Trekking with govindan - wow bison

Stay and food was good. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Complementary trekking was cherry on top. Our guide mr Praveen Kumar made sure we started trekking with sticks and made sure everyone was safe.

Wow bison stay was pleasant. Sweet potato restaurant food was delicious. Crew were very responsive. Mr Praveen coordinator at wow bison took us to nearest trekking spot, which had highest peak view. Thanks

We were a family group of 12, stayed at WoW Bungalow.The place is amazing. We stayed only for two nights. Wish we booked for more time. It was very neatly maintained, suitable and safe for babies. It's very next to the main resort, so you can enjoy amenities there as well. We were alloted a separate person [Raja] to help us out with our needs. He organized the camp fire and was very receptive of our feedback. The restaurant food is flawless. 
The resort also located pretty close to the sky park and some view points. Overall the best stay we had as a family so far.

Amazing, Beyond expectation

Rooms were neat and clean. Hospitality was awesome. All staffs were helpful and  polite! Food was too good and chef was courteous enough to cook whatever we asked. Govindan was very helpful in checking if we were comfortable! Manager was also very nice person. Worth spending time here!!

Room:
I had taken a "Heritage Room". While some other options are: Executive Room, Swiss Luxury Tent and Grand Swiss Luxury Tent. The room is built in a colonial or grand-village style and looks like it has been constructed newly. The room is very spacious at around 18 * 20 feet. Ceiling is 12 feet tall and gives the room a very airy feel. Bathroom is 10*8 and quite spacious. There is a lot of chocolate-colored  furniture like two two chairs, a table, a small stool in front of a beautiful mirror, open cupboard for clothes, luggage-rack, bed-side drawers. The highlight of the room though is a big 6 feet long wooden swing  one side of the room. The swing  is clamped to sturdy steel chains that are fastened at the ceiling. The room has coloured-glass windows which can be opened quite easily. Mosquito repellant is provided. Both AC and fan is available. There is a small balcony provided that gives an excellent view of the property and there is a lovely sturdy rocking chair in it which you can use to sip your favourite tea-coffee in. Condiments like tea-bags, coffee ratchets, creamer, sugar, stirrers, 2 bottles of water and an electric kettle are kept on a table and can be replenished by simply calling the reception. The flooring is that of nice green tiles inside the room, light brown in the bathroom, and baked tile-color in the balcony. The bathroom utilities provided are: a pack of 2 toothbrushes, toothpaste, moisturiser, comb, shaving gel and razor. The bath area has a separate tall supply of bath gel and shampoo, whilst also having a small stool likely to be useful for elders to sit on. The WC is easy to sit and get up for elders as the sink platform can be used for support too. This room is suitable for a family of 2 parents and a kid or 2 elderly people. An extra bedding can always be asked for if you need.  People who love large airy rooms common to the construction seen 50 years back will absolutely love this. The heritage rooms have another advantage as in it is closer to the back gate of the property, so the elderly for instance neither need to walk much or climb any steps to reach their rooms (if it is in the ground floor). While the main gate and reception are at a much higher elevation in the property and walking down from there to the rooms requires navigating a lot of steps (at least for the very-elderly)

Outside Area:
There is a nice swimming pool right in front of the heritage rooms building, which has a rectangular deeper section and a semi-circular kids shallow section. There is a play area that is suitable for kids below 10. It has a slide, trampoline, seesaw and two swings. One can also play badminton in a concrete court next to the swimming pool. Here they grow a lot of vegetables and fruits like bottle-gourd, beans, carrot, beetroot, brinjal, cauliflower, cabbage, strawberries (hydroponics), pineapple, orange etc.

Restaurant:
It provides a buffet as well as a' la carte service. It is totally vegetarian. I tried the breakfast buffet and also tried the dinner buffet. While it is not a very huge spread, it is still quite awesome in terms of the variety and in terms of the taste. It costed around 620/- per person (tax included). Ordering in-room can be a bit expensive as the options are not too many and might end up buying a few more things in case you or family is famished. There is a decent hotel nearby (attached to a resort), 400 metres away which could be a good option on certain days. Remember that Yercaud has only a few decent eateries (there is a nice momo-place though)

Room Service:
The staff is very kind and accommodating and can speak in English if you cannot converse in Tamil (like me). We will need to have a bit of patience as the property has an  undulating landscape that makes it difficult for these concierge people to traverse up and down from the concierge or restaurant to the rooms.

A nice advantage to staying in Bison woods is that it is only 1.5 km from the immensely exciting "Sky Park" adventure and fun park on one side and about 1.5 kms from Peeku bird park which is also a must-go (one can interact with the birds as they fly about and sit on your hands, head etc.).  The Sky-park with 32 activities (17 of them being rope-based like zip-lining, surfboarding on a rope or cycling on a rope at 40 feet height, butterfly park, sky walk etc. is simply a MUST-NOT-MISS especially if you have kids above 5 years of age. The sky walk is a 80 feet glass tower that needs to be reached with a cable-ride and has a glass ledge on the very top where you can  stand while taking a breath-taking view of the valley. The entry fee for the park is Rs 1000 per person and is currently free for kids under 5. 

A Great, Cozy Place With Lots of Good Things to Say

Well maintained environment ! Responsive staff have shown and given immediate attention for requirements, short trekking made suit for all family ages to small mountain top to have strong cool wind/breeze from valley! Nice memories to recall and feel 👍

Exploring Yercaud

Resort is very good. Stayed in Heritage room, had a wonderful experience.. Food is good, purely vergetarian though the service is  bit slow due to fewer staff nevertheless available staff very helpful and displayed 
very good behaviour. Worth the visit. Location is too good

Yercaud bison woods

We had a wonderful stay in Wow bison. It is safe, clean and a beautiful place. Food is excellent and the staff is courteous. Bathrooms were clean. Swimming pool can be cleaned more frequently and insisted on a dress code.

Fun friends trip

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful resort with my family and I must say it was an amazing experience! This place is truly a hidden gem in Yercaud. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the amenities were top-notch, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this resort and look forward to visiting again soon!
