We stayed 2 nights in this accommodation. It was clean, comfortable and in a good location. It's good value for money. Remember to bring your own soap, shampoo and toilet paper, or you can buy them from the shops. The owners are friendly and helpful. We had nice coffee and breakfast at the property.

Good value for money

We had a great stay here with this lovely family who were so welcoming and friendly and very helpful to us. This is so conveniently situated and in a quiet area away from traffic noise but so close to attractions of Fort Kochin. Prices were good and we had a relaxed and very enjoyable stay here. I will definitely recommend to friends and family

| The Short |
In a great location for the ferry and local buses. The wife and daughter were extremely helpful however, the room was not clean and had lots of mosquitoes too.

The homestay is in a good location for the local ferry and buses on Fort Kochi as well as the waterfront.

The property can be difficult to find and is located at the end of the street on the right. When we rang the owner to ask for directions he couldn't help us and said that his wife would be in but as we could not find the property and did not have a contact for his wife, this was unhelpful. After a short while he stopped answering and wouldn't answer the phone again.

The room was fair size however, it was not clean as we had to clean dust off of all the surfaces and the floor had not been swept. The walls also had lots of marks on them and were in need of a repaint. Although we had booked a double room it was two single beds pushed together. The mattresses were not even the same height. The room also contained a lot of mosquitoes which the owner was aware of but, doesn't seem to put any measures in place to combat this. There was hot water and the AC worked well though.

Breakfast was lovely. The wife prepares something that is easier for westerners to eat in the morning and charged 100INR for 2 breakfasts each morning.

The wife and daughter were lovely and extremely helpful in talking us through which buses to get where. The owner did help us on the last day by checking that ferries were running due to a strike in Kochi.

Good Hosts. Unclean Rooms.

I enjoyed a lot and highly recomend this place. The owners are very nice, the room is big, comfortable and clean, the bathroom as well. The guesthouse is in a nice area and well mentained. Good quality sleep and towels :)

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in Jan 2019 and we could not fault any aspect of our time here. We stayed on the 1st upstairs floor and were very happy with our room - clean, tastefully decorated and even had a little balcony. The family who run Immanuel were so welcoming and were always on hand to help. They offer a traditional Keralan breakfast for a very reasonable price, and it is also possible to book activities through them. We booked the Kathakali dance show, which was certainly an experience. The homestay itself is located about a 7-10 minute walk away from the Fort Kochi Chinese fishing net area - very centrally located.

We would highly recommend Immanuel and if we ever come back to Kochi we will be sure to return.

Lovely family

We stayed here for one night and had a warm welcome. The family were lovely and we had a comfortable stay. They could improve by providing sheets and towels. We did ask for towels and they provided them but I prefer to have a towel available on arrival. The room was small but fine for one night. The fan was powerful and kept us cool enough overnight. The bathroom was clean and toilet paper was provided. The host was also very helpful with some visa problems we had so they definitely deserve 5* for service.

Kind warm family with friendly atmosphere and clean rooms

TripAdvisor hasn't led me wrong yet. Immanuel Homestay Fort Kochin had such great reviews I booked 1 night. Upon arriving an meeting owner an see property I booked a 2nd night. Very beautiful place I was made to feel at home immediately. I've been traveling Solo for almost 6 months so the feeling of family is important to me. You can stay anywhere but if your like me you prefer to spend your money at places that feel like home. 

P.s. I needed somethings sewn an when I left for the day they were waiting for me when I returned that night..... AWESOME!!!!

The reviews match up to expectations

We liked staying at Immanuel Home Stay. We were 3 friends on vacation in September 2017. Stayed 2 nights at the home-stay. the room was small and very basic but the bed was conformable and the bathroom was relevantly clean. No AC but there is a ceiling fan which was good enough for us. The Wifi was good and the owner is super nice! you can add breakfast (which his wife serves at their home) for 100 rupee. The room is also not pricey, if I remember correctly we payed 800 rupee total. 
The location is good, very close to the art center where they have the Katakhali performance every day and it's also close to Mattancherry. 
If you are looking for a nice, low budget place - I would recommend this home-stay.
