The first thing you expect when you go to a wild life park is that the wild life safari experience you will get would be great. Sadly, it’s not the case with Camp Utsav.

 I have been to multiple wild life parks and at each and every place the resort makes sure that the experience you get on a wild life safari is exceptional.

 Even though it is mentioned on their website “Utsav Camp's resident naturalists and rangers will curate the best routes for your safari based on your interests and realtime tracking and sightings of large cats and other animals.”, it is clearly not the case. 
No naturalist curated any kind of special route for us, in fact they did not even care. Also, there is no coordination amongst different teams in their staff.

Following is the outline of my experience -

1. My travel dates were checkin on 29th March 24 and checkout on 31st March 24

2. Booked personal jeep safari for 30th March 24 and made payment for it of Rs.12,390 on 31st Jan 2024 itself (Rs.8500 is the govt fee for private jeep safari. Resort charged us extra for better experience and services)

3. On 29th March evening upon asking multiple times, I was told by their GM Mr. Joseph to reach the reception at 6 am - first we would have tea and then depart for the safari from there

4. As advised, we reached the reception at sharp 6, only to discover that there was no staff present there. We looked for the staff and finally asked the guard at the gate to call someone.

5. Naturalists were nowhere to be seen till 6:15 am.

6. There was no tea etc at 6 am, it came late (which I can discount as it’s not very important)

7. Finally the driver came late and we reached the safari gate very late. 

8. There was no guide assigned to us. Normally such resorts send a naturalist from their team to accompany the guest as well to ensure a good experience, which they did not.  

9. The driver just took us around the forest without really trying to track any tiger or leopard and brought us out of the park much before time

10. There was a basket of some food and chai which the resort had kept for us in the jeep. Neither the staff nor the driver care to inform us of the same. It was when I noticed, I asked him if they had kept water as my daughter (12 yrs) was very thirsty. He then took a bottle of water out from the basket and handed it over to us. This was a sparkling water bottle and there was only 1. We stayed thirsty throughout the safari.

11. When we reached back, since nobody cared to even come and ask how our safari was,  I personally called their GM Mr. Joseph and told him everything. He told me to give him 30 minutes of time and he would get back which he never did.

12. At checkout I noticed that jeep safari bill was added again in my bill and I requested the person who prepared the bill as I had already paid for it. He called 2-3 different people and confirmed and then removed that amount.

13. A private jeep safari at Sariska costs Rs8500 for a maximum of 6 guests in the jeep for which Camp Utsav had charged me Rs.12,390 and since they totally goofed up my experience of a safari, I was expecting a basic courtesy from them that they would remove the extra amount charged as they did not provide any service at all for which they charged extra - there was no naturalist or guide who accompanied us, the driver came very late, there was no water, the driver just handed over the basket to me at my seat saying you can have whatever you want and that too after I asked if they had packed something. 

14. As they did not remove these extra charges, I myself requested them to remove it. To my shock, Mr. Manuraj who is their Operations Manager started talking to me in a high pitched voice.I requested him atleast 2 times to lower down his voice, but then he almost started shouting. 

15. It’s shocking and surprising that first they mess up a customer’s experience and on top of that they have the audacity to scream and shout on a woman. 

16. I still can’t believe how arrogant, disrespectful, uncourteous the entire experience team is.

17. Mr. Joseph then starts telling us that the driver has been suspended and I have scolded the person who packed the basket etc. How is it of my concern. For me, you ruined the entire experience. And you didn’t even have the basic courtesy of refunding the additional amount you charged me for providing services on a safari.On top of it, your so called Operations Manager has the audacity of screaming on top of his lungs at us. Highly disgraceful and shameful behaviour. 

I would not suggest any one to go to this place if you are looking for a good wildlife safari. The faces of all naturalists are stone cold. They wouldn’t even wish you with a welcoming smile. The resort doesn’t seem to care at all about how a customer feels during the stay. It’s over priced and really bad “experience” staff.

The only good thing about the resort is Mr. Shivkumar who is their head for dining. He is very courteous and ensures that people are well taken care of at the restaurant. Good options are very less and limited though.

Very Bad Experience

This location transported me back to my grandparents' village when I was a child. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the smell of fresh mitti, the greenery, the charpai  under the tree and sun playing around the tree bushes, the starry sky, the cold breeze, the bon fire, the slow life. The rooms are incredibly beautiful and well-proportioned; they are created in a very earthy, classic style. Beautifully built walkways with small small cosy seating areas. The vibe, the employees, the food, the atmosphere are the wonderful aspects of this utsav camp. Thank you Luv Singh Shekhawat for this beautiful experience. 💕 We really enjoyed our stay at your property.

A unique experience

The staff is very friendly and helpful in all aspects .Food is good but expertise is needed in local Rajasthani food,Spa experience was average The housekeeping staff is very attentive and helpful specially Om,Hanuman,Lekhram and chetram  Food is priced  steeply,But an excellent stay

Good

My husband & I recently stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip to Rajasthan. Utsav Camp Sariska was a beautiful stop. We received such a warm welcome on arrival and the food & accommodation were perfect. Just a huge shame that we didn’t get to see a tiger!!

Loved it


I stayed with my family at the Utsav Camp Siriska for 1 night from 2-3 Sept 2023. The roads from Delhi - Siriska are fantastic via the Mumbai expressway and one can reach within 3-3.5 hours. The property is quite nice. They have 8 Tented accomodation, 9 stone cottages and 3 Forest Bungalows. Our stone cottage had an huge outdoor sitting areas which is great in the mornings. The experience was quite nice. The whole property is well spread out, so all tents and cottages are not close to one another. There are lot of walking trails within the property with sit out areas. The staff checked us in. We didn't meet the Manager. The rooms and bed linen and seating upholstery could do with a bit of cleaning. The outdoor sitting area was not clean too. The rooms had lizards in the bathroom and bedroom which was an unpleasant experience. A bit of pest control within the rooms could do good. 
The food was a huge disappointment.  Very slow service. Extremely hot in the open air restaurant. Highly priced but not upto the mark. A big let down. Buffet breakfast has very limited items which is next to nothing. 

They have some outdoor activities when the Park is shut which is a complete rip off. 

The Terrace pool is quite nice though. 

This place will be good in winter. Though the food needs to be considerably improved. 

Living in the Wild! 

Too bad trip advisor doesn’t allow for negative ratings. This is the most unhygienic hotel I have ever been to
-  Pillows had black mould, stained bedsheets. So called luxury tents had ugly stained roofs 
- pet friendly here means that dogs sit on the pool sun beds, get wet and stink. They are allowed to pee in the common walkway where you have to jump over puddles of dog pee, that then dries up and ants take over the place. Gross!!! For 2nights  3 days this was unattended after sharing with front desk. They just put up a board informing pets not allowed in pool area but next day again pets were there 
- they claim to have sit out at night for star gazing but nothing is usable at night
 - we went up to pool area at night to see stars away from light pollution but staff turned us away as they were using this public area for a private paid couple dinner. Funny humans are not allowed but dogs are! Crazy!
-  Tents have a perpetual stink - the materials used heat up in warm months and give a headache…
- nothing to do here apart from the pool. They don’t bother with any evening entertainment, kids play area or activity 
At the same cost you can stay at a Trident or name brand hotels…if you are particular about hygiene stay clear of this place. 

Unhygienic Trap! Stay clear! 

Terrible staff. Very rude people and they have totally no sense of professionalism. The food is over charged. Small portions for barely one person charged at 500++ and rotis charged at 150++ each. They dont do room service and do it for exceptional cases where we saw some customers had tipped them so they were bringing food and cigarettes' to their rooms. Also it says pet friendly but it is NOT. There were several wrongly charged items in our final F&B bill. When we told them their staff started arguing with us very rudely. The property is beautiful but they have 1 million rules and regulations. You wont enjoy and will feel fleeced for paying 70k for one night stay just for the food. You order subzi and roti. They send subzi first and roti after one hour. Awful experience.

We arrived here after 3 tiring days in Ranthambore - surrounded by noisy crowds who didnt know how to experience the beauty and tranquility of the wilderness and hosted by staff who didnt know much about the wildlife of the jungle. So it was a delight to be welcomed by naturalists and staff who were clearly trained to allow guests to have the best wildlife experiences, and to be housed in a tranquil paradise that made us finally like we were in one of the famed jungles of India! The property is nestled within acres of farm and in the shadow of a spectacular mountain range. So you feel like you are the interconnect between farmlands and the jungles.  The only big issue we faced was the noisy crowd (who had clearly descended upon this place from the urban Capital region!) who were exhibiting poor behavior - like getting drunk in the swimming pool, creating a noisy racket, and playing & singing loud music - with no respect from the jungle! The staff and management need to step up in such situations and regulate such crowds to not just ensure a better experience for other guests but also not disrupt the atmosphere for the poor wildlife around!

LOCATION: Located on the Southern side of Sariska National Park with easy access to all key major cities like Jaipur or Delhi or Ranthambore. Though they are not too far from the main road, the property is nestled with acres of wild nature and so you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle!

DINE + DRINK: the FOREST LOUNGE is a great place to unwind with drinks in the evening or savor a fine meal. It comes with lovely views of the mountain range but with a heft price tag for most of the items on the menu! Certainly overpriced, which was a bit of a downer!

ROOM: We stayed in Room 206, which was a stone cabin so this review is based on that; VIEW: Wonderful view of the greenery and dense jungle from the lovely sit-out terrace attached to the cabin; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Spacious bathroom designed nicely with a good Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Lovely spa quality Toiletries

FACILITIES: No Gym on site. But they have a lovely outdoor Swimming pool with spectacular views of the jungle and mountains. They also have a SPA on-site 

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to KAMAL and INDER at the restaurant for taking care of us so wonderfully through all the meals and drinks sessions! 

HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property.  No TV in the room, pure jungle chill!


Where the farm meets the Jungle!

One of the best property for staycation from Delhi. The staff is very courteous and goes an extra mile to make the stay and excursion very comfortable. Very thankfull to make this one of the best staycation. The food is a bit expensive but lives upto the experience. Great late night star gazing.
