It was a great place to stay.The rooms with the beach view are too beautiful. We can have a sunrise and sunset views. Very peaceful stay with the sounds of wave throughout the day. The hospitality and food they provide is excellent and you get what you want over a tap of yours fingers. 
Finally I can simply say it is a very good and simple place with the beach view.

Fun trip

The location of this lodge is phenomenal! It's located right on the most beautiful beach, Mandrem (which is very clean and calm). Their staff is great! Will take food and drinks right to the beach. They also have a wonderful terrace with an awesome view.

I loved the place!

I have stayed here twice and love the place ~ and the awesome food.
Lots of reviews complain about the thin walls (which are a common form of construction in this area) buty advice would be to get over your ego and stay in the concrete block behind. Both my rooms were of a good size with full length bathrooms. To be honest they weren't immaculate but this IS India, not Switzerland and it didn't bother me. What you do get, which for me was priceless is; a clear elevated view of the beach and the ocean. More than that you get only the sounds of nature. The ocean and the birds. No pipped music, no heavy bass booming away. 
My only disappointment is SMOKING in the twin level restaurant. People who sit at the front light up and the breeze from the beach blows smoke back to those eating. Solution? 
Make one level Non smoking 
Or
Better still, make the front two rows Non smoking and leave those who poison themselves to sit behind.
I'll be back as soon as I can.


Number 1 for peace and relaxation 

I was luckly enough to stay in a room in Cecilia and Robert's personal residence with a balcony overlooking the river, which was lovely. it is only a short distance from the beach and the actual Dolphin resport and Oasis bar & restuarant.

Lovely location

Arrived there in the morning the place doesn't look like the pictures. 
The room was dirty and not maintained. The bathroom was incredibly dirty and looked like it hadn't been been cleaned for a long while. 
When I decided to change hotels the guy in charge was very unpleasant and tried to rip us off. We already paid 2.000 rupees which was almost the same price we ended up paying at the Lazy Dog an awesome place with great service. 
The restaurant at Dolphin is not appealing at all it looks dirty and the food doesn't look reliable. 
Goa is a stunning relaxed place and the last thing you need or want is to be arguing with the guy from the hotel that wants to rip you off. 
The advise for Dolphin management is you have a place in a great location now you need to radically improve the conditions and specially the service. 

Not recommending the Dolphin at all

Not clean no good service. Not recommending it

Located directly on the wonderful but a bit too dirty beach this resort could be heaven. But the rooms are not  clean and quite neglected. In the bathroom you have  the feeling that only the sink gets a cleaning from time to time. The lid of the toilet seat had a thick brown stripe when  I arrived - I did not smell  on it, I just wiped it  off. The moskito net took me at least 1 h to repair all the wholes in it. 
When you go down the steps to the beach you find a heap of broken sunbeds and litter - not very romantic! One good thing is the rooftop restaurant, the indian food is good and the view is superb!

Fantastic location, but neglected and dirty

Set in a lovely location a small way up the hillside overlooking the sea, sit in tranquility marvelling at the scenery. As far as a restaurant/ bar is concerned it is much like the others. But this is the only one that can make a good pizza. The base was thin while light and tasty. The same with the naan bread. It's probably the same mixture but while others are flat and stodgy this isn't. Our other friends had other dishes and we're equally pleased. They've got something right and it's worth trying. Money has been spent on this place the tiles show that. It's easy to fall asleep and lose complete track of time here. The waiters don't hassle you either. This was the only shack for almost as far as the eye could see so it was a lucky find. It is accessible from the road but I wouldn't have a clue about that as we came from the beach. On the beach if you're walking there is an abundance of wildlife from large hermit crabs to Kites flying overhead. We went in January and the beach was almost deserted. The Dolphin Beach Resort was a very welcome and enjoyable stop off. 

Restaurant/ bar off the beach

We stayed at Dolphin while in Goa and would not recommend it. Although the location is great- quiet beach near Ashiyana yoga- the cottages were overpriced, dirty- there were mouse droppings in the cupboards-  and very noisy. Beds were not comfortable and bedding inadequate. We switched cabins because one was like being in the same room with kitchen staff next door. If they cleaned up their act this could be a good place but as it is I would avoid it.
