Chaandhni Lakeview is located at the Nehru Trophy finishing point, which is right at the mouth of the Vembanad Lake. It's quite easy to reach from anywhere in Alappuzha. The Superior Rooms we stayed in, were really big in size and had all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The rooms were really clean. The balcony was pretty spacious and had a nice view of the water. The staff were very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good, as well. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

A great, family friendly place along the backwaters

Stayed one night, 24th July, 2023. Booked SDLX rooms through MMT. It's a smallish hotel, around 20 odd rooms. Rooms are spacious, clean with good AC. Has an inhouse restaurant, but may be due to being peak off-season the kitchen wasn't full throttle, offering only a few dishes.

Now I come to the most important thing about this hotel... it's location. It's right on the main backwater canal. The common verandah on the 1st floor of the old block, looks directly on the canal way. The annual Nehru boat race starts from here.

Had a pleaseant 2 hr morning boat   ride. The boatman was one Arun, a five star for him also. Got a chance to witness the practice sessions of two boat clubs.

Recommend stay.

Hotel with a five star location 

As the name suggests, this hotel is located just next to a lake and the lake and boats are visible from the balcony of the room.

They have a good parking space.
The check-in process was smooth.
The room was very spacious,and all necessary items were available.
The balcony is the main advantage and it gives a good view of the lake.

They have an in-house restaurant which serves breakfast. Lunch and dinner are based on request.

The swimming pool is 4ft deep.

We can hire a house boat or a shikara from here itself.

Overall good experience at Chaandni lake view !!

Awesome Rooms - Awesome Views !!

Positives are location is good , just on the bank of a lake, you can take shikara just from your room outdoor lawn area is huge , children can play and enjoy there.
Negatives rooms are not spacious, ac was not working properly, bedsheet was torn.

Ok stay

The owner Mr. Pappachen warmly received us when we reached.   We checked into our rooms by 12 : 30 noon.  It was lunch time, and we were  served with  a traditional  Onam Sadya.  (The banana leaves were missing).
Evening tea was served in their viewing deck overlooking the Punnamada lake  boat race track where all the excitements were stored for the next day's great event. 

On the next day,  we prepared ourselves to witness the great event called Nehru Trophy. The heats and finals started from beside our viewing deck. We had 
all the thrills and excitements of viewing the starting of the races . 
It was a magnificent experience to watch the return of all the snake boats and  other racing boats to their bases from the balcony of the resort.
It was a very  pleasant and enjoyable place.

The service was  going beyond the normal interactions with guests.  We felt heard and valued.

We were happy to get served by Ayub and his team.
They made our stay wonderful.

Nehru Trophy Boat Race, Sep.4, 2022 Sunday!

Had a very pathetic experience with the management. Rude, irresponsible and aggressive behaviour. They charge Rs 200 as parking fee. Moreover, they let outsiders park inside their compound just to charge parking fees (Of course, no receipt and they earn a hell lot of black money). There is no one to guide the parking or keep watch on your vehicle. It's very tight parking, there being many vehicles. High risk that your vehicle might get tampered with. Our vehicle got tampered with and when we asked about the same, they behaved very irresponsibly and even went on to call us "encroachers into their pvt property" and not informing them about the parking. Ironically, they were vigilant to get the parking fees from us. They entered into a verbal stand off and even called us few slur words. It's pathetic that my brother (who is in his 10th grade) who questioned this non sense and the insult meted out to us, was outrightly shouted down by them. From what was a negotiable issue, they escalated it into a big stand off. They even threatened to blockade us...It's a pathetic management and they are not ready listen, rather jump on your head...Felt very bad.

Extremely aggressive behaviour

Beautiful property with excellent service. We reached at 11 pm but Ayub was there to welcome us. He is a great human with a smiling face always. Rooms are very cozy with great view of backwater from balcony. Ayub arranged a wonderful shikara for us and within 15 minutes he arranged the shikara standing in front of the hotel. Other staffs are also very helpful.

Must stay in front of Alleppy backwater

Great place to stay. The Backwater view from the room is stunning. Strict covid measures also followed by the resort. Really pleased by the Owner, Alex who was great with his hospitality. Would definitely visit the place again.

Resort located at the Prime location and hospitality was outstanding special thanks to Alex & Family (Owner)  we are Group of 26 and going beyond guest expectations is the cutting-edge of the resort and we can’t ask for more because the entire owners family has the DNA of hospitality , Respect ✊🏾 care and kindness 

Best Resort

We a group of 7 college friends stayed for 2 nights and 3 days at Chaandhini Lake View resort. it is our first visit to Alleppy. Chaandhini Lake View resort is peaceful resort situated just on the side of the senic Punnamuda Lake. The balcony of the resort gives the view of all the lake & House boats pasing by on the lake. A very calm & beautiful location. The rooms are good. The food is superb. The Owner of the property Mr.Gregory is a very Hospitable person. He arranged house boats and also shikara ride at reasonable rates. He took care of us like his own family members. When we remember Alleppy 1st comes to our mind is Mr.Gregory and then the Chaandhini Lake View resort and all other memories are followed. We enjoyed our stay. Mr.Gegory personally dropped us at the Railway satation in his own car. we are very happy to have met such a great person. He guided us through our entire stay.
