There are multiple restaurants and shopping options within close walking distance of the property. If a central location on a budget is your priority, you will not go wrong with this place. As far as the room quality is concerned, I stayed in the purple room during my visit and while the room was very spacious, there's significant room for improvement to enhance the room experience. I feel the bed spread, rug, curtains, etc. wore a rather dull and threadbare look. I encourage the property to invest in some long overdue sprucing up of the place - it will go a long way in making the rooms as lovely as they seem in the pictures! My room was on the second floor. The property has no elevators but the butler was kind to offer carrying the luggage for me. Coming to the amenities, there's a kettle/tea coffee service in the common area on the second floor. There was a TV in my room but it didn't work and I didn't bother to get it fixed as my stay was short. They show breakfast as an option whilst booking (and I was actually looking forward to it) but the butler shared that they've halted breakfast service at the time. So if you want breakfast option during your stay, you'd be well-advised to first check with the property. There was wifi in the room.

My visit coincided with a major bore-well drilling job at the property. That meant significant, incessant noise reached my room on the second floor. The drilling work went on from early hours of the morning to late into the evening. The property had called me a day before my stay to inform that although bore well work is going on, they assured that no noise should reach my room. I wish they had been more honest, upfront, and sincere in admitting that the noise was bad and that it would indeed reach my room. It was a deafening roar throughout the day and late into the evening - the last thing you want after a busy hectic day. It would have been reasonable for me to expect the owner/host to show up and discuss with me in-person about the noise: but none of that happened. Since the main entrance was blocked off because of the bore well job, I was asked to use the back entrance to enter and exit the property. The back alley was a rundown narrow passage with space enough for half a person to pass at one time and had many leaking pipes, etc. with no lights for use in the night. Suffice to say it was quite unusable. This episode soured my entire experience and I will possibly not consider Amber Inn for any of my future stays. I booked this property after reading several encouraging reviews. It is disheartening my experience did not live up to the expectations. A lot of it could have been remedied had the owner/host interacted directly and been open about the challenges.

Rooms need sprucing up; noisy borewell drilling cast a pall over my stay

During my stay . Here are the Comments :

(1) Hotel provided a comfortable room, good breakfast and friendly attentive service, good internet speed, Very good value, and was within walking distance of major sights within Bangalore city.

(2) This was my first time to Bangalore and i loved every minute of it. The hotel was just what we needed; comfortable, extremely clean and very friendly. Staff were professional and approachable and were always able to help.

(3) Very close to the Metro. Lots of lovely restaurants close by too.

(4) The staff was genuinely caring. Felt like have come to stay with relatives! Love you guys for making my stay such wonderful.

(5) I would like to thank  specially the Cook (SUJAY) who made perfect  and delicious -both breakfast lunch  and dinner.

Amber Inn has its standards in place, very professional staff and are always available to extend the service, most importantly they enjoy what they do and carry a smile through the day.

Sharon and Mary represent the team so well, both of them are experts in what they do, everything was a smooth process, from the booking over a phone call, to the checking in my guests and clear billing and check out, this place has got its rating from my end just because of both of them.

This was a business booking and I have put my guest here earlier and when they were traveling to Bangalore this time they insisted to stay at Amber Inn for the fact of a comfortable stay at a prime location and still feels at home and I highly recommend this place, Thank you.

Pleasant and comfortable stay

I had booked Amber Inn for a group of delegates who were visiting India for a study tour. We spent almost 10 days at the Inn that it felt like home! Sharon and Mary were extremely helpful, always smiling and ready to answer all our queries. They have a beautiful common room, spacious rooms with comfortable mattresses. Breakfast was always yummy with a new fish being served every day. The best was the idlis with fresh coconut sauce. Amber Inn has courteous staff who are accessible and don't get overwhelmed by your questions. If you are looking for an experience in a house as compared to hotel, I would say go for Amber Inn.

Excellent Service, Amazing Rooms

One of the best economical stay in Bangalore. Close to the many attractive locations in Indiranagar. Very budget friendly stay. Good rooms and the amenities are also fine. Really happy with the accommodation.

Arrogant check in ..he will be as slow as a snail ..then he will keep checking on you ...will wait an opportunity to get into an argument .

Its run by a bunch of house maids & cooks so you know the quality of breakfast.
