Excellent place to visit with family and friends. Efficient staff, delicious food and a beautiful property. Pet friendly resort with caring staff, all requests were attended to effectively. The property is well maintained and has a beautiful view of the lake which adds to the serenity.

A big size room with plenty of windows, light and fresh air. A good size washroom. The property is in the back and beyond of nowhere! And that is the quant bit. Totally safe. A superb view of Sattal boating area, and the lakes. A one km trek to the lake or else take their jeep.

The stay is better that what the photos assure! Go there blindly. Also a kids paradise!

Located at a height of 5000 ft, with uplifting views of the mountains & Sat-Tal lake, spacious rooms, it proved a very relaxing, cosy,  & comfortable stay for my wife & I, both senior citizens. The owner Mrs Usha Upendra has an eye for detail and the property is done up & maintained very thoughtfully and meticulously. Food is very good and surprisingly not heavy on one's tummy. We would highly recommend using this property as one's base and making day trips to Bhimtal, Naukuchiyatal, and even Nainital if one is keen on that.

A charming, boutique property, if you are looking for relaxation & comfort

Had a delightful stay at Sattal Forest Resort thanks to the owners who took personal interest in guest care. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, the resort offers perfect escape from daily chaos. Impeccably maintained, complemented by lush greenery and variety of flowers. Culinary experience was a highlight too! Each and every meal had a homely feeling to it. Also, impressive range of indoor activities, you actually don't feel need to go out. In essence, very rejuvenating.

Perfect blend of comfort and tranquility

Good stay n comfortable . Awesome view and stay was good . Hv been for short time but felt rechrged and good ppace within short distance of 1 hr from kathgodam station . Can be said as hidden gem of hills . Don’t expect too much luxury but true nature and calm place

This was probably my 6th visit and the first after covid to Sattal forest resort. 
The place has always been my foremost choice for a complete getaway in uttarakhand but this time it was a pleasant surprise to experience a new tastefully renovated look with most thoughtful additions in services, facilities and infrastructure which I feel has elevated this most beautifully located  boutique getaway destination to the next level. 
Friendly welcoming staff with the a smile always on their face and trademark great food recipes has always been no match.

We recently went on an official offsite to Sattal Forest Resort upon a friend's recommendation.  Since I was responsible for organizing it and was doing it for the first time, I was a little unsure about the property and its services.  However, my experience right from booking the place to the end was very pleasant.  The owner Mrs. Usha Upendra is very friendly, accommodating and personally ensured that we all had what we needed.  The property is very well managed by her and her entire staff  which is very polite, hospitable and efficient.  The food was simple and just like home cooked food.  None of us had any upset stomachs or any other food related issues.  Another big plus is that the rooms overlook the Sattal lake and is surrounded by lush greenery on all sides.  It is very peaceful and you get to enjoy nature in all its glory.  The lake is barely 25-30 minutes walk from the property.  All in all I would highly recommend it.


Great place, amazing hospitality and service

Went for a 4 day quick getaway alongwith our cocker. Had a wonderful time with great views, excellent service, home cooked delicious food and long walks

The staff was super helpful. Ever ready to make us and our dog comfortable. 

Must do are the walks in the adjoining forest. Although the walk down to the lake was a slight disappointment.

Long walks with great food

Great location and the hotel made for a very nice stay. Located in the hills of Saaral, the hotel is surrounded by mountains and relaxing greenery. The owners took a lot of care in ensuring that our stay was unforgettable and enjoyable. 10/10 will visit again!
