Positives:
1) Very spacious apartment at the bottom of the stairs - two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom. 2) Free, fast WiFi connection. 3) Free street parking. 4) Well equipped kitchen with a stove, various pots and pans, kettle, microwave and fridge. 5) Iron and ironing board were available. 6) The location was reasonably central, 10min walk to restaurants and shops. 7) Toiletries were provided. 8) Large flat screen TV.

Negatives:
1) No tea/coffee. 2) the apartment was cold - some of the heaters were set up, so that you couldn't turn the heat higher. 3) One flimsy, thin pillow per person - no extra pillows were provided.

Nice location, spacious apartment

the apartment at 32 Tungata was everything its description made it out to be and more! We were three generations in the 4 bedroom deluxe apartment, a real luxury that it is split over two floors so we didn't have to worry about waking the  baby sleeping upstairs  while we were having dinner downstairs. It's within easy walking distance to town and the harbour... we never needed a car at all there. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, including enough space on the sofas for everyone... not something every apartment can boast! Getting in and out was easy with coded entry and contact with Jon was quick and helpful. It may be a little on the expensive side for some, unless you're filling all the beds, but it was worth every penny and we would definitely stay here again without a doubt!

A great base for a family in Reykjavik

The apartment was neat and clean with everything that we needed for our stay. The location was very central and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The host was very accommodating. I am happy to provide a good recommendation for 32 Tungata.

Good choice for a guesthouse.

The location of this property was wonderful - on a quiet residential street - an easy walk to downtown and to the Old Harbor area.  A convenience store nearby.  Near major streets - so pick up for tours was easy.  We stayed in the annex, so had a private entrance, and quite a lot of room as well as a kitchenette.  Space was well appointed - standard things travelers need were there.  Pots and pans were available, as well as some pantry items.  It was easy to get information from the proprietor  - even just questions about the area.  There is a place to store luggage prior to check-in time, which was very helpful.

Location & Cleanliness: Perfect

When we arrived, we were greeted by Jon. He was very nice and showed us round the apartment. I found the apartment to be very clean and have all the amenities we needed. It was in a quiet part of town and next to the embassies but within only a 5-10 minute walk, you’d be in the centre of Reykjavik. All tours also pick up at town call which is 5-10 minutes away. I would really stay at this place again when I next return! Thank you Jon! 

Fantastic apartment very close to the centre

Excellent stay in the 4 bedroom Deluxe apartment which was huge and exactly as described. More space than we were expecting set across 2 floors. Traveled in a group of 4 friends from Ireland and we all loved the stay. Had everything you would need and more and very well laid out. The triple shower was amazing also! Location was just a short stroll into the main nightlife/restaurants and we walked there & back every night. We had rented a car for day trips so the ample free parking was great. Wifi was perfect, Would definitely stay here again if I was coming back and would recommend to all. Thanks for a great stay

Excellent Stay

My partner and I stayed at 32 Tungata for 4 nights. The check in process was smooth with Jon leaving our key in a safe area and for us to make ourselves at home. We stayed in the garden annex which was perfect. It had enough room and amenities. We were even able to make food with a little stove, microwave and fridge equipped in the annex. The annex was warm with guide books and a tv you could watch, Parking was just off the street and we never had any issues with this. Jon was responsive and even went out of his way to help let us in when we had locked ourselves out..oops! Overall i would recommend this place to base yourself whilst travelling around beautiful Iceland. It had everything we needed and Jon was most helpful. Thank you!
