It is not as centrally located as it sounded but with a half hour crips you can get to the centre. The bus station is also almost in front of the apartments. It is clean, spacious and well equipped with a kitchenette so you can also prepare a basic meal. There is a supermarket also close buy. It is located quite in the open so expect windy weather / but then this is Iceland! 

an unexpected find

I stayed at the Stay Apartments Einholt, they were clean and comfortable, very warm, beds really comfortable , apartments had tv, cooker, coffee machine and microwave , easy access to main street, would definately recommend , extremely reasonable priced too.

Bucket list and holiday

Stayed here in early February. We found the apartment easily enough using Google maps. The check in process is very simple, keys were waiting for us in reception (unmanned) The apartment was warm and cozy and had everything we needed for our four night stay, even have some english TV channels (BBC, ITV) which I wouldn't normally care about but as the snow storm cancelled our tours we were in the apartment more than planned so was grateful of some TV. The location is perfect, 3 min walk to the main shopping street and a Bonus supermarket. We cooked breakfast and lunch in the apartment which was well equipped for our needs. We had just one request during our stay for extra pillows which staff provided very quickly. All but one of our tours was cancelled as we were there during the very bad storm so we will definitely be returning and will book these apartments again.

Fab little apartment, location is excellent. Perfect base

Myself and my partner are just back from a 4 night stay in Grettisgata. We were a little apprehensive considering some of the reviews but we could not fault it. It was an excellent location right next to the main shopping/restaurant. The apartment was equipped with everything needed. Towels, dishes, cutlery, kettle, toaster,  microwave and iron in the lobby area. Shower was very powerful however strong smell(which I think is expected in Iceland) none the less it did not affect our great experience! Tv also had a few U.K Channels. I would definitely recommend! ❄️

Fab little apartment

Absolutely loved our quaint and cozy apartment. Gave us more of a traditional experience and feel while we were there than being in a standard hotel. Loved how close we were to everything and the apartment itself was wonderful. Clean and easily accessible, and staff that was quick to respond to emails if we needed anything. This is exactly how I would do it if I were to go again and I recommend this strongly to anyone thinking about going to Iceland. 

Quaint and cozy apartment in middle of Reykjavík

Stayed here Feb 18 for 3 nights as a couple. 

Little difficult to find on arrival however the location is fantastic and where you want to be in the city.

Everything was provided, apartment was clean and found no faults. It’s affordable, nicely decorated and basic, just what we wanted. 

We weren’t able to get as much sightseeing done due to a snow storm/road closures so will more than likely book again on our return trip!
