Some people was in our bedroom
Nobody answers before a forth call to found us an empty bedroom.
Bath curtains was brocken
Wall are too small, there was moving when someone was closing a door
No toaster neither microwave for breakfast
People in charge of breakfast do not speak English. 

It is a pity knowing it was the most expensive hotel during our 3 weeks travel.

The virtual check-in experience might have been fun if the remote receptionist on the phone had made the effort to be friendly, and… if she had spoken English correctly. Let's move on to the sinister atmosphere of this unstaffed hotel lobby, the room was just dirty: hair in the shower and in the beds, sheets  folded up without having been changed (!), and leftovers from previous guests on the desk. Because of the absence of staff in the hotel, it was impossible to ask for a clean room, and from 9:00 p.m., no one would answer the phone. Last inconvenience, the breakfast service was canceled, "due to Covid". Nice excuse :(

Avoid this place.

We stayed here to visit the nearby national park. In the afternoon or evening there is no staff. Only in the morning when breakfast is served.
Rooms are clean and there is sufficient space, breakfast is fine. price quality is fine.
I would recommend the place as long as you don't need any support from staff.

Clean good location but no staff

We stayed here for one night whilst exploring the Snaefellsness peninsula. The lack of staff made the hotel really creepy for me, didn't help that the town in general was very quiet. We arrived at the same time as a bus group, who were confused about where they needed to go, so were just running back and forth yelling at each other for an hour. Had there been staff to check them in, this may have made things a bit less stressful for them (and us!). 
The bedroom was a good sized room, but I do wish they had a small fridge or kettle. 
Breakfast was not incredibly exciting.

Clean and comfortable, but no staff

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It is in a charming little town close to lots of nice points of interest. There is only one grocery store and a few restaurants close by in a neighboring town. The facility was nice and updated, though there is not staff available on site 24/7. Check-in is done on your own and you access your room using key codes that are emailed to you ahead of time. The breakfast was sufficient. Overall,i would recommend this hotel.

Nice, but no staff on site

We stayed here on our third night in Iceland while we explored the peninsula.  There is no front desk and they email you the front door code and the code to get into your room, so we didn't actually interact with anyone.  We arrived around 10:30pm and didn't have any trouble getting into our room with their somewhat unique system.  The room itself was a bit tired.  The beds and the pillows were saggy and not very comfortable and the bathroom and shower were small.  The lack of blackout curtains made sleeping a bit more challenging with the never ending daylight.  To be fair we only used this hotel for sleeping and did not utilize the breakfast buffet [we missed it as it closed before we left]. but we would have preferred a more comfortable room.  We checked out, again seeing no one and move on.

A Bit Tired

The hotel was a surprisingly nice and comfortable place. My family stayed there for two nights, we were impressed by how clean it was. For sure, there were no luxuries, but you do not go to this part of the world for a glamorous vacation. We got everything we need: clean room, comfortable beds, clean and spacious bathroom, decent breakfast, all for a reasonable price. 
It is remote, the nearest place with a restaurant and a grocery store is in Olafsvik, good 20 minutes away. But we chose that place for a reason, and it worked out better than we expected.

Comfortable, clean, very close to Snaefellsjoekull National Park

My boyfriend and I stayed one night. The codes to enter the hotel and our room were emailed to us. We got there in the early evening and there was hot coffee available. The room was clean and had basic amenities. Breakfast was included the next morning which had a variety of foods. We would definitely stay there again.
