We had booked a double room with Hotel Lakeside while we were in some other hotel in Khajuraho, in order to change, giving an advance of Rs 1K, in the month of February 2023. As there were some difficulties in leaving the present hotel, we had requested Hotel Lakeside to return the money of Rs. 1K which was given as an advance. Showing extremely good gesture Hotel Lakeside returned the money without deducting anything. Simply great to stay in such hotels !!

Good Gesture from Hotel Lakeside - Must be a good play to stay, whose management is so nice.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Lakeside. My actual plan was to stay for 2 nights but later I extended my stay to 7 nights, as I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of the place. It's located a stone's throw from the main UNESCO World Heritage Temples. One can have a breathtaking view of sunrise and sunset from the huge and spacious terrace of the hotel.The Owner is such a wonderful, friendly and hospitable person. He takes immense and great care of his guests. Thanks to him, I had this opportunity to learn and practise Yoga with him.The entire premises of the hotel is very clean. Rooms are airy and cozy. Since I stayed during winter, I had access to hot water round the clock which is a commendable thing.
I always enjoyed the morning tea provided by the management. The owner helped  a great deal in organising my trips to the countryside of town - especially the hike on Datla hill range and natural waterfalls.
To conclude my review, I can only say that the hospitality couldn't have been better in anyway. I highly recommend all the tourists and travellers to stay at Hotel Lakeside. It's definitely one-stop to unwind and relax.

Home Away from Home

It was a good hotel as co.pare to price. Hotel staff was very friendly in nature. Rooms and toilets are also clean. The view of lack from this hotel was excellent. The hotel was very near to western group of templesn also provide parking for our car. Overall hotel was very good that I expected in low price.

Hotel lakeside

DON'T GO THERE... Is all I can say. You'll get many hotels around the same cost. Goibibo showed us the pictures which were fake, based on the website pics and so I already complained. We had paid online but the moment we entered the hotel we realized where we landed. Much to our horror, we were shown our room, filthy bed, filthy sheets, rotten wall,..I went out and paid to zostel which is next to it.. came back to hotel, made excuse and left. Literally a nightmare
if you want cheap go to hotel harmony or any other hotel.. not this one

I wish to express my complete displeasure at the services and comforts rendered at Hotel Lake Side Khajuraho. If you guys keep listing such hotels/ dharamshala then I will not book from your website in future and also leave enough posts on the social sites to ensure that nobody else books from GoIbibo. 
When we book from your site, we expect that you would have verified the hotel. This was a shoddy dharamshala with no services to speak of. And if you cannot verify all the listed properties on your site then you must leave us with an option to cancel out immediately with no cancellation charges or partially, say after we are dissatisfied with the services with say the first day or stay etc. 
This listing is not a hotel, it is a house which was once converted to a dharamshala and then to fleece the customer they added some beds and tv and started calling it a hotel. Pathetic layout of the property. Even the auto drivers and all shopkeepers nearby were telling us that only those who are not aware land up renting this place. 
The hotel/dharamshala is very steeply priced. All other places of stay nearby were offering room for much less. The adjoining hotel with similar locale and lot more facilities were charging much less. This hotel has no service. There is a teenager boy who does not understand much of what is said, even in Hindi. There is no restaurant, not even water is served till you ask for it. Twice this teenager boy told us to climb down and fill our water bottles from the earthen pot lying downstairs when we requested for water. There has been no house keeping for any of the days of stay. 

The hotel owner is a cheat, he has listed a lot of things like orchid and ayurvedic massages etc which are all non-existent. He is regularly consuming alcohol in his so called reception. None of the rooms have security as you can enter from the common balcony. He is such a cheat, that he was trying to give us a room of so called lesser value despite having paid for the room worth at 1500/-. He was quoting the price on our voucher which was actually the price minus goIbibo discount. Then he was trying to charge us more for the third person for whom we had paid in advance while booking online. In short he was a complete cheat who cheated us in all respects. Didn’t even provide the third bed. 
The complete hotel has limited crockery and even those are either cracked or very old. The kind of Dharamshala he is running, I will never stay if I have a choice or will not pay more than Rs 100/- per night if I forced to stay. Yet the owner is cheating us of the our money and providing no service. 
This hotel owner has cheated us, but GoIbibo has to share the blame. Had it not been for goIbibo we wont have ever landed in such a mess.

Pathetic hotel, it is a poorly run Dharamshala and owner is a cheat.

I got the cheapest room in this hotel, no doubt.  But there are certain basic standards a hotel should upkeep, like cleanliness and functionality of toilet, availability of towel and again cleanliness of the room.

The moment i entered the room, it felt like the room was not used for ages. Cobwebs, dead insects, dusty floor and table.  The room is exactly like a place you never want to be in.

I had no choice to continue my stay since the payment for 2 nights has been made, but i requested for a room change. I was so glad i left this place.

The so called lake view from the balcony is nothing to shout about...its just a lake with some buffaloes roaming around.

The distance to the western temples were close, just as any hotels around.

Highly not recommended.
