We had a wonderful time in Homested Homestay! The hosts welcomed us very warmly and the room was very nice. It was quite spacious, with a private bathroom, a big bed and a balcony. Plus, everything was very clean. We had very good home made breakfasts with local food prepared the very morning. The host also gave us a lot of information about what to do in Kochi and thanks to him we saw an amazing traditional Kathakali show as well as a beautiful classical Indian music concert and had a very good ayurvedic massage! Plus, the house is very close to most attractions of the city and we could walk to pretty much every where we wanted to go. I really recommend Homested Homestay as the hosts are extremely nice and caring and the house is very confortable! Thank you for everything!

Wonderful Homestay

Homested Family made our first day in india very comfortable. Dev, the owner helped us everywhere. Dev can also help with tours in Cochin. The boating tour through the backwaters was a nice experience.

Very nice family

Homested was an ideal place to stay with a warm welcome, including offering information about the location, things to, places to eat. The owner / staff arranged a private taxi for me in preparation for my departure, booked dance tickets for me, reserving the front row and also booked my partner and I a massage, which was also very good.
They arranged our laundry which was done promptly.
The Homested breakfasts were delicious and included toast, eggs, fruit, home made local fruit juice and a local style breakfast dish . I had two breakfasts at The a Homested and due to that was able to try two different local breakfast dishes. 
The owner, family and staff go out of their way to accommodate guests.
The home is very clean, air conditioning works well, the bed was comfortable, supply of water pressure and hot water was perfect. There are several common areas which can be enjoyed such as the balcony we had, a shared visitors dining room and roof top area which is under cover.
It is located a short walk from restaurants and attractions.
We had a very pleasant stay.

Excellent at everything

The location was good, a bit of a walk down to the Chinese fishing nets, but it wasn't a massive walk. The drive from the airport was quite lengthy but the owner arranges a pickup if you request it. The room we had was lovely and the water in the shower was really hot! There were two reading lights provided which is always appreciated as we like to read most nights. There is a rooftop area where you can go and relax too. The people were lovely, the lady of the house saw me struggling on the stairs the following day and asked if I would like to move to a lower floor. I thought this was exceptionally helpful thought on her part, especially as we were only staying one more night. Breakfast is provided and there was plenty to eat, and plenty more offered if required. We were provided bread and jam and fruit and a drink on arrival too.We had a balcony as requested, but sadly it was glassed in. There were windows you could open but it slightly diminished the enjoyment. Despite the booking confirmation advising that you can pay by card, you can't, they require cash. Be useful if this was clear on booking to aid cash flow

Lovely place, lovely people and would recommend it

We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Mr Anand and his family were very welcoming and helpful, even arranging a very useful professional contact, unprompted. The rooms were tasteful and clean, and we very much enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfasts. And the driver they contracted for the airport pick-up and drop-off was very good, we felt very safe with him. If ever I'm back in Kochi whether for work or leisure, I'll go back to the Homested Homestay.

Great rooms, breakfasts and wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts

We loved everything about homested! The welcome from Dev and his family,  the spotless and charming rooms, the fine dining breakfast, nothing was too much trouble.  Like staying at a 5 star hotel at homestead prices! They made brilliant suggestions about what to do in Cochin.  Lovely people,  lovely place.
