I visited with my family of three people and booked two rooms. Both the rooms were very good.clean beautifully furnished and equipped with all the essentials. One of the best experiences of khajjiar. The hotel has really a royal view, ambiance and hospitality. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food is equally good alongwith the ways of serving. They serve fresh warm food and home like dessert. Hot water is available 24 hrs and they also provided blowers for keeping the room warm.It was our best decision to book the hotel. Sonu Sharma ji is the best host who made our visit very comfortable. They also arranged for paragliding which was another help from their side. The paragliding team picked us from the hotel itself and we didn't have to go anywhere and the team was equally helpful.If got another opportunity to visit the place I would like to stay at this hotel and visit Dalhousie and chamera from here only. 

One of the Best stays in chamba area

Good hotel to spend time in Khajjiar. Mountain View. Room upkeep average. Service good. Team good. Recommend staying night in Dalhousie rather than staying in Khajjiar. Khajjiar is good place to visit and take photo session. 

Overall experience 

Awesome view from hotel rooms. Enjoyed scenic beauty of Dhauladhar range and Local hills. Nice Location and Food. Good Hospitality, Very polite and co operative staff. Centrally located and accessible from all prominent tourist points of Khajjiar.

Relax and Rejuvenate yourself in the lap of nature! 
Royal Residency Khajjiar is located in a wild life sanctuary area, facing the Dhauladhar Ranges giving you a chance to see a bear in front of the gate if you are lucky enough!

Why should you stay here - 
1) The rooms are extremely spacious, well maintained and facing the ranges!
2) They serve an amazing variety of food spread even though 3 out of 4 of us are PURE JAIN we were spoilt for choices of dishes - This is not easy to get in the Mountains!
3) Warm, Helpful and Trustworthy staff!
4) They bake amazing stuff from Tutti Futti biscuits to brownies - in House!
5) Last the most important is the friendly owner who is  an amazing Host!

Why should you Not stay here -
I can't think of any reason except if you want to stay on a busy crowded street of Dalhousie!

Ever lasting Memories......

We stayed at RR for 3 nights. It was super cold in khajjiar. We couldn't wait to reach the hotel. Firstly.. they checked our temperature s and sanitised our hands.. also the luggage. Everyone wore masks. Made us feel safe... We were welcomed with the very needed hot tea and a warm smile.

It was evening and we ordered some mix pakodas. We sat in the gallery and enjoyed the view.

We were given heaters in the room which made the room cozy and comfortable. We ordered in since it was too cold to step outside. Food was delicious. We had no complaints.

The hotel has an in house bakery so we had fresh pastries and muffins each day.

Would definitely suggest staying here firstly for the location. Khajjiar is In the center of Dalhousie and chamba... And the famous khajjiar meadow is just 2 Kms from here. Its peaceful and calm..away from the hustle bustle of Dalhousie.

Special thanks to Vikram the owner who was always around trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Very comfortable

Booked the rooms of this hotel from goibibo completely hastle free. Premium rooms were exactly as shown in the pictures. Very spacious and luxurious and a very good deal for its price. Services and food of the room was also very good. Plus there's gaming center for kids which will keep them busy during evening and we have our own time. Some renovation work was in progress but that did not hamper our stay in any way. The view from the rooms were breath taking and also location of this hotel is so good peaceful and serene. Not like in dalhousie where there's rush all the time. Highly recommended.

Best value for money hotel.

If your plan to visit Dalhousie-Khajjiar then Best hotel is Royal Residency . I Visited in Dec 2018 30-31st & 1st Jan with my family. Very active front Desk for customer , Very helpfull & polite staff . Service always on-time .Food was very tasty . Location is excellent , through window you can take looks those snow capped mountain clearly .Very near to Khajjiar Lake & other snow points like Kalatop - Dainkund

Excellent Trip

We were hesitating to book a hotel in Khajjiar instead of Dalhousie. Turns out, this was a better choice (for us). 

The front desk, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious! Our booking included breakfast and dinner. This is the norm for the girls in this area since there are nearly no options at night. The breakfast is varied, sumptuous, and simply awesome. If done correctly, lunch can be skipped/supplemented by a small snack. The dinner is equally. With fresh bread/rotis etc, it finishes the day well.

The room had a good view, with bright sunlight streaming into the room from the windows. They are in the process of renovating and expanding, and I am sure this will turn out to be an excellent property.

Our trip was three days - reach early morning to Khajjiar from Pathankot cantt station, next day Dalhousie, and the next day visit Chanba and return to Pathankot Cantt. 

To conclude. I would like to reiterate the welcoming nature of the staff and the front desk, the awesome food and the daily view of the valley and mountains.

We made an excellent choice!

We stayed for 2 days at royal residency and had an amazing time. The owner, Vikram, really took care of us and made our stay memorable. So much so that we would love to stay at his hotel for a month in summers. The friendly staff and delicious food won our hearts. The clean town and the friendly people would want you to visit Khajjiar and royal residency time and again.  

Excellent stay

If your in Khajjiar and plan to stay there for the night this place is do-able. Nothing extra ordinary or even good. Food is nice, service is alright and the rooms are just tolerable. The room have chirped wooden floor which can hurt you though.
