Rooms and facilities are average, but dealing at reception is terrible. Even after giving advance payment for two valley view rooms we were initially only given one with view. During checkout we had made the entire payment and we were on our way back. After some time the owner called us and asked for the bank statement of the payment, which we shared. He called us many times and we provided all the proof that we had made the payment but he said that due to some issues in his bank account he had not recieved the payment.  He called many times and asked if the money had been credited back into our account. After checking with our bank, we found that the money had been debited from our account but not credited back. After all this, we were surprised and shocked to see that the owner had filed a police complaint against us and we were stopped at the police checkpost and had to go to the police station. This was a very shocking and eye opening experience. Police found the complaint is baseless. And next morning he messaged us that he had received the payment, without the slightest feeling of guilt and remorse.

We visited Hotel Trinetra Resorts, Patnitop for 2 Nights and 3 days in Delux category room from 12-14 Dec'23.
Hotel location is good, peaceful, easy to reach from any point, middle of the green orchid trees of Devdar. It is very near to all main activity points like Nathatop, Children's park, Sanasar Lake and also near to Naag temple.
Rooms are cozy, neat and clean. They provide heaters in room.
Staff is very courteous. If we want anything they never said 'NO'.
Food is amazing in the Hotel. They have variety of things in VEG and NON-VEG.
View from balcony is very relaxing and soothing to eyes.
Everything was amazing whether it is food, ambience, courteous staff, location etc.

Good Hotel to stay in Patnitop

Hotel strategicaly located. Good valley and mountain view from room balconies. Ample parking. Drivers dormitory. Food - good. Irony- Maintenance is missing.  Housekeeping is obscure. Scanty- staff that too inexperinced. All services as per their timings- room service- hot- water etc. Hospitality sector  professionalism badly needed. Dreamed turned sour..

Dream turned sour.

Room service is very slow and bad. After making call for room service they too almost hour to respond. Room cleaning is not done in full day even you give keys to reception in morning and hwen you came back in evening the room is as it is in morning messy and stincy. They also not respond to complain. Not suggested at all...

Not recommended

Here are some points
-we booked hotel for 2 days from booking.com, the hotel representative outright denied honouring that booking just before a day
-after lot of hassle we got 1 day booking on paying half amount upfront to that representative who claimed to be manager but when we reached hotel, it seems he was just middleman and hotel has many such people.
-we stayed in economy rooms that appear to be never cleaned at all. Dust has accummulated on furniture, bedding was dirty and the room smelled. Looked like some shabby guest house rather than  3 star hotel.
-Avoid at all costs, it's a health hazard
-No insulation from corridor noise, I couldn't sleep at all
-Only saving grace were it's breakfast that was good

Memorable Stay

So we booked this hotel online by paying an advance amount of 7k for 2 nights . Enroute this hotel from Katra , there were landslides due to which the driver refused to continue with the journey since it would amount to a minimum wait time of 9 hours or more to reach the destination . Even if we take the risk, there was no guarantee for the no of hours that we may have to wait and since we had a return flight after 2 days , we decided to cancel the trip. 
The hotel refused to even partially refund our money for both the days even though we were constantly in touch with the hotel apprising them of our circumstance . 
My advice would be to book hotels for which pre payment is not necessary since Patnitop is a place which is quite vulnerable to landslides . Also , the cab fare from Jammu / Katra to Patnitop is 3k . So it’s not possible to rebook another cab if one driver refuses to take you . I wish the hotel could have been more considerate to atleast give us some refund as these were circumstances beyond our control and we had every intention to visit the place.

everything is perfect. beautiful views, great service, good food, clean and hygienic rooms. Room service available. balcony view is beyond words. I am so impressed by the hotel staff.. best to cover maximum sightseeing as per your choice with comfort and easiness.

Rooms ficilites ovetstanding

At the first sight the hotel looked filthy. We reached the hotel at 2.40 and the guy said room is not ready. We went for lunch and finally got the room at 4 PM. The guy at the reception was extremely rude and should have been an don than on the front desk. This hotel will rate as one of the dirtiest hotels I have visited. The food was also horrible.When requested for an iron they said the hotel doesn’t have one. Highly not recommend. 

Bad Experience!!!

Stayed here for one night we asked for a cheap room as we are on a budget was told they would knock us 500 of rent (but realised that this was the usual price for this time of year ) had to pay up front which found bizzare not had to do before. We were offered a room in basement (below resturant ) refused as maybe noisy. Given a room on top floor where for most of time in hotel horrendous noise above us (maybe the water system) and then we had a group of younger men in rooms next to us partying until 1am ...so all in all not a great experience with not a lot of sleep ...not good when we have a 7 hour journey in front of us. Daytime reception staff not that friendly .  Night time reception staff nice. Need to be a bit more welcoming to 'foreign' tourists but this is just my opinion.  Location  is great tho with fantastic views
