Worst hotel. Cockroaches were running on the dining table. Very minimal  breakfast 
Buffet speads taste was also not that great.Refilling was not done.spoons was not clean. Foul smelling Beds. Air conditioners  with cigarettes smell. Hotel receptionist doesn't have basic sense.

Worst Hotel Experience Please dont bookand waste your money.

I have seen the hotel reviews its was okay . I am sharing my experiences now based on my stay.

Reservation :warm welome with night shift manager joe. Breakfast are good Idly , pongal, Milk based sweet with bread . Rooms are perfect for family fresh towel with all basic needs.

Nice place

Too expensive for what it offers. Specially service and amenities are extremely poor. Here is my experience: I booked and paid for 3 nights for 3 adults. On checkin they ask me to pay for extra mattress for 3rd person! In room, I see 2 dirty towels and stuff for 2 occupancy. After many followups, I get 3rd dirty towel! For any service requests you have to call atleast 4 times before it is attended. One night I come back, there is no electricity in room, they came to attend after 3 calls in 45 mins! The lock of the room was not locking properly, even after complaints one night I come back and find my room unlocked (security goes to hell). they seemed to have decent open parking but looked like they were renting it outside because if you come after 7 pm, it is always full and you have to park outside!

Extremely poor service, and high cost

Recently we stayed there in 3 rooms with family. The mattress in all rooms are worst in condition with smell. Bed sheet also stained.They are providing wet towels (may be used ) on arrival.
No hot water in bath room.Very very worst hotel in Madurai and waste of money with stress. please don't stay and recommend your friends even offer it for free.

Pathetic ...it sums it all... I was on a full south india trip and they cannot even compete with smallest hotels of remote places...They just dont have staff.....we sat for dinner and it took ages for them to serve rotis ...finally we got up without eating fully .....Breakfast again was stale and cold and no one to serve ...yes absolutely NO one.. and to top it all rooms had dampness , bath rooms were untidy and had bad watermarks....... forget about the price would not even recommend this hotel even for FREE.....

Pathetic

We stayed in the 5th floor of the hotel for 2 nights with 9 person and 4 rooms during 24th Dec 2018 to 26th dec 2018. The check in was easy and quick but the reception guys are not very sure about the meal plan. We had MAP and they were pretty confused. They are not very fluent in either English or Hindi so is the problem I guess.

Rooms were clean and spacious. The view of the lake from our two rooms are nice. They served dinner in the roof top restaurant and there was no Buffet. We had to order ourselves 1 hour prior and they served it. The service was not very professional. I found lack of communication between the staffs and they need a good manager to overcome the issue.

 The staffs are cordial and helpful despite the language problem they tried hard to satisfy us. Madurai is a very congested city but the location of this hotel is a bit away from the hustle-bustle of the city. Parking facility was good but our driver complained that there was no toilet facility for the drivers. This area need to be updated as most of the travelers having own car for their tours. 

Overall experience is very good.

COMFORTABLE STAY IN A UNPROFESSIONAL HOTEL

Decent Hotel, neat and clean rooms, polite staff. Good South and North Indian food. Best part was we got chapati's also on request, as it is difficult to get good chapati's in South India. Decent roof top place for Dinner. Buffet Break Fast was included in our package, so overall good experience.

Trip to Madurai, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari, Kovalam

Stayed for 3 nights during Dussehra time. Since we didn't pre booked, finding this hotel at 8 o'clock in the evening was pretty surprising. Rooms were pretty neat and tidy, so are the bathrooms. A bit small, but stuffed with small fridge, locker, water heater etc. Located just beside this huge lake, though not clearly visible from the rooms, but the rooftop restaurant have a great view in the evening. Location is serene, not heavily crowded.

A decent VMF hotel, nicely located

Stayed for 2 nights between 22nd to 24th July in SPK Hotel as Fortune Pandyan was sold out completely . I looked at the photographs in the booking app and went ahead . It was my worst stay ever in my life so far and for the high price paid for the stay which was not just worth . 

The reception and lobby did not have any air conditioning or lights when i checked in . I was given a room in the fourth floor with a view to the lake. The room was ok but it was dusty everywhere from the side desk , kettle .. Bed linen was absolutely shabby and did not look fresh . 

The room has a wet bathroom style so it becomes so messy after the shower . No tissue roll in the toilet. 

I had made the booking inclusive of breakfast which was supposed to be a buffet. But there was no buffet and when i walked in to the restaurant there was no one to take the order and serve. Waited for 10 minutes and i walked away and i did not even feel like asking at the front desk. 

Wifi was not working any where in the property . When i enquired at the reception i was told it will work only in mobile and not in laptop. But it did not work in mobile either.

The quality and profile of their service staff is worse than what you will find in a road side tea stall . All shabby wearing dirty uniforms and did not feel like even letting them in to the room for service . 

As i read in another review this hotel is not fit to be in this business and only for hosting shady people. 

The hotel does not deserve even one star ... Please avoid ...

DON'T EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GOING ANY WHERE TO THIS HOTEL

The hotel is located a few kilometers from the bustling district of the Sri Meenakshi temple. The very clean room has all the comforts you can expect from such an establishment. The large glass bay offers a very pleasant view of the lake, and its promenade, where the Indians come to exercise. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of the city is a great time to be calm in this bustling city.
