The location is at some distance from the main road and only one car, at a time, can pass through the narrow road leading up to the entrance. We had made a reservation through an online portal but on presenting it to the reception, they were less than willing to entertain it. They gave in after some persuasion and finally we got the room. It was raining outside and water was seeping through the walls ensuring dampness. The sink was missing and the bathroom had a horrible stench. All meals including breakfast were chargeable and the taste or variety was just average. A disaster of a stay.

Worst hotel stay ever

no ac, no door closer in bathrooms, no hot water, no room service, poor location, worst food, useless staff, I have booked for 3 nights but it was not possible to stay for a single night so 1st night have no option next day I wanted to checkout but manager don't even want to talk and went in his cabin and locked from inside. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE.

WORST HOTEL IN MY LIFE

I had trip to port blair in last month jan 2014 i stayed in hari international according to my staying this hotel and behaviour staff was very imprasive and rooms were neatly maintained by the house keeping team ,staffs were polaitly and humbly behaved with us and food quality was ver excellent .timly maintain the food and beverage team and travel arrangement are very excellent,nice experience to stay in this hotel.

This hotel is located in Bathu Basti area ( close to the airport, but in the opposite  direction to city centre). This is not on the main road- a small lane leads to the hotel inside.
The room has an ac and a phone. It is about 8x 12 feet in size. There is no geyser or toilet paper. You request hot water downstairs. The AC has a duct connected to it that drips water, and the duct is hung over the bathroom door so that the water drips inside the bathroom.

Some of the rooms have a rectangular opening at the top ( perhaps made to fit an ac ). and the room I took had this problem.  A false ceiling has been built outside, so this opening is partly above the false ceiling and partly below. I found this very shady in terms of security. Anyone could have entered or used a stick to pull things out of the room. The outside lights, noise also come in. 

A similar hole exists in the bathroom ( a privacy issue)
Dinner was 150 for non veg ( egg curry + roti, rice, dal,  bhindi masala  and aloo gobi) and food was ok. 
Would not pay 950 for this place- when light house residency was available for 1200 at the heart of town.
I paid 950 to the travel agent , but  it could be cheaper.
