I have been at Digha for a family trip for 2 nights (13-15) Aug'22. I stayed at Room 201 (Quadruple Room). Room is really spacious but lacking in maintenance. By locales it's very convenient, calm and just beside SeaGull Hotel. It's located at Barrister colony. Beach is just a 3 mins walking distance. Even market is at a walking distance. Overall hotel is lacking in infrastructural maintenance. Staffs are very lazy but co-operative. Request Management to focus on the infrastructural maintenance part.

Lack of Infrastructural Maintenance

On the night of 5th August  we had the  worst hotel experience ever in our life  at Hotel Sea Coast ,Digha .We made a prior  room booking and  made  advance payment too as per Hotel norms .To our utter dismay we got a  room with floor  full  of  water seapage , AC not working and fan hardly functioning. After traveling by car for over 4 hours we couldn't change on freshen up ourselves.The service boy came and made some eye wash arrangement of making the AC working and told that is the maximum speed at which a fan can function. He mopped the floor and told a fancy story of floor being wet due to long hours of  AC  working to keep the room cool for our comfort. As no improvement was observed and our request of change of room was not attended , we simply decided to walk out by paying out the balance payment of the day through we spent only few hours in the hotel.Out of utter frustration ,anger and disappointment as we decided walk out of the hotel after paying 1 day rental  we found ourselves locked up inside the main gate.The reception guy who had been silent although the ordeal and never bothered to  consider our request of changing the room, turned up like a goon and asked to clear our 2 days rent and  offered us a substitute room which was never offered earlier.Reception guy ' behavior was rude and impolite and threatened us to pay out  2 days rent  and there after they would open up the lock The Manager over phone didn't help either.My husband's  heated argument with the hotel staff made me feel very insecured. The ugly situation, made me to convince  my husband to pay out the illegitimate dues and get out of the Hell...Though it got pretty late , still God was with us to help us get a hotel adjacent to us to Hotel Sea Coast who accommodated us though the official guest entry hours was long over....The unpleasant unpleasant experience made me feel this is not the Digha we had came numerous time before and and gave a classic example of how rude , impolite and non professional a Hotel can be where Customer satisfaction and business ethics was of least priority  ....

Worst Hotel Experience ever

Best part is the location, almost next to the beach. A small part of the sea was visible from our room. Service could have been better. Major issue is cleanliness of the room as well as washroom. Even we could spot small bugs on the bed. Otherwise, there was no disturbance, and stay was OK.

Average stay near Old Digha Beach

Hotel is good but the washrooms are not good at all .Food was good and the hotel is very near to the sea beach. But the workers are very greedy for tips.In total my stay was average. Rooms are claimed to be sea facing, but from all the rooms sea can not be watched very smoothly.

Someone else booked this hotel for us. We were four families and took five rooms. The food was excellent but the staffs were extremely unprofessional. They were nice and all but were not equipped to handle all sorts of travelers. The rooms were ok, but the bathroom was awful

Terrible trip

We regreat booking this hotel via MakeMyTrip for our family vacation. First of all we booked 3 AC rooms but we were given 2 AC and one non-AC. Not sure it was MakeMyTrip's issue or the hotel's. On asking for an upgrade for the non-AC room,we were given an AC room in the 1st floor but it turned out to be a nightmare to stay in that extra room.The room was very small compared to the rest of the 2 AC rooms. Moreover to make matters worse there were insects and worms crawling everywhere in the bathroom.The room smelt of fungus as if it was never cleaned. Somehow we managed to sleep but complained about it in the morning. The hotel staff changed the room but why was not a proper room given in the first place. The restaurant food is horrible hence do not order it. We ordered a plain daal for my child without any chilly but when it was served it was very spicy. Not sure why the hell did they take the order.The aloo bhaja served was attempted to be fried in cold oil hence we could not eat it at all.Our stay was completely spoiled. In one of the rooms, the commode shower was broken and was replaced after complaining hence it seems they do not maintain it at all. When we asked the room service to clean our room then they replied that they clean the room only in the morning and not after that. So they will sweep the floor only the next morning and the floor will be mopped only after checkout. So throughout the stay you need to be in a dirty room. The only good thing is the location.The beach is very near but for the fooding and lodging you should consider any other apart from this. Our family trip could have been better had we chosen some other hotel.

Ultimate waste of money

The hotel is situated near the end of a narrow lane in Old Digha but very near to the beach by foot. It is a safe, decent budget hotel about a Km from Old Digha market that can be reached by car across a winding narrow lane. Car parking is small. But the hotel is fairly big and clean with polite staff and reception. Housekeeping is great. Food average and simple. WiFi only inside Reception.

Hotel was good specially the location.1min walk and you will reach the beach road. Rooms are good. We stayed in 3rd floor and from the room we had a partial view of the sea. But restaurant not good. We had to wait for about 30mins to get our lunch and we need to request them (literally beg them) multiple times to take the order. Also the cost of food was very much on the higher side. So best option is to avoid the restaurant. Except restaurant the hotel was really nice to stay.
