I stayed there in August 2014. The room was very clean and cozy. Small, but functional, it has everything you need! (Own kitchen, private bathroom, towels, hairdryer, tv, wifi...). The location was perfect and the staff is very polite and welcoming. The only minor problem was the wifi: It was slow :( But anyway,  it's a great place, I would stay there again for sure!!! (cute rabbits in the garden! :) )

Lovely place!

Just what you want, good service, good rooms (if you can go for a bigger room, as it IS an improvement at a modest cost). Breakfasted there too (Room service at no extra charge). Really, just perfect in every little way. Ahh,  important note: room 7 has the best view. If they have this available for your stay then you found your place.

Important to note: the only 'down point' is bed size is a little small (standard 135 double), and ask if they have AC durng the summer if you feel the heat.

Great little place

Really enjoyed our short stay at Oazis.  Very clean,  beautiful rooms,  and very good value.   

Kitchen facilities were suitable for cooking a good meal so eating out is unnecessary,  however,  the lovely restaurant was so tempting that we found ourselves there more than once. 

Breakfast was perfect and the view was pleasant.  The only shortfall was the 15 minute walk to the town centre, but this is not a problem for drivers and enthusiastic walkers! 

Would definitely recommend. 

A lovely holiday by Lake Balaton

We had lunch at the Oazis restaurant, as it was reviewed favorably in the Bradt Hungary guide.  The food was ok (no more, no less) but overpriced for what it was, and the waitress blatantly short-changed us by 2,000 Forint (absolutely no doubt it was intentional - just hopIng we wouldn't notice).  Our mineral water was also served in bottles that had already been opened but had the caps replaced - likely tap water, but this could just be my heightened suspicion after the short changing incident.

This has never happened to me before, and I do not recall ever writing a negative review before, so I certainly do not consider myself to be an alarmist reviewer.  This was the one negative experience in our second trip to Hungary, so we have just written it off...but wanted to give fellow TA travelers fair warning.  For my two cents (or 2,000 forints) do not stay or eat here, and take your chances elsewhere.  Safe travels!

NOT REPUTABLE

We booked a small apartman which was impeccably clean and very well equipped. It had a fully furnished kitchen with a small dining space, a spacious bathroom and a big room with two beds, a couch, two armchairs and a big TV with satellite channels. They are supposed to operate the best restaurant in the peninsula, but since it is yet out of season, it was closed. They are in the process of transforming it into an all-seasons restaurant. Still, the owner was kind enough to bring us a nice breakfast on a tray, complete with hot coffee and milk at the requested time, all this included in the room price. We will definitely return in the summer.
