Superb awesome wonderful heart touching we had a wonderful family time there. Every person in the Taj was wonderful. Awesome fantabulous no words to say Taj is always better than the best. We will always see that we keep continuing relationship with Taj always. Thank you

Family trip to Green Cowway

My wife and I decided to celebrate my birthday at Taj Green Cove, this must be one of the worst decisions we've made this year (to date). We are Taj members, our family and us are old patrons of the chain. For the first time in our lives, we have actively discouraged our friends and family visiting this property. 

Arrival
Welcome drink not offered. Check in experience (we appreciate the early check in, hence the extra point) was sub-par. 

Service
We were not informed about "ANY" of the amenities of the property. The room was sub par at best, there was no guide with phone numbers (reception, restaurant etc). The staff was completely unaware of the reception phone numbers.

Room
We had multiple ants creep into the property after cleaning, the room was clearly left open during cleaning with no regard to ensure no ants would enter. We spent 30 minutes outside our room while someone quite literally "chased" around bugs.

A birthday experience gone awry. Disheartened and reconsidering Taj membership.

Room : Stayed in a partial sea view cottage on the first floor, which had a nice view of the lagoon cum sea from the private balcony. The room layout were good and amenities were what can you expect from any Taj Resort.

Resort: Lush green resort. Not so large as a typical beach resort - they just had 60 odd rooms - all in a cottage / Villa style. No building rooms as such.

Beachfront: Now they don't really have access to a beach. They have a long beachfront which houses multiple lawns and the seafood speciality restaurant. But between the lawn and the sea are rocks and the sea is not accesible. We did not miss the sea per se. But this is a point to be noted. They also offer a boat ride on the lagoon, which could be a hit or miss, since the lagoon is green and somewhat dirty. 

Food: We mostly had regional costal food - tried many of their dishes at Curries (Indian speciality restaurant) and Bait (seafood speciality restaurant). And everything was delicious - the grilled pearl spot fish with coastal marinade was extraordinary. Bait is a unique experience - rarely you have a restaurant which is right up there on the seaside. However, the cocktails both at Neera and Bait, were rather average.

Breakfast : Arranged in the pool side restaurant. Because of the limited rooms, it was never too crowded - which is awesome! This is where larger resorts suffer. The spread was by and large vegetarian, which was a little surprising. Food quality was high as usual, in a Taj.

Activities / Sunset : Evening Tea with live music, multiple sports and games could be the highlight of the experinece. Everyone, kids adults and seniors enjoyed it well along with watching the sun set over the sea.

Room Tip: Go for Partial Sea View rooms over the Garden rooms and try to get a foom on the first floor - the small delta in price is totally worth it. If you spend more, the pool villas and cliff villas are also there - the higher position gives a better sea view.

Lush green resort with lagoon and sea view, engaging sunset activities, and brilliant coastal food

Plus:
- Very Kerala property - lush greenery everywhere
- welcome drinks, free lagoon boat rides, high tea by the sea
- Staff were great - Siva at reception was very attentive (thanks Siva!). others did a good job of taking photos and helping us capture memories
- We had 3 rooms: 1 Cottage, 1 Deluxe Seaview; 1 Deluxe Plunge Pool room. 
if you can splurge, go for the deluxe plunge pool it is worth it! the rooms are large, having a private pool gave the option to jump in and out multiple times without having to traverse the property

Minus:
- Furniture needs an upgrade
- TV not working in one of the rooms
- Not great for elderly people - while there are buggy rides to take you around, still there are steps to climb to the rooms and even for breakfast (the alternative being taking the service elevator in a longer route)
- Breakfast options were okay comparatively limited to other Taj properties we have been to - filter coffee and tea stand was good but overall very poor service across all days we were there. maybe not enough staff.

Older Taj Property; Good Taj Service; but rooms could use an upgrade

Luxurious Hotel. Very Good rooms and excellent staff courtesy. There were many activities at evening time which my children enjoyed a lot. At the Bait Restaurant, Mr Mani was very courteous. Also the lady singer was well talented. Mr Shiva at reception too was very kind.

Very Good 

Awesome property. Well maintained. Great service. Excellent facilities. Good food too. We had a great time visiting the beach, a few temples and great sight seeing locations close to the hotel. Overall a top notch experience!

Taj Green Cover Kovalam

The hotel is nice, set in beautiful surroundings, offering a "buggy service " to take guests to their rooms as some can be a bit of a distance,  staff very friendly and so helpful.

We had a nice experience staying at the Taj Green Cove, although found the beverages and food a little over priced.

We arrived at the hotel at 1am only to find that there was no where to be able to get a beer, the bar had closed at 11pm and  unfortunately there wasn't a mini bar in the room, which I have would have expected in a hotel like this.

The manager Ravi, always made a point to mingle with the guests and address any issues or answer any questions, always very professional and friendly.

Anant was also very much like Ravi, always came over and chatted to the guests, a very friendly and professional young man, who, I'm sure will go far in this industry

Jasmine, who was on reception and also attended the " Sunset Beach" always went above and beyond to greet guests with her warm smile and made sure they had a good experience, she has so much potential and is an asset to the hotel.

The other person who always rallied around guests was the pool side attendant Vinoth, so, so helpful and thoughtful, set up the beds, came over several time to offer cold drinks while the guests sunbathed, such a nice young man.

Theses were just a few of a large team of staff that really shone through, unfortunately we didn't get to meet everyone behind the scenes, but can honestly say every member of staff we spoke to were really good, from front of desk, housekeeping, gardening as well as the kitchen staff that were always willing to go out of their way to make sure the guests had exactly what they wanted.

It was a good comfortable stay

We celebrated our first anniversary by spending three nights at Taj Kovalam, and it was an absolute dream come true! This beautiful property exceeded our expectations, and the service we received was exceptional. The staff members greeted us with warm smiles and were eager to share their knowledge of the area, including interesting historical facts and entertaining stories. Unfortunately, I misplaced the notes where I had jotted down the names of the staff who assisted us, but every single person who attended to our needs deserved our highest praise.

The property itself is designed to provide a rejuvenating experience that will nourish your soul. From the serene boat ride to the inviting pool, every aspect of Taj Kovalam was carefully crafted to provide a tranquil escape from the stresses of everyday life. The small fountains and lush greenery further added to the ambience, creating a peaceful environment that we will never forget.

Overall, our stay at Taj Kovalam was truly unforgettable, and we cannot wait to return in the future. The exceptional service and beautiful surroundings made our first-anniversary celebration truly special, and we highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious and rejuvenating escape.

You need to visit here!!

Loved the greenery surrounding this place, felt very tropical and special.  Enjoyed taking walks around the lake, beach and just the beautiful grounds.  The staff were very attentive, helpful and courteous.  However they might have an issue if you wear a full length swimsuit/burkini in their pool.
