A laid back average lodge. The rooms look run down. The dining area looks tired. Vegetarian Food is extremely average. No taste at all. The resort managing staff are not guest focused. They can do much better. Carry your own empty glasses because they charge you for using their glasses. This lodge can be avoided if possible.

Very average lodge

What a find! This stay was the last leg & highlight of our Pench Kanha Bandhavgarh trip. Was tossing between Taj & Pugdundee at Bgarh, and then ended up booking this after some recommendation & decent TA reviews. 

Beautiful property with well maintained lawns. Lovely spacious room. Outside sitting at front & back. Large indoor bathroom & outdoor open shower. The entire property is really green grand & beautiful. Decent mobile network & wifi available.

Tala gate was 10min away. Other gates were 20min away. Jabalpur airport is 3.5hr away. 

Booked our safari with them & they provided their jeep & driver Mukesh who was driver cum guide cum naturalist cum all rounder. He was outstanding & cheerful & energetic. He made sure we went around every corner to trace a tiger. Highly recommend him to elevate safari experience. 

Food & restaurant staff were superb. Mukesh from restaurant ensured superior dinning experience.  Hi-tea set up was also lovely. Housekeeping was efficient. Entire staff & service were outstanding. GM Vijay & his team run this place efficiently & are around to assist with everything required. 

We had a memorable stay. Everything was fabulous. Room, food, service, staff all of it. Look no further if you are planning Bandhavgarh. Excellent by all means.

Excellent .. Exceeded expectation ..

We just returned from a 13 day tiger safari in India and this is one of the places we stayed. It was lovely. The only complaint is that it was outdated. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The safari was awesome. The dining room was like a British lodge and the grounds were beautiful. We loved it,

Beautiful and Vintage Safari Lodge

This was chosen by Titan Tours as part of the Wild India Tour - the location is delightful...so quiet. No sounds except for nature which you are surrounded by.  The room (bungalow) itself was amazing.  Everything was absolutely perfect - and the outdoor shower was a perfect end to the day when returning from a safari.  
The staff were all fantastic.  Welcoming / friendly and always attentive.  The food again was beautifully presented and great variety.  You could see that a lot of care had gone into the preparation.  We had our breakfast out in the jungle - this again was prepared by the staff for the guide / driver of the jeeps to present later in the morning.  They had thought of everything.  A truly wonderful experience and one that I would happily repeat time and again - To all the staff at Bandhav Vilas - thank you!

A perfect stay.

What a wonderful place , I loved this place so much. The staff were so friendly, the food including the safari breakfast was always really good and my room was amazing. I so loved the outdoor shower attached to my bathroom in an enclosed courtyard. The sitting area looking onto a mini jungle was such a relaxing refuge after exciting game drives. I had two massages  during my stay, they were really good and so calming after bumpy jeep rides. Could easily stay here for a lot longer. 
My only issue was the gaps around the doors in bedroom, it would be good if rubber seals could plug the gaps as my first night I had a lot of bugs on my bed. I know it’s only to be expected in this environment but after that first night and a lot of spraying mozzie fluid it didn’t happen again.

Beautiful place

Wonderful stay for 3 nights. We booked 4 safaris and were fortunate to see a tiger on the second. After hot and dusty jeep rides through the jungle it was wonderful to return to Bandhav Villas. The manager and staff are so helpful and kind, up early to make hot drinks prior to the Safari and ready to welcome you back with cold drinks and towels. The rooms are large with private veranda and courtyard. Everything is very clean, the bed is comfortable and there’s plenty of hot water. The meals were a delight - very tasty and a mix of Indian and Western, so there’s something for everyone. Highly recommend

The villas are so spacious.  I had both an inside and outside shower.  You wake up with so many birds singing away on this plush property.  The food was very good, and the staff was second to none!  Definitely my choice if I'm lucky enough to return to the area!

Perfect Stay!

Quite a nice setting and small cottage rooms but I've been in better resorts.  As mentioned by others, some of the cottages are quite far from reception which is not good to be walking back and forth in the dark on your own.  I also couldn't get hot water and had many insect visitors throughout my stay.  Similar resorts I've been in don't have these problems.  It was also very cold with no heater provided.  Food was not to my taste so they did chicken and mashed potato for me every night!  I found it quite boring here as very few facilities and had to make use of their library to pass the time - I finished a whole book I had so much spare time.  Staff also not that helpful or visible.  I had to hang around to find someone to ask when the next morning game drive was for pick up.  Not a great experience overall.

Only ok

A truly serene and beautiful resort in a secluded area next to the Bandhavgarh National Park. The overall ambience is calm, understated and aesthetically very pleasing for the senses. The plethora of trees and plants on the property make it particularly peaceful. The dining room and the multiple common areas are spacious and airy. The rooms are exceptionally large and well laid out, with massive bathrooms, open-air shower areas, and lovely verandas where you can relax in the early mornings or evenings. Local indigenous artworks on the walls are soothing too. Even though the villas come in pairs, you feel completely secluded and on your own, with no disturbances (except for an occasional langur!). Every member of the staff is extremely well behaved and very helpful, with a genuine eagerness to make your stay as comfortable as possible. 

We took the all-inclusive American plan, which is what we suggest you do—since there are no places to eat, etc., around; you’re really at the edge of a forest. The food was fine, not necessarily memorable. But we have no reason to complain—all the more so because the cook took particular care by cooking properly spicy Indian food specially for us among a large contingent of Western tourists who could only eat unspicy dishes! The manager was extra helpful in booking jungle safaris for us, even though we had booked them quite late. The driver who took us on our safaris (named Ballu) was wonderful and hugely experienced in the jungle. We recommend that you ask for Ballu specifically. The resort’s pool is also clean and rewarding, although on weekends it can get pretty crowded. There’s a spa too, with a friendly spa manager offering discounted rates on weekends; but we did not avail of this offer. The car we booked through the resort to return to Jabalpur was in exceptionally good condition, making our journey truly comfortable. 

In comparison with other staying options at Bandhavgarh, Bandhav Vilas is your best bet. I strongly recommend it! 

Tip: If you're to spot tigers in the national park, April is the best time. But book well ahead, at least three months in advance. And book your safaris immediately through the resort; they sell out fast since the number of vehicles allowed in the park is limited.
