I don't have words to explain the worst service offered during my visit there, few very basic necessities are also not maintained properly, buckets placed in the bathrooms are broken, tv&AC remote batteries are not changed and in poor condition, bathroom taps not functioning properly, when requesting for room to be changed it took 1 entire night from the day we checked in, big delay in all services, complimentary breakfast not provided property, staff members not responding properly other than SURYA who is been running for all customers request. Very poor management and administration

I was surprised to see the dilapidated condition of the giant resort and was dying to know what might have happened with it. You won't find any historical event on Google. So I went through a lot of older reviews of the visitors and I could kind of guess it.

If you go back to Tripadvisor reviews from 2017-18, you could guess that a previous owner probably sold the resort to OYO (must have gotten a life saviour deal!!!). The boutique shops in the resort had cleared their stock. And it happened usually what happens to a resort after a change boutique shops in the resort had cleared their stock. And it happened usually what happens to a resort after a change in ownership - DOWNGRADATION. The condition of the resort collapsed in a matter of months after this.
It is now "taken care" of by a family of 3 - 4 and probably another guy?!?.
The caretaker and his family stay right next to the reception counter inside a semi basement.

You will have to cross deserted boutique shops and unkempt statues to reach the stairway area. What used to be a exquisite swimming pool is now a mosquito breeding place. The luxury open restaurant next to it looked so sad with broken stairs to its way.

But the biggest surprise will be your rooms. They used to have card reading locks which have been disabled and replaced with the cheapest door locks and the small suitcase locks. It's so ridiculous it's funny. But hold on! The doors don't lock fully from the inside because THE CARD READING LOCKS HAVE BEEN DISABLED and the knob will rotate about 30 degrees. 

Come on, I won't tell you everything. You have to stay there to believe it. Oh by the way, the network is poor to non-existent. There's no wifi as well. There's no light on the way to the hotel or at the parking area. Kind of like the days from my grandfather's generations ignoring the modern day needs - security, communication and quality of service.

And definitely not recommended for married couples and families.

And like once my college professor told me, "If I score your answers above 1/5, then the toppers will get more than 5"

What was once a resort!

The rooms were neat and clean. Very big rooms and good balcony view. The location is also good, not so far from city. Breakfast provided were fine. The officials at the hotels were friendly and helpful.

Had a pleasant stay.

Resort property is good. Rooms are big and spacious. But overall property is poorly managed. Breakfast is just ok. Horrible dinner experience. Need to improve the overall resort infrastructure and food.

Stayed for 4 days

Guys trust me you will thank me if you dont stay at ths place. Useless property with no ameniteis, bed sheets full of holes and stains, broken furniture, smelly rooms, No proper room service. pathetic pathetic pathetic..

complimentry breakfast was also useless. you could see insects on sugar kept in bowl near tea.

1 star is just for the room size and location !! . Horrible experience. The room lock/key wasn't working properly. The rooms were next to halls where renovation was being done. Wonder why these rooms were given out for booking. Shabby maintenance. Dirty blankets provided in rooms. Food plates kept outside weren't removed for more than a day. Breakfast is just idle/vada/pongal. Tata Sky wasn't working. No towel rack provided in the rooms. My room did not have sofa or chair provided. Reception hotline is non existent.  Not sure if this was the issue only with the set of rooms near the pool. Even after requesting for change of rooms, the alternate rooms provided had some issue or the other. Don't fall for the pretty pics. The pics seem to be from earlier years when it seemed to be good.

Horrible experience

Rooms are decent, staff is courteous. Location wise it is close to the beach. Peaceful and lil off from the hustle bustle. Good for short trips, family and couple stays. Food is average though. A small pool and dining area is a value add!!! 

Nice and Cozy Place to Stay

Beautifully redone property in midst of Auroville.... We had a fantastic stay after two years again... Lovely pool with cashew grooves and amazing sea food which they have added recently make it a memorable lovely stay.... Recommended highly.... U will love it with friends and family

It's simply decorated with lots of statues and showpieces. All the buildings were coloured purple. Looks beautiful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It's situated in a nice location as well. There were few nice cafes and restaurants around it. One thing I didn't like is even if we fixed the auto rickshaw price from the hotel to bus station still they overcharged. Just an advice, try not to make profit in every way. We travellers really don't appreciate it. 

Purple All Over 

First,  Very very poor food. No proper parking facility.  None of the main door lock was working. It is a big no. No water bottles provided. If your trip is sight seeing of Pondicherry, then this not the right place to stay.
