No Frills just a great place to stay. The room was first class immaculate so peaceful. Margaret and Anthony are so helpful but very discret. Situated on the main road but a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Candolim 

A Peaceful Oasis but close to  everything 

Situated on the Aguada Road what a fantastic little place the room is spacious and is furnished to a high standard and maintained and kept spotless by the owners.This was our third visit and next year is already booked.Its such a peaceful place it truly is a little gem.Anthony and his sister Margaret are  attentive to your needs and our a joy to talk to.We have been coming to Goa for 24 years and DSouzas is easily the best place for quality of room and excellent value for money.

A tranquil little gem

Stayed here for 10 nights at the beginning of February. Anthony, Margaret & their mum are lovely people, Anthony was up early to greet us when we arrived & let us stay in the room on our day of departure until our taxi arrived.  The room was very spacious & spotless with a lovely view of the garden from the balcony.  Air con / fan / shower / fridge / tv all worked great - no issues at all.

Lovely holiday, quiet location.

We stayed here for two weeks and loved every minute of it.Anthony and his sister couldn't do enough for us, even stayed up to great us at 03:00 when are plane arrived late. They serve breakfast in your room which you just ring down for, toast, omelette and tea / coffee which was all we wanted but there are plenty of breakfast spots if you want a change. We also organised pick from the airport with them then found a great local driver who parks outside the guesthouse. We chose a deluxe room as it was our anniversary which had air conditioning and a t.v. there was a fridge and sink in a small kitchen area but no cooking facilities, you can ring down for hot drinks though.all rooms have balconies and we had a great view of wildlife in and around the garden such as peacocks and a mongoose in the palm tree over our balcony, far more entertaining than the t.v. I would certainly be staying here again when back in Goa, the location is ideal as it's towards the quieter end of Candolim but only minutes from bars mini markets and shops, the bus to Mapusa stops outside every few minutes and only costs 20 rupees each and is a great way to see the area.

Fantastic stay.

Having just returned from our annual winter holidays, we can't thank Anthony and Margaret enough. Such lovely friendly people who work hard, and still nothing is to much trouble. Margaret is very proud of her garden, and feeds wild peacocks daily, that come in from the surrounding bush.
Rooms here are very clean with lovely tiled floors.there is a fridge in the room together with a t.v. also a lock up wardrobe. There is a small shortage of storage space but we managed for 3 weeks.
We arrived at 2am and Anthony was there to greet us , and help with our luggage. They were both there to see us of at 10 pm for our return home, but also stay out of your way when they are not needed.
Only downside we could find was dogs barking in the night. Margaret explained they had 5 dogs, as they are essential for security !!!!. We had no problems with security at all, and would rather have had the peace and quite. However then the neighbours dogs would have kicked of anyway.
All in all a lovely place to stay. Thank you Anthony and Margaret .

Love the peacocks

A clean property by Indian standards but with drawbacks such as an obscure pricing policy for rooms which seems to be based on nationality, stray dogs barking throughout the night, tree frogs on the balcony, mould in the bathroom (extractor fans needed), a 'safe' which is a wooden lockable drawer in a wooden lockable wardrobe and an indifferent attitude to guests who have supported D'Souzas for a number of years.
It has the advantage of a reasonably priced laundry service but don't expect a same day service and on most occasions it has to be chased up.
On site parking is supposed to be provided but this is on the busy Fort Aguada Road which runs in front of the property.
Burning plastic can also be a problem so windows and doors need to be closed when this happens.

Great for wildlife

Just got back from mr d,Souza holiday home after a 4 week stay . Same as last year Anthony arranged our pick up and was there to greet us at 02.00 am. Had the exact room 107 which over looks a grass , tree lined area . Room spotless everyday, laundry and towels every other. Always hot water , air con worked. I can't thank them enough for the service and friendliness. Thank you Anthony and Margaret hope to see you soon. One of the cleanest home stays you will find at the quieter end of candolim. If he has a room on your dates , just book it.

Excellent position, very clean .

Just returned from 3 week stay at these lovely rooms. Very large ,clean well situated to restaurants and beaches .Host Anthony and his family could not do enough for you. We had all our laundry done before we returned home . Excellent value for money.Rooms cleaned and bed changed every other day.Even when leaving Anthony came to help us with our luggage.Emailed ahead of arriving .Fridge was stocked up with beer and water. You could even have a wonderful breakfast delivered to your room. Rooms spotless ,plenty of hot water. Nice quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the busy part of Candolim,but in a great location.Would recommend this accommodation to any one. Would definitely stay her again
