Great welcoming here at Karlotta an Hugo. Really felt considered and had great conversations throughout my stay at bed and books. Their house is a very cosy traditional Icelandic house. Breakfast was good and Karlotta's bread (homemade yes!) was excellent!

Covid iceland

Spent 3 nights with my family at this charming b&b very near from Reykjavik  city centre.
Very clean and well situated.
Our hosts made us so welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful.  We had the most amazing time in Iceland all thanks to Hugo & Karlotta whose knowledge was second to none.
Will definitely go back.

Very nice place and VERY frienly owners !!

We choose it due to short walking distance to the domestic airport as we where traveling to Fossavatn ski maraton in Isafjordur.

Good standard on rooms and basic Icelandic breakfast.
Newly renovated shower.

We did not have much time to spend on either outbound nor return but in all
very nice place.

About 20-30 min walk and you are down town.

On the way to Isafjordur

This was our second visit to Iceland and we were really happy to return to Hugo and Karlotta (and Gomez!) for a few nights. As per our previous stay, they were extremely friendly and welcoming. They gave us great tips for our trip, from locations not to miss to great restaurants. 
Their house is only a short walk from town and is lovely little place to stay. The fact that everything was so informal with them made us want to stay in touch with them straight away for this second trip. It's a great way to start your holiday in unknown territory! 

Will definitely book there again.

Our second stay

The hosts were really nice. Loved the idea of the books. Place was conveniently located not too far from the center city. My only complaint is that breakfast was subpar and not worth staying here for. That was my main reason for booking wanting a Reykjavik stay with breakfast. All the other places in Iceland during our 12 day journey had great breakfasts and fruit selection. (The apples were the only fruit set out for us and were wrinkly, soft, and old.) I think there are better places you could stay in the city, and I'd pick somewhere else in the future. Just got so spoiled the rest of Iceland with great food.

Nice hosts, adequate stay

Hugo and Karlotta were the perfect hosts and welcomed us in their lovely home. They shared their local knowledge of bars, restaurants and places to see which made our brief holiday all the more enjoyable.  The house is an easy walk into the city centre and harbour district. Our favourite route was along the shoreline. On our one excursion we were picked up and dropped off on the doorstep. The bed was comfortable and the books were eclectic. Highly recommended - to first time visitors or old Reykjavik hands. We shall return!
