The location of this beautiful hotel is perfect if you  want to experience the magic of nature ! Tucked between the mighty mountains covered with a carpet of pine trees on one side and the gushing river of Sind on the other side, the place is gorgeous ! This couple with a very  friendly and kind staff, made our stay a beautiful experience !

Wonderful stay at Villa Himalaya , Sonmarg

We stayed there for a night, My only disappointment is that this Hotel Is 16km away from Sonmarg, Booked this Hotel by mistake considering that it is located in Sonmarg, Barring this the Hotel was quite nice.

1. Hotel has decent room size and accessories and room quality was outstanding and fitted with centralised heating
2. Bathrooms were very good and accessories were high ended.
3. Hotel is located just next to a river which gives a very good view.
4. Food was good but bit on the expensive side.
5. There is nothing to explore around near the Hotel so u have to confine yourself to the Hotel.
6. My Room was having a balcony and it was quite relaxing sitting there.
7. Hotel Staff was good and courteous.

Nice Hoel But its 16 Km away from Sonmarg

The Villa Himalaya hotel, located on the riverside near Kullan, is an excellent place to stay for those who are looking to visit Sonamarg.

We stayed on the first floor in a balcony room facing the river and the sunrise-facing snow-capped mountains. The room is medium-sized and just sufficient for a family of 2 + 1 child. The washrooms are good and have good quality soaps/gels/lotions . The only problem is that the instant geyser does not provide a regular flow of hot water, and we have to continuously adjust the shower faucet.

The hotel restaurant provides excellent quality meals, and we recommend eating there. They also organize bonfires at night. We tried their Kashmiri Wazwan cuisine and barbecue dinner and thoroughly enjoyed those. However, the cherry on the cake was the picnic lunch which they organized for us away from the hotel on the riverside, which was one of the highlights of our Kashmir trip, and we strongly recommend each and every guest to try this experience.

Best riverside hotel near Sonamarg

Firstly if we are talking about service, it comes into play due to lack of proactiveness. Staff here is very good but not proactive. Lot of things in room are bought in when asked but not checked and ensured before you check in. The entire staff leaves the hotel deserted at night. From electricity failures to no hot water in rooms, everything is left to God. If you have any sickness or contract small disorders when in Kashmir, you should strictly avoid. I am in this villa with the phone bell at reception continuously ringing since 430am with nobody to attend at the reception. If you want to experience something a makeshift change please visit this place else avoid. Don't come here, it's very bad. Yes, food and staff till they are available are good but after that you are on your own

Excellent boutique hotel around 12km before Sonmarg. It is just besire a stream and gives a good feeling. Very quite and pristine with good food and courteous staff. The rooms are spacious and clean and hotel lobby is clean too. Enough parking space for car.

One of the nicest boutique hotels we have stayed in. Tastefully decorated with all the creature comforts. The location is brilliant- on the banks of the Sindh river and the mountains around-  serenity and peace! Warm and welcoming staff and delicious home cooked style food. My husband and I are vegetarian,and we had some delicious spread at breakfast and also an amazing kashmiri food dinner. Would recommend strongly!

Location is top notch, stream and mountain side. Clean well maintained property. Excellent hospitality, staff is always there to attend with care. Special shout out to Adil Sajad and Mahender chef. Memorable trip. Thanks.

Excellent property and hospitality

The hotel is situated amidst the hills n has a river flowing along its sides . Location is perfect with very helpful staff  n delicious food.Highly recomended place to stay with family as well as friends

Amazing place with great staff n food like home

I visited with my family at this hotel on dated 30th of June 2023. My experience at this hotel was excellent as this hotel is at a perfect location giving river view. The rooms were excellent, the food quality was also very good. The staff was so humble and cooperative. We were stuck in a jam at Sonamarg for 4 to 5 hrs at night and reached hotel at 12:15 am ( night). But still the hotel staff provided good quality hot food. I appreciate the cooperation of Mr. Sajjad who helped a lot. Hospitality provided by the hotel was excellent. Even, we got a chance to meet the owner of Hotel who was also very humble and nice personality. I recommend this hotel for stay.
