Stayed for a night with family at the Hotel Golden Orchid in Lucknow. It's a small hotel with no parking on premises. We booked two rooms (room only basis) and by mistake at the time of booking 1 person per room was selected. Online change to two person was showing Rs 300/- for both rooms but due to some technical issue online change could not happen and they asked for Rs 1000/- instead and I had no option but to pay. The room was quote run down (see attached picture of TV with settop box precariously dangling) in the room. The bathroom was very small. There was a wedding in the hotel same night as we stayed and the guests were making lot of noise just outside our room and hotel authorities did not do anything about it. Overall a very unpleasant stay and would recommend it to be avoided if possible.

Bad stay in Lucknow

Stayed in this hotel for a night with family. Booked online. By mistake the booking was showing for one person in room. Although it was room only they demanded Rs 500/- per room extra whereas online it was showing Rs 150/- per room extra. Anyways paid Rs 1000/- as there was no choice. The person at receptionist was rude (to put it mildly). Rooms looked worn out and not at all in commensuration with room charges. The night we stayed there was a marriage function and the guests of that marriage function kept discussing and making loud noise almost the entire night just outside our room and we could barely sleep. See the photo of the TV in the room uploaded by me. We sent them an email in advance informing how to make the bill but they did not have the time to read the email. My advice would be to avoid tis hotel if possible.

Avoid if possible

The hotel is on a main road. The room and toilets are very clean and comfortable.
The reception staff are varied some are super efficient some are decent.
The ancillary staff like the watchman bell boy and room service staff are good.
The 4 rating is for two reasons 
1. The absence of an in house restaurant and bar. The have a decent room service menu though. The other reason could be that being a compact hotel does not justify a restaurant.
2. The second is tha absence of a railing to climb the stairs while entering the hotel.

Good place

Good place to stay if one wants to be closer  eateries, shopping etc. Clean toilet, spacious rooms with lot of options as per group size. Reasonable pricing, debit card payment options, (breakfast included) food, bisleri available on demand at nominal price. Over all, great place to stay. 

I have booked Golden Orchid through booking.com. They have arranged Airport pickup, transportation for 3 days. The staff are very friendly. This hotel is neat and clean. It has a restaurant also. Room service is also good. The location is in center of city nearer to bank atm service too.

Budget Family Hotel in Bhubhaneswar

I stayed here for a business trip  in Lucknow the location was not very difficult to find out but i guess they were renovating the hotel when i checked in so no name boards , complementary breakfast was OK not a very wide variety of option but sufficient enough, the room i was staying in was on the 2nd floor and i'm not sure whether there was a kitchen or not but there was always some banging noise fr the top of my room and i had hard time sleeping the hotel does not have an in house restaurant , overall for me it was a decent hotel as rooms were spacious and had all the toiletries

Good Budget hotel

I visited Lucknow with my friend from 29th Oct. to 2nd November.
We reached there at around 6.30am. On 29th. We were given early check in without any fuss.Sfaff were extremely curteous.
Room was reasonably clean & all the facilities promised were there.
Breakfast spread was quite good which also included boiled vegetables.
We had a nice comfortable stay.
Only suggestion is washroom at reception needs supervision
O recommend people to avail this place.

Hotel Golden Orchid kucknow

i got the room at a very low price and it was a great deal. The Hotel Staff was very professional , and well trained. My room was also very well maintained. Morning Buffet Breakfast was also upto the mark.

VALUE FOR MONEY

I stayed here for 2 days. There was no problem in finding the location, the neighbourhood was pretty decent and the hotel was on the main road. The staff was extremely courteous and polite. The rooms were huge with a tremendous floor area. A mini-refrigerator was provided although it didn’t contain anything! I would have given it a 5-star but for the fact that it did not have a functioning in-house restaurant (I was told that it is being renovated). Nevertheless, I do recommend this hotel for a short stay in Lucknow.
