I am writing this review for the future customers of tamarind ktdc hotel, East Nada, Guruvayoor  especially in the scenario of COVID-19. My son Rahul Menon, who  has traveled from DOHA to KOCHI on the way to his Native place Althara(10 KM from Guruvayoor).He had to stay in an authorized hotel near by which adhered to Covid Protocol for 2 days in order to proceed to his home due to some technical reasons. I contacted Tamarind, Guruvayoor and they arranged all the facilities for his stay,food &travel etc..The service was very good,staffs are very  helpful and co-operative,good food & appropriate location for pilgrims  those who visit guruvayoor temple. I recommend this hotel,who are seeking a best budget hotel for stay & food. at Guruvayoor.

3 star budget hotel @ Rs.1500/- per day

We found the breakfast to be very good. Service is also good. Enough parking for a few cars. Toilets are well kept. Masala dosa and idly vada were particularly tasty and yum. Seats are well maintained and property airy

Amazing food and good service 

KTDC Tamarind hotel is located in one of the major Pilgrim centre in Kerala. The famous temple at Guruvayur. Really very nice hotel near to Guruvayur Temple.Good point is they got 5 Bed rooms with good wifi facility. Good for perfect family.This property is very close to the Railway station and Bus stand.Special Thanks to Mr Surjith N Unnikrishnan(Manager) who handles this place with warm welcome.They got AC Deluxe double Bed also.The main thing is it is built on Kerala architectural style.Which is very unique as an example.This hotel got small Marriage Hall also.Food is really awesome.Service is also good. Thanks to Rahul also.Good car parking place.You need to stay this Hotel for awesome ambiance.

Budget Hotel!!!!!

Great place to stay in Guruvayur within budget. Property is easily accessible from the east entrance of the temple.
Most of the amenities for a budget hotel is there in place, Car parking, restaurant a decent conference hall. 
rooms are spacious and maintained well, Staffs are friendly and ready to help with a smile.
I would suggest others, as the rates are decent even for AC rooms as well. apt for family or even a small group of travelers. Please is build to resemble like an old illam (Traditional old style architecture house of kerala)

Great place to stay in Guruvayur within budget

This hotel is in the East Nada of Guruvayur Temple and is walkable distance from the temple. 
I've booked an AC Deluxe Room and an AC 5 Bedded Room via KTDC website. My family reached the hotel before me and the staff allowed them to check in. So they don't have to wait for me. 
Rooms were clean and well maintained. Food is available in their own restaurant next to the hotel. Staffs (both hotel and restaurant) were friendly and very helpful. 

Well Maintained

I stayed at this hotel in Feb 2017.It has such a welcoming ambiance with unusually clean entrance with a restaurant in the front. Meticulously clean room,comfortable bed
and prompt room service made my stay very pleasant .
I found the food healthy and catering to local taste and obviously value for money.
Hotel is very well situated in view of the Guruvaur temple visitors as well .Although the staff looked overworked it did not seem to affect the quality of their service.If I am in the area again this will be the choice for my stay-this is a no non-sense hotel
