially from the pool area. Great family hotel: playground, pool, playroom, babyfood. Timetable of daily programs should be more colorful. Spa is good quiet, great service and atmosphere. The outdoor pool is amazing! Rooms are big enough, small disfunctions. Bowling is cool. We liked the food, variety was enough. Staff was always nice and helpful.
 

Wonderful view

I spent 2 nights with my friends here. The area in the forest is beautiful. You can do a lot of walking tours in Mátra.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The building has everything what we can expact from the 4* hotel!
The restaurant is good, but i think the breakfast is nothing special. The spa is nice with a sauna’s. The gym is a bit poor.

The room was clean, but i didn’t find hairdryer...

Overall i’m satisfied with this hotel and i gues i will return...

Very good hotel in a unique atmosphare

We spent five days here. Overall it was a nice and relaxing week. The wellness and the sauna facilities were great especially the private sauna. Only a few guests found it, so most of the time we were alone. :) The food was tasty and variant but the waitresses were so overloaded that sometimes we needed to ask them more than once when we have would like to order a drink. 
The view from our window was really nice, especially in the mornings. Our room was very tidy and spacious. We had only one minor negative experience. Behind the heavy curtains on the windows, we found a couple of dead and dried ladybugs that weren't removed during our stay. Since they were behind the curtains they weren't so disturbing but one small advice to the cleaning staff. Look behind the curtains as well. ;)
