One of the best bed and breakfasts we stayed in Iceland.
Very quiet , secluded place, with great view.
Rooms are not big, but very comfortable, clean and cosy.
Incredible lounge with choice of tea, coffee and biscuits.
Very friendly and professional keeper, thank you very much for your hospitality!
The B+B says the checkin should be before 9pm, we were quite late, I called the owner around 9pm (appeared to be his private mobile) and he was very helpful, reassured that we will be welcomed.
When we arrived after 10 pm the keeper was waiting for us and they have our names sticked to the doors of our rooms in case we would come really late. Incredible!

Owner of the best B&B I ever been!

Be careful  : misleading info on trip advisor : no restaurant for diner, (if neaded you will have to drive 40 km w/b) kitchen closed, jacuzzi closed, no personnel present,  ... just an old b&b with very small rooms. Nine view from the living room. Breakfast with plastic packed food, nothing fresh. Try somwhere else...

Hidden gem in the middle of nowwhere. Very nicely arranged common area and highly recommendable delicious 3-course dinner which we shared at one big table with other travellers from all over the world which ended up in a great evening full of stories etc. 

Nice outside hot tub open 24/7 as well as inside sauna.

This nice place in the middle of the Icelandic countryside is just superb. The hosts are very nice and helpful! The place itself is just magnificent and very clean. The main room leaves you speechless. If I had time I would have spent more evenings on the couch drinking tea and looking out at the beautiful and peaceful landscape. Great breakfast too. I really recommend this place!

Check in was friendly although we were dissapointed to find there would be no dinner served that evening.

The nearest place is a hotel in the town around 15 minutes drive away. A very average burger costed around 2,500 krona.

The lodge is fairly new, but has lots of character. As far as I could see, all rooms are twin bed and all have good to excellent views. They are a little small, but I found my room very comfortable. The Wifi was not very good.

The dinner/breakfast/lounge room is very comfortable with great views on 3 sides. 

Breakfast was good and included eggs and bacon. It was enhanced by the spectacular morning views of the mountains and river.

We (my 2 teenage daughters and I) were the only guests, although there are often fishing parties in attendance.

I could not recommend this lodge highly enough. It is among the best accomodation I have stayed in in Iceland and is an exceptionally cosy and pleasant place to stay. Ideal for breaking up a journey around Iceland's ring road but would also be great for a few nights relaxing stay with plenty of places for walking (and fishing!) nearby.

Comfortable, cosy, great views. Lovely location

It is a modern, nice equipped fishing lodge, 4 km from the ring road. It is peacefully located in a valley; with amazing views, but you get an impression that is in the middle of nowhere. Our twin room was very small, but nice decorated. Breakfast was excellent with ham and eggs, meats, fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt,… and good coffee. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. You can also use a sauna and a small hot pool. Unfortunately it is expensive, but this is quite normal these days in Iceland.

Quiet location and excellent breakfast

we spent only one night in a lovely place . Most enjoyable holiday, great hotel and very well located, you can feel the woman touch (the owners) in each place the staff were helpful & friendly .the rooms are large and clean .We were surprised by the owners on my wife birthday.the sunrise was unforgatable. Be happy to come and stay again next time for...
