We read all the glowing reviews and wanted to give this place a shot. Everything was fine until one day we were downstairs and heard Lucky screaming at his wife. Then we heard a loud smack and things became silent. They realized we heard them and tried to be overly nice.  Very fake of course.  My wife felt scared. We were even nervous checking out.  I know stuff like this may be common in India, but you have a choice if you want to support this.

Travelers can be very naive

We stayed here for 3 nights in one of the deluxe rooms facing the Palace and Fort.The rooms are clean and nice, the family that run the place is so kind and make you feeling at home. Furthermore, food is just amazing!Prince Haveli is a great place to stay.

“I just loved it”

I booked this place through TripAdvisor and reached Bundi late in the night. I was given a decent room with double bed sofa and an air cooler!! 

If you want to live and experience Indian culture and food then this is the place. Awesome vegetarian food made fresh and served hot. 

Bundi itself is a beautiful laid back city but you will fall in love with the place if you stay with Lucky and his family, else you haven't experienced Bundi.

My stay started with apprehensions and by the time I left, it was more like leaving a friend's place. The family will go all out their way to make your stay memorable.

Prince of Bundi 

If you are booking this hotel online; beware! The rooms we were shown were not clean, (ours was damp, had mould all up the walls and next to the bed, and had stains on the sheets) there was no WiFi, and breakfast was not included, even though it said it was when we booked. Unfortunatly, we arrived late at night, so had little choice but to stay the night as nowhere else was open. Overpriced for the conditions of the rooms and the lack of facilities. We found an abundance of much cleaner, cheaper rooms elsewhere in Bundi.

Stay somewhere else...

Staying with lucky and his family is such a unique excpirience, they are funny, easy going, sharing much of bundi and rajastani history with you . the food is so good. Everything is freshly cooked in the homely very clean kitchen , right in front of you, and afterwards eating together having a nice chat and great chai !
