The host are so nice and friendly. They are really taKking care on their guests and can give you good advices where to go in Iceland. The rooms are really cozy and clean. And the good thing is you can also eat there. 
I can really recommend this accomendation.

Nice and great host, which can offer you a room, dinner and a breakfast.

Nothing like a high class hotel but clean and tidy. The room was spacious with a kitchenette, toilet and a shower. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was nice and so were the hamburgers we had for dinner. 
And not to forget; a beautiful surroundings.

Nice stay in a beautiful area.

It never happened to me before that a hotel let me down two days before my staying...and without giving any explaination! We are a group of 5 people and we had booked 3 rooms at the end of June. I got a notification two days before my staying and my friends just one day before!! Should you decide to take the risk and book here, be sure to have a plan B ready.

Booking cancellation

We stopped here for dinner and it was one of the best restaurants we ate at during our entire trip! I was with my 5 teenage kids and we all loved it. The fish special was haddock and was delicious. My son said it was “the best burger he has ever had”. The menu is broad with many excellent entree choices, not just pizza and burgers. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Food!

I'm having a hard time to understand the rating of this place, but it is definitely too high. The few good things are these.
1. Staff is helpful with hints to waht to see and trying to fix things.
2. Their hamburgers are quite good
3. There is a nice view.
Besides that there is little to cheer about. On the negative side we have this:
1. Beds propped up on some high legs which is very unstable. Every turn you do will leave the bed swaying and creaking loudly.
2. 2 out of 3 available rooms when we arrived had no functional locks on the door. Door was able to being opened even when locked (supposedly). Luckily we could change room to the one that worked.
3. Hot water took forever to reach the shower. We're talking 4-5 minutes here...
4. The biggest problem was the breakfast provided in the price. It was served in the common room (not the nicer restaurant) and consisted of cereals (open boxes in a dirty area of the room), white toaster bread and in the freezer, you could find some jam (many almost empty), some ham (expired date) and butter. The water kettle had started some kind of microbiological growth experiment and we couldn't get the toaster to work. Yoghurt, juice and milk (variating dates of expirance, some good some bad). The breakfast here is underwealming and somewhat discusting. 

Oh! and they have a TV in the room (unusual in Iceland). A 14-inch old version of TV. Didn't even bother with that one. 

With a better breakfast, maybe served in the restaurant, better legs on the beds and real locks on the doors, this place would quickly rank a lot higher! But as it is now - aviod!

Never again

The view and location of this place is good and beautiful. As we traveled in February, I will recommend to stay in more populated place with more buildings around. This is because wind was so strong I slept with one only thought in my mind - I wish the roof and walls will not be blown away :D There were TV  with one channel. Kitchen equipment good. A little bit too cold to stay in winter. In summer - I think ideal place.

Not in winter

This is a lovely place! We stayed here for one night and can only recommend it. The owner is a really nice Icelandic guy, who can tell you a lot about his country and give you helpful travel advice. 
The room was in a separate house with a common room in the middle and (if I recall correctly) 4 bedrooms around it. Our room was very lovely and totally new. It had a cosy atmosphere, a super comfortable bed and an own bathroom. The view towards the mountain behind was breathtaking. 
There is breakfast for 8€ and you can take everything you find in the fridge of the common room. Basic toast, ham and cheese, some cereals, coffee, tea and cocoa. The selection could be better (maybe add some vegetables and different breads and cheese). 
I highly recommend earplugs, because you hear everything through the walls.

Lovely place

I was in this place for one “night” on a spur of the moment booking. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly but the part that made it amazing was just being there in the middle of nowhere. It felt untouched. Would recommend to any traveler!

This place was awesom!

Simple accommodations in a remote location.  Perfect for a stopover on the way to the Westfjords.  The rooms are large, clean and comfortable.  Breakfast is a meager affair, but there is really no other choice unless you have brought your own provisions.  The staff actually forgot to supply us with breakfast goods, but we received a very nice apology and offer to refund by email.  It was just an unfortunate incident.

Comfortable stopover

We stopped here after a day of kayaking in Westfjords on the way back to Reykjavik.  We arrived at 23:00, after the restaurant closed and the manager made us food anyway!  He also gave us really good tips on where to visit on the way back to the city.  Room was clean and quiet.
