A modern stylish hotel on the busy and dirty Walltax Road.  I picked this hotel as it was within a 5-minute walk to the main Chennai Central Rail Station and a little further to the suburban stations of Chennai Park and Park Town stations.  We stayed for 3 nights and had room 206, which was a twin room with a double bed and a single bed.  The room looked spotlessly clean on the first glance, but on closer inspection, the walls are marked with dirty patches around light switches and doors.  It was a good size room but had limited space for luggage.  The beds and pillows were soft, the air-conditioning worked well with a fan and TV.  At $A105 for 2 people for 3 nights, which included a Southern Indian breakfast of curry, it's a good back-packing hotel.

Happy daze in Chennai

We stayed in this hotel in Chennai near Chennai central station .We reached after mid night .We completed all formalities and the bartender carried our luggage to the top floor by lift .We liked the room and it had a small balcony .The room was a lovely one though not very hifi.We got cold water and the hotelier told us where cold water was available

RUDE STAFF .. DO NOT GET STUCK BY BOOKING THIS HOTEL

Recently on a trip to Velangini we had a short stay stopover in Chennai. The purpose was exploring Chennai and finding a roof where you have comfort, safety and privacy as a family. Where you can be just within and relax while you are in. 

Selecting online City home in Chennai was a wild bet. It had good reviews and good image of cozy rooms and accomplishment facilities list. The prime reason was its Central location. 

Reaching City home,  check in was smooth. The room we opted suited 3 of us. The room had an ambience, silent a/c, no bright glaring lights, private and clean.  The only negative feeling in a way you get is the room is a box with no view. The washroom has essential basics. Good fittings. No hassles. 

The room service is available but the restaurant is not. Breakfast menu is bare essential. So it's good in a way that you spend a dayout for your work and return to room to relax. 

A Good option for short stay duration.

Smoothie.

Comfortable accommodation near the central station. The hotel is small and the staff is friendly. Simple and basically clean. We walked through the night and it looked like a real mirage.

Island in the Desert

Located approx 250m from Chennai Central Station, this hotel is good for Travelers esp Businessmen and Executives for short stay. Although Tariff is not directly proportional to room service or facilities, but it value for money, as rooms are nicely done and its relatively new hotel and a/c works fine unlike other hotels. Staff needs to be taught lessons on customer service, as they are not so polite.

Decent Executive-Class Hotel

Very comfortable and very clean room with hot water, air conditioning and free WiFi in a recent hotel at a very reasonable price. The staff is welcoming and cautious. Lennui is the neighbourhood around the hotel which is very noisy, dirty and miserable (many people sleep on the sidewalk around the hotel). Do not take the rooms that face the street.
