This hotel is a fraud. Charged us 4k per room which had leaking commodes, stinking rooms, and repairs going on all over the place. Morning went for a bath... No hot water in almost all the rooms. The poor plumber just went mad and failed to do anything. Then we took hot water from the tea maker and had our bath.  Restaurant is closed. Bar is under repair. But they are accepting bookings. 8 of us sat down for the complimentary breakfast. Served us 8 puris for 8 heads. Then gave us more after telling us that we should have asked for 8 portions. Over a period of 1 hours they just made a mockery of the breakfast. A huge fraudulent activity. Felt like ripping them apart. The only good part is that the young staff who had been placed as fodder before the irate guests were trying their best to clean up the mess. You really cant be angry with such a bunch of nice guys. Shame on the management... the greedy ones, the beggars..

A rip off with free nightmare

I stayed here from 25 th December to 27 th December 2021. A perfect peacefull stay what I can say about this resort.
Room: 4/5. Rooms are pretty clean, nice and spacious with a heritage touch. Washroom are clean. Hot water available 24 hours. Room service on call. 
Only bad part 2 lights were not working. 

Service: 4/5. Here in reviews read a lot of wrong ones so expections was not high. But at the end of the trip I can say that service are really great. On time service, good behaviour may be not professional but they are extremely friendly and well behaved ones. But still I will say property is a bit understaffed.  

Food: 4/5. Foods are awesome. Good taste. Prices are reasonable. Complimentary breakfast is included. Max they will take 25-30 minutes to deliver the food.

More over neat and clean properly. 
Location is a bit problem for the property. Near about 2 km away from sonibar er hut, and more than 3 km away from viswa Bharati. Prantik station is close to this place.

Great stay.

Very good resort  for holidays. Outstanding customer service available here. Good behavior of the staffs. Rooms are very nice and clean. Food quality is superb. All kind of food available. Nice atmosphere. 

Outstanding customer satisfaction

We’ve been here recently and are really happy with the service, ambiance, food. All the staffs were so dedicated. We would surely recommend Camellia Shantiniketan to our friends and whoever asks for suggestion.

Satisfying stay

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in,filthy dirty,damp,smelly.The whole building is neglected ,its as though it's been locked up for a while,just left and someone has come back in a hurry.Rooms damp,mould,my sheets had blood on them,the towels smelt of cigarettes.The public areas were empty,gloomy,no atmosphere ,again dirty unswept.Not always hot water,some had no water at all.Seemed to be plenty of staff,suggest they clean the place up,better still knock the whole place down!

AWFUL

Now a days, Camellia is one of the worst properties in Santiniketan. Tonight myself along with my mrs. visited this hotel besides Prantik railway station to taste Chinese dishes. We ordered Hot n Sour soup ( Chicken ) and Mix hakka noodles. After a long time, waiter came with veg. hot n sour soup and he informed that, quality of chicken is very bad. So, we were under force to take Egg noodles. But, sorry to say that, quality of those foods are not up-to the mark. Even, they are charging Rs.75 for soup and Rs.130 for noodles, but tastes are not at all good.  
The management should give proper attention on the same. 
Once, this property was a star in Santiniketan but now a days, every thing is becoming worst.

Worst property in Santiniketan

The property is really good. The rooms are spacious. Bath room are clean. Swimming pool is also crystal clear. But the real problem is food. The quality of food is very bad. They do not get order of snacks after 8 pm. You have to order breakfast with bed tea otherwise they do not serve only bed tea.

Great property but Food is terrible.

Firstly the rooms are not good as they show us then they don't even provide hot water to bath, and the food gives you food poisoning. This is the worst place I've ever visited. I won't advise people who are going to stay there in future.
The swimming pool contains a lot of chlorine which goes inside our body and affects our body and makes us sick.
Then there's not even a single person on reception desk to listen to our grievances.

Worst stay ever

Well, this hotel looks good in the pictures especially the pool. The rooms are decent too. However, neither  of them is maintained properly! The rates of this property are on the higher side too! So i would not recommend!

Maybe avoid!

Hotel is good and even the rooms.But the staffs surely lacks customer service.We stayed here for night but trust me it was a average experience.We thought of going to the pool,but it wasn’t maintained properly so avoided it.Also the tariffs are higher.Please avoid this hotel
