I Stay for 3 Days at the Homestay from Gurinder and his Famaly, when i arrived i get invited in a Beautyfull House and my room was so nice. Everything is very clean here and the Food is so Good. Everybody of Gurinders Famaly is super nice, we laughed so much together 😂 Gurinder has also a lot of Knowledge about Amritsar, India, the Indian Culture and Hinduism. So we Talk a lot. We visit awsome Food places in Amritsar City and the awsome golden Temple! Thank you so much, Hope we will See us Again ☺️

The best Place to stay in Amritsar!

It was a wonderful experience. They really treated me very well. I had a wonderful company all the time. It is a very nice house, in a good area of the city, covering all important needs like a very large toilet, AC, nice and comfortable bedroom. The host is a very nice gentleman, well educated and very good English speaker. He showed me and took me to the most important places in Amritsar. I felt very comfortable. Totally recommended. 

Wonderful experience!

We had a very comfortable stay which was imbued with a family atmosphere. It was my first homestay and I was pleasantly surprised as were my friends. The breakfast was always excellent and the hospitality was unmatched. I wish Gurinder and his family all the very best and hope they continue to prosper.

An excellent experience

Three days at Gurinder’s place have been a very nice experience. Food, tea, sleeping, talks and looking after me when sick (thanks to his lovely wife)  Plus guiding me in the old town of Amritsar & in the village of his childhood. I enjoyed every minute!

Having a homestay in the outskirts of Amritsar.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Amritsar. It is a cosy place with a clean and nice room. 
Very caring hosts who serve a delicious
Indian breakfast and dinner. The owner knows his town very well and is also an excellent tour guide.


Excellent host and guide

I stayed at Johlz Homestay during my 36 day solo trip through India.This homestay was perfect and enjoyed getting to know Gurinder and his family. The room was very comfortable and the food is one of a kind, I even helped prepare one of the meals. I definitely felt part of the family at dinner, playing the harmonium, and sat in the garden to talk about life. I look forward to visiting again.

A Perfect Stay!

I can absolutely recommend it. I spent 2 days in this wonderful homestay and all was perfect. Very nice family, delicious food and clean house. I have found a new friend in Gurinder. Thank you Gurinder-Sahib 🙏🏽 This beautiful time will remain in my memory 😊 

Very wonderful experience

We stayed as a family of four for 6 days with Gurinder, Navdeep and their beautiful family (including pup pug Messy!). This was our 1st time in a homestay and the Johals made sure it did not disappoint!
Gurinder taught us so much about the history of Punjab and Amritsar ensuring we had real life experiences that we could never forget. An impromptu trip to Vecchoa, His family Pind (village), Where the children got to bathe in the freshwater well and visit a couple of local schools to see what life for children the same age as them was like there. Navdeep’s home cooked food was outstanding (I am Punjabi myself so don’t say this lightly!) especially when she made Okra hand picked from their garden that day.
Both gave the kids Punjabi lessons and their daughters took great pleasure in playing with the children too.

Gurinder guided us to some great eatery’s in town for lunch and toured us around to the main attractions with ease. The Johals’ place was a home from home and an experience we’ll never forget. No ask was too big. I cannot recommend the place enough if you want to get an authentic flavour of Punjabi life in the Holy City of Amritsar.

Unforgettable Stay in Amritsar

We are a couple travelling north India and Gurinder and his family provided the perfect stop for us in Amritsar. He has excellent knowledge of Indian history and gave us brilliant advice about where to go and what to do. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and provided a great opportunity to learn about their family life and such. We were very grateful for such a welcoming atmosphere and the bedroom and house was very comfortable and a short distance from the crowds of Amritsar. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again!

Cosy and welcoming stay

We stayed here for 1 night during our tour through North India. There should have been more!  What a beautiful and quiet homestay, and what a warm and nice family. They make sure you feel completely at home. Gurinder is also a perfect guide for discovering the city, he took us for the  Heritage Walk, a tour through the ancient and narrow streets of Amritsar and learnt us everything about it's history and it's rich culture, we visited the Golden Temple and it's impressive kitchen and he took us also to the ceremony at the Waga border. It was all really fantastic !! We have the perfect memories of our stay here. Really highly recommended !!
