The place is not worth the money. Not sea facing as mentioned online. Poorly maintained room and no proper services. Food availability is very limited. And they themselves suggest to order food from outside. Apart from the private beach available along the property nothing else is worth the money paid for the room.

Poor maintenance and bad service. Not worth the money 👎

Silver sand resort is located very near to Mahabalipuram , the property is exactly located before Mamalla Beach resort. There are less than 15 rooms only , so it would make it a peaceful stay as there won't be too many people at a time in the resort. All rooms are hut type and size varies . We had taken two rooms which was opposite to each other with a good verandah space available between them . There is only one room of this type . I would recommend to ask for this room type if you are family of 4 - 6 and would take two rooms. Rooms were big enough . Better ventilation can be planned for the bathroom alone. 
Highlight of the resort is the swimming pool facing the sea   well maintained and the private beach (there would be people from neighboring properties ) but still it would still be your private space to enjoy in the beach. 
The activity area and playing area is not maintained well , some maintenance can be done in this case. Only vegetarian food is available in resort , the quality and quantity of food was very good , price was on  higher end , but still worth it. Considering Mamalla beach resort is only 2-3 mins if you walk through the beach,  you can plan for breakfast or other food there as well if you want to try some variety or you prefer to have non vegetarian. 

Overall staff service was also very good . Not sure why but the resort usually does not show up for booking in make my trip and others.  Will advise them to call them direct for booking

Peaceful stay near the beach

Very beautiful green calm beach 🏖 resort on Mahabalipuram Beach 🏖 well planned resort different types of cottages equipped with all amenities clean and comfortable rooms awesome Swimming pool just opposite Sea.. Testy food pleasant atmosphere helpful staff outdoor indoor games.. Nice place to stay in weekend

Pleasant stay at Mahabalipuram

Silversands is located just next to Golden Sun resort. The stay was very peaceful as the crowd is very limited. They hardly have 10 rooms and this means the crowd is less for such a place even if all rooms are full. The comfort of access to beach, swimming pool, game area, and small adventures like rope walking and rope ladders keeps everyone engaged and happy.

The rooms are quite big and very spacious as were the bathrooms. All were very clean as well. No complaints with respect to the facility.

We were 4 families of friends having a good time together and enjoyed every bit of time here. We had food mostly outside other than one time. The food served was very homely suitable of adults as well as kids. The fresh preparation was quite good and recommended. The south Indian items are little costly when compared to outside.

Overall, a good place for a weekend.

Peaceful - less number of rooms

Pros : room are clean and good , beach front ,
swimming pool is fine but small 

Cons : a)serves only veg food which is way expensive 
b)Only 1 restaurant option nearby ( Delhi dhabha) , outdoor activity area especially games one was not cleaned ,
c) from main road entrance  it’s almost 1 km inside which is difficult to walk with luggage 
d) No complementary water bottles ,everything is chargeable here

Not worth the money spent

My mother and I spent three days in one of the 'standard villas'. The room was lovely and spacious, with an amazing big hammam-style bathroom and an additional outdoors shower, which was a highlight. The quiet and clean beach is a 2min walk away, and their very simple restaurant right by the beach. The pool also has sea view and gets a lovely breeze. Definitely take advantage of the room service - Velu, one of the staff members, created some really beautiful and impressive towel sculptures for us. 
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Peaceful and enjoyable stay by the sea

I have stayed here couple of times. Once in Pool Villa, once in a normal villa. The biggest plus for this place is the location. A private beach and pretty good food. They cook food based on the order. A morning walk in a completely private beach is really great thing. Just the rooms are not in five star or even 3 star level. However not bad either. Also the swimming pool is good though just 4 feet max.

It is an all inclusive, so of course you expect a staff that is service orientated, but Charlie and his companions who lead the entertainment provide none stop opportunities to be involved with an ability to balance a no pressure tactic that serves without being overbearing. We had so much fun, from the pool Volleyball (Mexican rules of course) to the nightly entertainment where the participants in the show were guests themselves. There was always laughter and joy. Charlie was amazing in his ability to remember so many names and made us feel right at home and among friends and family. Most resorts offer the same amenities but the differentiation here is truly the staff. We have stayed at other resorts along the Cancun area and have found we enjoy ourselves best when the staff is engaged and service oriented. Charlie and his team exemplify those attributes each and every day! Apples - Silversands - Stands out because of the staff!
