We stayed here only for a night.
    Small property with 3-4 cottages close to beach. About 10-20 mins of walk.
    Right next to backwater. We didnt find much mosquitos though. We had A/c and
    fan running so we were ok.
    Owner(Mr.Rathan) was vey helpful. Dropped us to beach in the evening. We cam back by walk.
    Next day morning again we went to beach and it was good. 
    
    Dinner was very good. Whole family loved sea food. 
    Breakfast was decent. 
    We tried catching the fish. Nothing was seen around so couldnt catch even one:)
    
    Room is ok. Not modern as seen in the pic. But good enough.

Small but decent property

Nice family managed little resort having 3 little houses at the logoon and good kitchen.
Since it is at the logoon, you will not miss the beach wich is 1km awy but not really recommendable due to missing sand bank.
We stayed with 6 friends for two nights and the family is very helpful for all you need, either managing to get a cols beer or washing the trousers, nothing was a problem.
The restaurant is good and on request - as we did - they serv the food closed to the lagoon with this great east sun feeling in the late afternoon.

Only I can say useless cheap owner only saving money no investment, cottage full of mosquitoes and lizard, bad food, no service, only owner Intrested on business, horrible bed, food only good location, avoid guys

Worst stay

We had lunch at this place on way to Cherai beach. The open pond ( probably they have fish in it too)  near  the restaurant and the resort tag looked inviting. The restaurant itself was a rather poor attempt to mix traditional with the modern - what with wooden and brass artifacts not blending quite well with what was otherwise a neat little place. They could do much better with a better garden and some landscaping. The food was just about OK and the price not too high. The staff were friendly and helpful too.  We had to wait a bit for our order to materialize and it was suggested that we take a look at the property of the resort next to restaurant. The rooms (cottages)  were facing the lagoon and with garden around it,  appeared to be interesting. But you need to look at the tariff to decide. There is a parking lot for a couple of vehicles. and the place is not far from the beach once you cross the lagoon.

The food is not bad but they could spruce up the place a bit

To tell you the truth. The Manager of this resort was nice, kind and helpful person. The food was average. The price he charged for the cottage was bit steep 3500 rupees a night, When it comes to have a shower could not get hot water. The only hot water I could get was from a tap and into a bucket to mix with cold water, From the bucket one could throw some warm water on to ones body with a small plastic can. I would not mind staying there again only if there is hot water in the shower.
