We came with high hopes to this place. We booked the best room available- a suite room which was good. Unfortunately the rules of the hotel mean that the swimming pool (which is the main attraction) was closed to visitors. We pleaded with hotel management and they were not flexible at all . 
Generally I would not recommend this as a place for visitors.

Rules were totally inflexible

DON’T STAY here  !!!!!!!! I came on holiday from London .  The facilities are only available 5-9pm . What are people with small kids supposed to do in this heat ???!!!    Management did not compromise even though we are staying in suite room . Please stay in different hotel !!!!!!

Nice pleasure experience in YMCA Club Ahmedabad. Specially thanks to Mr. Siddharth Panjwaniji for nice management and giving best class services. Cafe food is also very tasty and fresh also with reasonable charges. Swimming pool is quite neat and clean with proper safety. Rooms are quite spacious and more comfortable to stay. Overall nice experience. Wants to visit it again shortly. Best club in Ahmedabad

Best club in Ahmedabad 

The hotel is clean, nice and safe especially for solo female traveller. Good for family to stay as the area has a big swimming pool, gym and others. It also has a good view. For those who will take nclex in ahmedabad, this is a good place to stay because it is only less than 5-minute walk to the pearson vue. Highly recommended.

Hotel to Book for NCLEX in Ahmedabad

This property seems ro be less explored though came more than a decade ago.
Rooms are spacious and certainly not well maintained.
The swimming pools are big and rhe indoor one is probably a warm one and good for kids. Overall good swimming experience.
The food of the restaurant at the ground floor is really tasty..we had ordered South Indian, sandwiches, couple of mojitos,thick shakes and smoothies and all were fantastic in taste and to top it up the service staff in the restaurant was at their toes and quietly courteous.
We had stayed over ensuing a birthday celebration of the little one and obviously any party does not for with taking memorable snaps but the guy at the restaurant door overlooking entry was very rude and abrupt and was uncaring for children only mindful of taking couple of pictures. The exit at night becomes tricky as from basement when Uou come out it's a sharp right turn instead of going straight but with no visible signage. The security in the basement was very polite and giving guidance to lift while the one on rhe ground floor parking was busy on his phone and finally came and ordered us to park the car in the basement instead.

Nice family place..staff needs grooming to needs of kids

Staff is very rude especially Vinod at swimming pool desk who noted down everone entry.He talks to guest and even small children very rudely.It seems they are not given any kind of training and behave in a very unprofessional way.

Horrible staff behaviour

I have never seen a worse behaviour of staff than this. They don’t really give you the solution but just keep saying whats the issue. I am going to be 26 and my membership expired last year according to their rules. But instead of telling me the solution, they just said go home. :) 

WORST BEHAVIOUR EVER. No sense on talking to the members. No respect given.

Worst experience ever

1. Reception intern staff handling. Old fellow looking like in-charge just not attending duties. No name plate to recognise. 

2. Rooms are large but old. Refrigerator not working. Dispute complains no positive response. Outer place looks like old government property. Not properly maintained 

3. Indoor swimming pool not working. All activity indoor and swimming pool not available for use from 10am to 5pm. May be sleeping hours of hotel staff. 

4. Indoor library not available from 11 to 5pm. 

5. Attitude of staff like government servants. Not interested in listening. 

Don't waste your hard earned money. 

Plenty of good property near by.

Worst experience ever in any resort

It is the 1st time that I venture to a non-5* hotel and was not sure of the facilities and the service.

I got a very warm welcome at check in and this made me comfortable with YMCA.

I stayed for 3 nights and I can highly recommend it.

The breakfast was not 5* and one would not expect that but it was good enough for us.

Everybody was very helpful and i would like to thank the Reception staff to assist me to re-book my air tickets as i had to cut short my visit to India and return to UK due to the virus. The wait times to get through the airlines was crazy but the staff, found different contact numbers and managed to get through. Thanks a lot guys

1st visit to YMCA

I was booked by a member for three days with an additional charge for early check - in.  Though surprised when I was asked to pay the entire amount at the time of arrival, I did so without any discussion. 

The room appeared to be decent but proved to be poorly maintained. 

There was a board displayed on the reception that wi - fi would be available for house - guests. When I asked for the pass word, I was told that it would be sent across. Despite a wait of three hours and repeated reminders, it was not given. Excuses were plenty and blame was put on the weather and excessive rains. However, the staff could not explain how it was working generally but not in the room allotted to me.  It is shameful on part of the management that wi - fi could not be made available through out my stay of three days. 

When I switched - on the tea kettle, the supply tripped. The replaced kettle was leaking and the next one took an eternity to boil the water.

The door of the cabinet housing the refrigerator was broken. 

A lamp bulb was fused and the lamp was full of dust. It was taken for repairs and did not return during my stay.

The saddest experience was in the dining hall. I mentioned my room number to the staff when asked. As soon as I picked up the juice, one person had the audacity  to tell me that I am not authorized to have break - fast as it starts from the next day. This was absolutely unacceptable on two counts:

     (a)     Nowhere is the person told that he is not supposed to have break fast. The room no is asked and the billing desk decides to either consider it chargeable or not.

     (b)     I had paid for early check - in and hence this stance was not tenable.

I was given some ridiculous explanation that the person is new and hence the faux pas but the conduct was unpardonable.

The redeeming feature was the food which was good.

There were other irritants during the stay like AC failure and all that the staff did was to blame the rains. The restaurant was without air - conditioning one full day.

The overall experience has been absolutely pathetic.
