Last week I spent one night at TAJ HOMESTAY, it's like you're at home.
Faiz shows you how to go to all the touristic places and where to do shooping, 
He is very helpfull and kind.

He is also very flexible about checking in and checking out.

Late better than never - long time want to share about this Taj Home finally now i got opportunity to share with all of you.  Yes, me too read numerous reviews of this hotel but finally i choose this hotel as per my budget and was not upset at the end of the day.  We a family of 4 stayed in this hotel during May 2013 for about 2 days and our stay was so comfortable without any major inconvenience.  We visited during peak summer and the AC is perfect with a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning.  A perfect place for those who are looking for a budget hotel and very quiet and comfortable. Right place to stay within a Budget - Krishna Duvvuri

I am a bit late with my review, but was going through a few old pics of my Agra visit and remembered that I hadnt yet posted my review.
The first time we visited in Decxember 2010, the place ws great. 2 yrs later (January 2013), the place was a total disappointment. In the freezing winters there was no provision for a heater or even a hot water kettle. Everytime we felt like drinking some hot water we had to call room service. 
We were given a room on the 2nd floor and this place has no lift. As my mother who suffers from knee pain was travelling with me, we requested for a room on the lower floor but they flatly refused to change.
The generator is bloody noisy & you can feel the whole room vibrate. We couldn't sleep the whole night and also woke up with nasty headaches.
Food was ok, room clean & service was also ok, but the generator drove me crazy.  I'm not gonna book this place again for sure.

Taj Homestay - No way!!

Hotel located in a quiet area but 9 km away from Taj Mahal. There is nothing in the neighborhood. Dinner is possible in this hotel but it is better to avoid (very few choices and high prices). The room is large, tidy, the bathroom also, with hot water. Breakfast is fine. Wifi does not work very well. Professional photos do not match the reality of today.

Quiet but not very well located hotel

I was really nervous about staying here because of some scary and negative reviews but after staying there I have to disagree with them-You need to firstly take into consideration that Agra isnt the most modern or trendy place and there probably arent a lot of top places to stay. The room was grubby, especially the bathroom and the floor. However the bed seemed clean, the door locked and the water and air con worked. They also made us a really nice breakfast with the best cup of coffee I had overall in India. All of this for a cheap price. So if you are happy to stay somewhere basic for only a night or a few (which is probably all you need in Agra) then I would say this place is very good.

Great place to stay when in Agra

The hotel is a large house where only men work. We are greeted with a big smile of welcome and taken to your room where you are asked for a tip. The room is freezing, very cold and there is no heating. They drain the power during the night so we couldn't charge our cameras and phones. We were told that breakfast was served from 7 am. The next day we went to breakfast on the first floor of the hotel at 7 am and everything was dark, we walked to the reception to ask if the passenger was still sleeping on the floor. The type of words varied and continued to sleep. We turned on the reception to confirm that we were still holding the light because we were still trying to sleep... We couldn't believe the lack of respect that we were saying that there was more to the room, so we went to the reception to ask if the passenger was still sleeping on the floor.

The worst experience.

We arrived at a very cold night, when we played the hotel bell, they were a little late, because they were sleeping, but the reception was very good.

Buen hotel 

They couldn't find the reservation, we were put in rooms on the ground floor of the middle chaussée three and above all three noisy ratio quality price pretty good, no heating to avoid the winter, local cuisine only

aged badly

The Taj Home Stay tries in vain to achieve a quality standard: the room is huge but sad and empty, the bed is large but the sheets are too small, holes, no drawers and so many drawers, the corner tub is filled with large moisture tasks, the faïence tiles are torn by a wide crack that goes from floor to ceiling, the breakfast is sad and choiceless.
