My family and I stayed here 1 night.  Our bedroom was on the second floor and the steps were steep and narrow. The room was nice and warm. There was a tv downstairs and a make-shift kitchen. The bathroom was downstairs and the showers downstairs down the hall. The breakfast was nice. It was an ok hotel, but the hotel was full and with that many
people sharing bathrooms and showers it just wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for.

Unfortunately we stayed on a Friday night when the locals seem to visit the adjoining pub for fun. We were wondering what the locals did for fun when we arrived around 7pm but soon found out when the shouting, music and speaking through a microphone started around 10pm and continued past 1:30am. The guest rooms are in a corridor right next to the pub room so you can hear everything. Therefore, I would not recommend this place for typical visitors of Iceland (road trippers who need sleep). 
The 2 showers are shared with 5 rooms (I think it is, but luckily we only had to share with another family of 3 and were late on the road the next morning so had time) which are one end of the corridor, and the 2 toilets are the other end of the corridor, so it does involve sneaking past a sofa set up and seeing other guests. 
I did find a bit of condom wrapper on my side of the bed on the floor, which turned me right off, so cleaning of the floors could’ve been a bit more thorough. We also had to ask for towels as there were none provided in our room upon check in. I would not recommend this place.

Do not stay here if you need rest/sleep

Wonderful overnight stay in this guesthouse located near the entrance to Eskifjordur. Room rates are very reasonable compared to similar accommodations seen or stayed in during our 10 day trip through Iceland. Amazingly, a full breakfast is included in the room, something rare without having to pay extra. Breakfast consisted of a help-yourself simple buffet of cereals, a local type of delicious yogurt with muesli, hard-boiled eggs, salami, cheese, tomatoes, bread, pastries, waffles with fixings, coffee/tea. There are eight rooms. Each is clean, bright, well-maintained and well-outfitted with clean plush linens and comforters, a cupboard, and a sink with mirror. The room we stayed in also had a small table with two chairs. A nice touch were not only the water glasses on the table but also wine glasses. Two large showers are down the hall in which are provided hair/shower gel. There are two toilets which are however located at the other end of the guesthouse through the common area where the TV is, which means you may have to cross in front of other guests who are watching the TV with a quick "excuse me." You enter the guesthouse through its attached restaurant which offers an extensive reasonably-priced menu of starters, and main courses of fish, lamb, burgers, pizzas. Owners are a lovely hospitable couple who have been managing the guesthouse for three years. The gentleman is a qualified chef as was evident from the quality and presentation of our dinner (we ate in the restaurant the night we arrived). All in all, I would highly recommend the guesthouse as an excellent valued place to overnight or stay a day or two while you explore the east fjords.

Excellent value

I booked this last-minute when my campsite was rained-out, and it was great. I was wet and absolutely freezing, and I literally booked 5-minutes before showing up. The owners got there early to open it for me, and were really nice and attentive the whole time. The rooms are simple but clean, linen was included in the price, the wifi is fast, and the share-bathrooms are clean. Dinner at the restaurant was pretty good. It's really more of a sports bar so there were some locals having dinner while watching a game, but the place is pretty big so it's not really in-your-face. The food isn't gourmet or anything, but it's filling, buttery and warming - exactly what I was looking for. The free breakfast included tea, coffee, homemade bread and jam, a few cereals, and some basic pastries.

I have not spent a night there but eaten there a few times,the pizza is avarege nothing special,burgers are over cooked and i know for a fact that the chicken is cooked from frozen.
They need a new fresh chef with a new menu.

Im a local and I don't like this resturant. Been there many times and always the  same dissapointment. Cheap ingredients, like the salads and vegetables. I have been inside the kitchen and its really small and not well cleaned.....  ........
