I had a long layover with Wizz and decided to book a room. This was just what I needed! I checked in at 2am and the family were there to ensure I could access the room.

Quiet, warm, hospitable and really catered to my needs. I liked the wood interiors which gives the place a ski lodge feel. The breakfast is included with all rooms and its a good one. Definitely recommended for stopovers for budget and business travellers. Good wifi and market/coffee shop/restarants nearby.

Perfect for travelers in need of rest

I took a cab from the airport here. and arrived quite late, but the man at the desk was great. The rooms was small but comfortable and it was very clean and there were pillows, blankets, etc. I ordered breakfast at 7 and at 7 it was on the table waiting for me. The service was excellent and the owners were friendly. It is not a fancy place, but if you want somewhere close to the airport, reasonably priced and very clean, this is a good idea.

a good place to stay if you have a late arrival or an early flight

Close to the airport. Very friendly people, answered questions and provided information to their best. Offered transportation to the airport early morning and prepared sandwiches for the road, since we missed breakfast.

Convenient, good value

The pension ‘Hargito Panzio’ in Vecsés is located less than 10 minutes by car from the airport and is open 24/7. When arriving at the airport don’t try using MiniBUD because thay don’t go here (to Vecsés), but chose FöTaxi which appears to be reliable. Get a ticket at the small FöTaxi booth outside the airport terminal. I was quoted a price of 2300 forint, but only had to pay 2010 forint to the driver of the taxi which was metered. 

Rooms are simple, clean and fairly cheap. There is a shower, a bathroom, a bed and towels. There is also a TV set, but you didn’t come here to watch TV, did you?  

Breakfast is included (tea or coffee, plenty of slices of white bread, one cold egg, jam and slices of salami) and you can be taken to the airport in the morning for 2500 forint.

All I spoke with had a good command of English. 

Cons: Walls are thin and you are likely to be disturbed by other travelers arriving late and/or departing early, so (unless you are a very good sleeper) do bring your ear plugs if staying here.

Good Budget Bed & Breakfast Hostel with very Kind Family. Room and Breakfast was also good.If you really seek Budget hostel with kind regard i recommend this hostel.

Good Budget Panzio (with 18 years of experience)

This property is best to stay a night before a morning flight. I slept very well on a very comfortable bed. AC works excellent and wifi is quite fast. There is also TV, good to listen to some music before going to sleep. I liked the breakfast they offer.

Very nice night before morning flight

When arrived at property (late night) they don't have a parking place, instead the lady from reception,said to park the car near a bank office (because it is protected by a camera!!!!).
Old furniture, no heating, we try to use air conditioner but I didn't find the remote, the smallest sink in bathroom i ever saw. The only positive was the hot water!

Just for one night

This small pension was a major disappointment. The rooms were incredibly small and dated and did not look at all like on the photos. The beds had somewhat saggy foam mattresses, and the bed sheets were rather worn and torn. There is no bathroom as such. Rather, immediately at the entrance there is a small shower recess on the one side separated by a plastic divider, and a toilet and tiny basin at the opposite side. The entire building is neglected and very dated. There are steep and worn stairs going to the upstairs rooms that may be difficult to negotiate for some people. On the walls of the common area there were some proudly displayed certificates confirming that the owner has been inducted as an ‘officer’ into a quasi-fascist military order first established by Admiral Horthy in the 1930 – some people may find this deeply disturbing, given that Horthys fascist  regime was responsible for mass murder. The owner offers a transfer to the airport (some 3 km away) at a cost of 4000 HUF in a rather neglected private car – convenient, but also even more expensive than the notoriously overpriced Budapest taxis would be. Overall, despite the low price, this is not a competitive option for staying near Budapest airport – the place is just too primitive, neglected and depressing.
