We had booked our stay with Nature Stay a.k.a. Stay Apart fairly at the last minute and were skeptical as their rating on TripAdvisor was fairly low. However, even before we reached the property, we were provided with friendly responses to our queries by our hosts, Mr. Dinesh Chugh based in Delhi and Mr. Rohit Negi, the property manager based in Kasauli. When we reached the place, we were relieved as the property was very tastefully made one and had a good vibe to it. The property is located in a village named Dochi which is located 4-5 kilometers before the Kasauli Cantt. and you have to take a left from Kinnu Ghat to reach this place. I and my wife found the location of this property ideal, as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the town as well as very good for amateur trekkers who just would want to wander off into the woods. Their management did not create a fake vibe by playing loud music at night, which one of the leading resorts in their surrounding had done and were absolutely ruining the peace, for which tourists make a beeline to Kasauli in the first place. A special mention for their service staff, who were more than willing to help you with all your needs and requests.  The breakfast served was homely, yet extremely tasty and hearty. Mr. Negi also served us a plate of their rice pudding/kheer and that was on the house for us. Next time we go, we shall stay there for longer and perhaps book their cottages. If you expect corporate levels of service, look elsewhere. I don't reconcile with the low rating of this property and would tell all the future bookers to expect a nature based, lo-fi, hearty and hiils-like experience from this place and not corporate levels of service.

A quiet and calm experience in the hills of Kasauli

We were a large group of 4 families with kids in December 2018. The Christmas weekend was sooo cold. They arranged for extra logs for a longer bonfire that night. Great rooms, stunning views all around, and yummy food too. 
Of and two dogs add brownie points to the hotel!

Great staff made the stay fabulous

We stayed at Nature's Stay hotel, but not in their regular rooms. Our pick was Owl's Nest, which is a homestay operated by this hotel, within the same premises. Unfortunately, they don't mentioned explicitly that this homestay is a part of this hotel on their Airbnb listing. 

Own's Nest can be booked on Airbnb. The property is pet friendly. Their room service is not the best but if you are going to the mountains, expect an average service as life is comparatively difficult there. So many trips in the hilly region has taught me to be more tolerant to the seemingly lackadaisical attitude of hotel staff. The food presented by them was also mediocre. Stay away from their fried food if you are willing to order room service through them. The breakfast was decent. Electricity related issues are pertinent in this hotel. But when electricity is there, the hot water supply is reassuring enough to consider this homestay for a winter vacation. But the price is a expensive compared to what they offer.

The location is also pretty much average.

There are better options

If you are an early riser, you will get to see a beautiful sunrise and a view from the attic room, the only downside is, the rooms there are very close to each other, so if your neighbor is watching TV, you will get to know what he's watching, there is no lift, so make sure you are ready for the three story climb. the manager is a decent fellow, will guide you if you need something, the food is ok, and you might find it difficult to locate, but if you got the road right, it's easy.

Take the attic room

My close buddies once planned to meet and we all agreed to meet at delhi followed by a road trip to a nearby place. 
We all then dug out the world map 🤣 and agreed to visit kasauli 🏞️ Himachal Pradesh. We booked a 9 seater traveller 🚐, place to stay 🏘️ and then totally forgot the possibility of any other place that exists on the world map. In the month of August the temperature was on peak at delhi, we all reached and met at MY BAR 🍻 and departed for our final destination. The drives was so good, we took a stop at shiva dhaba Murthal where I was the odd person who ordered chowmein and rest of my friends ordered paranthaas our friend ChaCha ordered nothing but ate everything and then again took a stop for tea. It took 10 hrs to reach kasauli. We reached at Nature stay booked through airbnb. it was an awesome place to stay. The weather was awesome. We started to party at 11 and then slept at 4 am. The next day we got up at spent morning hrs at gazebo having snacks and tea, the mesmerizing beauty of mountins will be difficult to explain,the clouds were in front of our eyes, one moment the mountains are covered with the bedsheets of clouds, the other moment they were clean.Then we gossiped for hrs. At evening we went to visit Mall road aprrox 6 kms away ate some local snacks like bun samosa and gulab jamun at Narendra sweets. The weather was awesome we enjoyed at lot,stayed there for 2 days, didn't went anywhere because kasauli is a place where you need to go with your loved ones, stay there and relax,drain all you tensions there. The rain didnot stop for 2 days, we started our return journey at 11.30 Am and reached Delhi at 10.00 pm. If you have good friends and a lot of storiesof your college, go there and relax.

Sit back and relax

There are some pros and some cons. The view from the hotel is amazing and the support staff is very polite and helpful (shout out to Naveen). Unfortunately, the list of pros ends here. There is no Wifi or intercom as advertised. Some of the cottages are on the third floor and it may be difficult for the elderly to walk to the rooms. There is no restaurant and many things on the room service menu were not available. There was no one at the main desk until 9 in the morning. We could not sleep on the first night because on the first night another group of guests were drinking right outside our room and creating a lot of ruckus (including using bad language). We requested the hotel staff to intervene but to no avail. Hotel has many dogs which would keep on barking through the night. And the dogs kept us up on the second night. We finally decided to leave earlier than planned. The worst about the hotel is the approach road, which is non-existent. I wish they had honestly advertised that this place in the lap of nature, with no proper road access, feral dogs, average food and service, and none of the advertised amenities.

A very underwhelming experience

I booked Nature Stay Hotel in Kasauli for 3 days, we were 6 Couples with kids, every thing in this hotel is excellent. Rooms are very large in size as compare to other properties, Toilets are neat and clean and with all facilities provided.  Hotel is a height so weather was very pleasant. Room Service was also good. Restaurant food specially i will say is mind blowing , Great taste, and beyond all with very reasonable price, Terrace area where food is served is another attraction / plus point as we were 18-20 peoples and we enjoyed a lot there. Playing there in groups and enjoying Snacks and drinks in evening here doubled our fun. Staff here is very friendly and co-operative , Nice place to stay and enjoy the lovely weather here. Ample private parking space in hotel itself. I will recommend this property for your family stay.

Amazing Trip

Awesome experience at nature stay. If you really enjoy the beauty of nature this cool amd calm place is for you. Beautiful view from rooms. You will feel relaxed once you reach at natures stay.   Must go, you will love the place

NATURES STAY

The property is situated in an isolation, about 12 km away from the city market area. We were a group of 10 bike riders from Delhi and for us, this place turned out to be as great as expected. The buffet breakfast was good and hot. Rooms have geysers for hot water, room heaters are sufficient and top it all, the hotel manager Rohit Ji and his staff are very cooperative & efficient. One of their staff Pankaj was taking care of our needs and left no stone unturned in making our stay comfortable. Their terrace seating is scenic and they have a good seating area with tables and chair placed well. I stayed in their duplex cottage which, can sleep 04 people on two double beds. Keep it up guys, if we plan for Kasauli again, we'll certainly stay with you. I highly recommend this hotel.

As Awesome as Expected

We were 3 cpls and a kid, stayed here for 2 nights/3 days.

They had rooms/cottages and a villa. Food was 5/5. Location is excellent. Staff was courteous too.

This is a pet friendly place where you can bring in your pets. Crowd was mostly families, hardly any stags.

Highly recommended.
