One of the old property of Kalimpong but we'll maintained, clean, hygiened and excellent customer service

Food quality was good

Hotel premises is not maintained and it does not match with Garden reach

I stayed for 1 night only and I was not having that much of time to enjoy property

But, room was well maintained and I must say old is gold, as the old property competing modern hotels of peer group

A budget serene hotel amidst the hustle bustle of kalimpong. 5 minutes from the city centre yet,  amidst a peaceful garden with spacious room and good service with food. Highly recommended!  There is a cute small garden overlooking the hills where you can enjoy your evening tea! 

Recommended stay

The neat and clean hotel with all facilities. Manager of the hotel is very cooperative. Food are good but problem there is no lift so it is very painful to go basement by staircase for breakfast or dinner. Bathroom is neat and clean. The ambiance is very nice, neat and calm.

very good budget hotel

We went as part of a group booking planned by IRCTC. When we moved in; no welcome it was all chaos. Finally; they randomly assigned a room which was good for two but I had opted for triple sharing since I had two kids with me. Hotel Manager rearranged everything in the room to fit an additional bed. Now; the sofa chairs were gone. Horrible service. Food though was good. But don't ask where is Garden; there is none. There is a small space only for 4 people and no more than that.

Even when the group departed; hotel did not even serve/give water for the onward journey. Overall hotel staff and management need to know what Customer service is.

Choose rooms carefully else you might have an awful experience

Rooms are clean , food is good , staff is polite , property is secured and it is 15 mins walk from main market yet one can enjoy the walk 
Morning from the Garden of the property one can see Kanchenjunga peack and this is the biggest advantage.

One can easily spend one night there with this 

I was still disturbed because :

1)The internet was not functioning in the room even after complaining it was not worked upon 

2)Hotel doesn't provide complementary minral water (a Big surprise)and you don't have a Tea or Coffee machine 

3)Hotel doesn't have room heater though the atmosphere is very cold and other places in same region do provide it

4)In my room TV wasn't functioning because of some loose connection 

5) Breakfast was very very basic 

Looking at the advantages of the Hotel i mentioned above , attention of management on such small topics can surely make customer happy

Some improvements can avoid disappointment of the customer

At first glance, the hotel looks fine and the rooms are quite cozy however, the horrid experience started when I went to request the manager for an extra pillow since we were 3 people staying in a room. The manager was ignorant and rudely refused the service. I must mention that the kind of guests they accommodate at this place are unpleasant company and indecent, and we had to put up with this place as our travel agent had booked the place for our college excursion. Three men were stalking the female students since morning and even took pictures of us without our permission and when this was reported to the manager, he refused to budge or take action. He placidly asked us to 'forget' the incident. Soon an ugly encounter ensued between us and the manager and the criminals who threatened us and the manager still tried to defend them till our faculty members stepped in and tackled the issue. We had a train to catch and quickly left the place. Overall, the experience still boils my blood and the dismal services at the hotel left us disappointed.

A pathetic experience

I stayed in the room no. 213 in the new building. First of all the rooms in the new building facing the garden are the best. They give the view of the majestic Kanchanjungha. The network is very poor in this hotel (Wifi-connection). The food is very tasty and a winning strike. The ambience is very nice, calm, peaceful, just beautiful. The room I stayed in was comfortable, airy and had a full wall covered with window, you can see in the attached photographs. The house keeping is unprofessional. The room service guys were hard working and well behaved. I faced a lots of issues during my stay but all were almost taken care of. The hotel is near Kalimpong College, but it's not at all noisy. The hotel has a very nice location, its also near by DM Bungalow on one side and SDO Office on the other side. The market is a 15 minutes leisurely walk from the hotel. The sight-seeing spots are close to this place and charged a minimum Rs. 1200 for it which covered 7 spots in Kalimpong.

The hotel is kept clean and clear.
They have cottages too but not worth it at all.

I visited Garden reach on 27th june'18.I stayed in room 412.Nice room with good fittings and amenities.The staff were polite.Tasty food in the restaurant.Only the WiFi was an issue.Its about 15 minutes from the market.Overall a good experience and would definitely recommend it.
