By all means:avoid. Loud music kept me awake half of the night and the owners refused to do anything about it. Most probably because the knew. Therefore heavily overpriced and no value for money no matter how nice the apartment looks from the photos. It will ruim your night sleep. Terrible!

Avoid avoid avoid

Great location in Akureyri. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the harbor. On Wednesday nights in the summer there is a classic car show within a couple of blocks. Spacious apartment. Modern decor. Love the convenience of having the washer and dryer in the unit. Only drawback was having to walk up to the 4th floor

Perfect location

We have spent just one night at Acco Luxury Apartments.
It's located in the city center of Akureyri in a very nice area. A few steps away from the main church and the Botanical Garden and all the nice cafe' of the city.
Nothing to say about the flat which is absolutely gorgeous, huge, trendy and provided of everything you might need.
Huge and comfortable bedrooms, wonderful bathroom: simply perfect!

Wonderful place

We were 3 friends that booked this apartment for a weekend trip to Akureyri.  The apartment has 2 bedrooms. One is towards the backyard and the other is towards the street.  I realized when I saw this that there might be some disturbances from the street during the weekend.  This would have been ok.  But what I did NOT realize was that there was a bar right under the bedroom and it was open until 3AM.  I was basically in the party downstairs until they closed - making it impossible to sleep in this room.  I was really surprised that they would rent out this apartment on a weekend for a group where it was obvious that this bedroom would be used - and even without letting us know.  I did book this apartment directly with the company - not booking site, so they did have the opportunity to inform me.  When I complained they didn't really care and said I should realize that there could be noice in a city center acoommodation.  I do know that but wouldn't expect to be basically staying in  night club.  Would NEVER book with them again - also for the attitude from the staff when I complained.  On another note - I know no idea how they call this LUXURY apartments - there is nothing luxury about it.  

Great if you want to stay in a night club !!

The appartement ( first floor appt 402 À) was so big for 4 persons. Everything was new and clean, Washing machine and dryer. Nice kitchen. Comfortable beds. On addition the location, in the Town center, was perfect close to bars restaurants and shops.

Very comfortable place

We've been all over Iceland and stayed in multiple amazing, beautiful places, by far this was the worst experience we've had ever in every way from customer service to the apartment itself (and not just in Iceland). When we came in (keep in mind it is a 5pm check-in which is late in and of itself) they told us it was self check-in and gave us information to get a key from a lock box. We followed the instructions and the key was not there -- we called them confused (after taking our suitcases up a flight of stairs -- there are no elevators), and they said they will call us back in 5-10 minutes after speaking with the manager. We waited with no call back, we had told them we had a car to return by 6pm and there was no street parking available in front of the building, but we didn't hear back until we called them back. They moved us to apparently a "deluxe", but really the same size apartment, and given we didn't see the earlier one there was no way of knowing if it was a "deluxe" upgrade. The new apartment given to us at 5:45pm was a building over and two flights up which we had to walk over ourselves with no "sorry for the inconvenience" from the team. Once there (with two suitcases and bags), we immediately noticed how incredibly hot it was -- the thermostat was set to 27.6 degrees C (82 degrees F). We tried to lower it to no avail, we called them about it and the general ridiculousness of the service and were told the manager was not available to discuss until the week later at the earliest (after 10 minutes of sharing the background). For the thermostat, we were told that people got cold in Iceland and that was normal. After a lot of argument, they sent someone up to tell us they didn't know what to do, that they always set every apartment to 21 degrees C. They told me they understood the frustration, but couldn't do anything to help us other than opening windows (which I had already done). Hour and a half later, every room (2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room) was still 26 degrees C or higher. Thank god for Expedia who helped to rebook us somewhere else that same night  (while management claimed they fixed the issues -- we had pictures to prove otherwise). Despite the money lost in late car rentals, groceries bought to cook in our own place, we moved on at cost to us for our last night. Manager still has not called us back...

Having never written a negative review, this is the first I feel is necessary for anyone traveling to Iceland. We've shared the same with Expedia and other agencies.

$350 down the drain, AWFUL MANAGEMENT!

We only stayed for one night, it was fine clean room and nice beds mostly just fine,  but as a woman I would not have been able to stay any longer since there was no mirror anywhere exept in the shared bathroom in the hall so I had to lock myself in there to get ready in the morning, hair, makeup.. and nowhere in the hotel could I find a mirror and an electric outlet in the same room for my hair appliances.. so all that was really frustrating..

First I booked the wrong date but the women who I talked to was so nice and change the date for me with out any cost for my, that is so nice and I was very greatful for this. This is not a hotel or a guesthouse, you will get info with all you need. The a apartment was big and very clean. Evrything you need is there. There is no lift and this is downtown in Akureyri and there lot of bars in the same erea so there will by noise in the weekends.

Great apartment

Lovely spacious penthouse apartment. 2 bedrooms. Perfect location for our trip. Nearby to everything! Well equipped, warm, cosy! A little noisy from the centre at the weekend but to be expected. Parking available at the big car park across the road. Free from 4pm till 10am Mon to Fri. Use clock card and obey the time limit.

We explored the diamond circle from here. There is a toll tunnel (1500kr per crossing) charged by number plate. Register hire cars on official site (veggjald dot is) otherwise car hire company will likely charge double.

Perfect for us

We stayed at the luxury apartment (entrance B). There was no lift and we had to carry our luggage to the 4th floor. The apartment comes with lovely decor and things are new and clean. There are no amenities in the bathroom though. 

We stayed on a Saturday night and the noise went on till 3am.
