The Staff is very courteous & helpful. The rooms....bed bathroom etc clean.
The food was very good too. The Chef personally took our orders as only he could converse in Hindi & English.
The Tea & Coffee we used to have from next door Tapriwala😄.
The drawback......limited options for Vegetarians.....Only manchurian was available.....Gobi & Mushroom with fried Rice.
At our request the Chef cooked for us.....Dal, Rice, Alu Fries & Papad. It was Yummy. 
For breakfast options....Appams with a Gravy or Omelette with Paratha or Roti.

No other food outlets are available nearby as it is a residential area consisting of Bungalows. Its a very friendly locality.

Overall a good experience.

We had gone to the restaurant at about 9 pm on 02 Apr 2022 while returning from malayatoor hill top church . An old man 70 years old , that's me , my wife , handicapped son, my daughter's husband and his mother . 

After the meals we waited about 15 minutes for the  bill. Nothing . No one . Receptionist cabin too is vacant . Then someone appeared . We said we can't wait any further. He said something like big crowd in the bar on the first floor . Another 20 minutes and no bill. We told him this is not acceptable , a little harsh ofcourse. 

He got angry . Four or five of his staff joined him . All of them except the small girl who served us food in the restaurant started shouting at us . 

Finally after about 40 minutes of finishing dinner we got the bill. It took another 10 minutes to return the change . They were just standing at the counter and discussing how to get the change , where from etc. . 

We had given to them a credit card for the payment. They took it upstairs and returned after another period of unimaginable delay with the excuse that some thing is wrong  .

Finally  we had to shout at them for the change. At this point they advanced menacingly towards us threatening us physically.  

Earlier also when we questioned the delay someone who looked like the manager had taken a threatening pose. 

After about an hour of finishing our meals we could finally get out unhurt from the hotel basically becoz we decided not to react to the violent moves of the hotel staff, out of fear ofcourse.

Hotel staff tried to attack us physically

A very good hotel on the way to malayatoor church. Has lift facility and swimming pool too. Good rooms and average service.  Road side hotel. With proper management and marketing i do see a very good potential for this hotel.

well maintained in total....professional staff,..rooms well decorated...food good taste....then only good hotel near to kalady..have a roof top pool that the main even price r not expensive.in all perfect ..

We were visit more than five time on there.such a beautiful residence is that.There room is very neat and clean.They have good customer care service.The room gives good views.we have spend two days on there.such a awesome day to me.

Awesome days

Recently on my visit to Malayatoor along with my family as part of a pilgrimage we had the opportunity to stay at this hotel. Just as any hotel I was expecting the same kind of approach and lot of talk and nothing to vouch for but this hotel really took words out of my mouth...Cozy and comfortable room I had booked the Classic room with 2 single beds... Air conditioner in perfect condition and all the amenities well arranged in perfect decor...the staff from the front desk till the cleaning person was also exemplary...also to be noted the welcome kit consisting of a body moisturiser and soap and shower gel was of good quality and standard which is very rare in most hotels... Hope to visit the hotel once again.. Keep up the good work...

Right Hotel.. Right budget...

Our room was on the 2nd floor. Very clean, airy and sufficiently-spaced for my wife and me. The view from the back-window was beautiful on that rainy day. The creepy
vines of black pepper on the trees behind the hotel gave a pinging for the past.  We were there to ascend the St.Thomas Kurisumala(mount of the holy cross), for the annual ritual on the eve of the New Sunday(1st Sunday after easter).Mr Pauly quickly checked us in on the 2nd of Apr '16, and advised to have lunch soon before the restaurant was closed. In the evening we set out from the hotel to the base of St. Thomas Kurisumala. It was approx 1.5 km away from the MR Hotel which is at Chumminy jn;almost equally distanced from St. Thomas church and the base of St. Thomas Kurisumala. We returned to the hotel at 10 pm and had our dinner at the restaurant.
Next day, after finishing our complimentary b/fast, attended the holy Eucharist at the 
St. Thomas church. After lunch from the hotel restaurant, we checked out at noon.
Mr. Pauly suggested us to visit Kappirikkadu Elephant taming camp and  Botanical garden on the way to Paniyeli Poru. Paniyeli Poru on the boulders of Periyar river 
is simply, if I borrow a phrase from Mr. George Bush Junior during the Gulf war,
is " shock and awe" (shocking and awesome). We found a large number of North Indian tourists lying in the pooled-cool-water, who came to visit the nearby Kalady
Sankaracharya Stoopam. 
We had a great time in Malayattoor: The stay in the  M/R Hotel, the food,and the visit to nearby tourist sites. Mr. Pauly is a young, bubbly, dynamic, very courteous person with how-can-I-help-you-attitude.An allrounder. The restaurant-hands Hisham and Anto are eager to please your palate with their Karimeen Pollichathu(Pearl Spot b-b-q'ed) Ayala Porichathu (Mackerel fry). In short, we had a great stay in the hotel. Of course, they don't have "Shark-fin soups", but they have Karimeens and such Kerala specialities, cooked to order.
