The Sardargarh Fort is impressive, but at first sight might raise mixed feelings. It is huge and partially still run down as renovation is going on patchily. All the rooms are around a beautiful square court and radiate a colonial feeling. They are exquisitely renovated with a 30's taste and beds and pillows are just perfect and, along the peaceful environment, guarantee comfy sleeps. The bedding itself is interestingly, being in indian style, and to the westerners it could take a while to get accustomed. The bathroom is well furnished and towels are changed on daily basis. The only minor issue is that the hot water delivery is somewhat whimsical. Expect to be sought after by a zealos butler every and each time you step out your room. He will excort you to your breakfast, to your dinner, to the pool...Everyone at the Fort is there to prevent your longings and they really cuddle you as much as they can. Dining is also exceptional. Large servings of delicious traditional cooking server in the breathtaking terrace at candele light. Prices are fair (about 25$/meal including beverages, taxes and service).
Still some road to do, but they deserve to succeed.

Impressive...with yet some road to do

 What a splendid Fort. After a a few minutes ride through the village, you are  suddeny confronted with Frontal Fort of the Mewar Empire and you are spellbound by it majesty and beauty.
The vast expanse of lake is its USP.
The breakfast at the rampats of the fort overlooking the lake will make you desire to extend your stay.
You get Royalty and Family welcome that makes your stay here memorable.
Having visited quite a few Palace Forts, this one stands out for a homely and welcome break.
One visit and we feel determined to visit again and again.

Royalty at its best - be it for Honeymoon couples or a big group.

Everything was immaculate and very well thought of. The grounds, The rooms, The water pressure (In the  shower was amazing). As not many places have that. 
We are on a 17 night tour of North India. This was night 6 which we spent their. 

The candle light dinner under the brilliant night sky was amazing as well. 

So was the breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view of the entire area. 

The staff is EXCELLENT AND EXTREMELY ATTENTIVE. I don’t know any of their names. But they Multi task as well. 

All in all a pretty splendid experience.

A REAL GEM WHILE TRAVELING THRU NORTH AND MIDDLE PART OF INDIA.

The initial room that was given to us was not at all what we we had expected. There were insects inside however the staff were helpful and changed our room which was better and no insects.

The food and service were nice, no doubt a good experience there.

Overall it was a good experience thanks to the very delightful service we had received.

Wow, I am still taking in this incredible experience, I have never stayed anywhere like this magnificent heritage hotel. 
From the moment I arrived I was treated like royalty, the view from my room was stunning, the grounds and courtyards simply delightful and the service impeccable. 
I have to go back and show this place to friends

Palatial resort

Such a beautiful hotel fit for a queen. Keeping the heritage feel but slowly making modern changes to suit, i felt like royalty here. From lunch in the courtyard to dinner on the roof, it made me feel special and relaxed. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the hotel was peaceful and quiet.

Felt like royalty

The Sardargarh Heritage Fort Hotel is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of Rajasthan, India. The hotel is housed in a 300-year-old fort that has been beautifully restored. suites are decorated in traditional Rajasthani style. 

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by men, playing instruments and ladies dressed in traditional Indian attire. One of the ladies blessed us with a dot of saffron on our foreheads, then sprinkled flower, petals on our heads. We felt like we were friends of a king and we were being welcomed to his palace. It was the most beautiful welcome.

After check-in, we had lunch at the Garden courtyard. It is a beautiful setting.

After lunch, they took us on a tour of the whole Palace and we could not stop saying WOW, we learned so much about the country history, and the history of the castle. This place is truly magical.

Dinner was at the rooftop where we had a beautiful view of the city, we could hear the music of the city and see the stars and the moon. Our table had a candlelight and the food was delicious, the servers were gracious, professional, and super nice, 

Breakfast till next morning was at the Terrace where are you have the countryside view. The food was fresh and delicious and all the workers or so nice and fun to talk to. They all smiles and served graciously.

The Sardargarh Heritage Fort Hotel is a great place to stay if you are looking for a unique and memorable experience. The hotel is located in a peaceful setting and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always willing to help you make the most of your stay.

I would love to come back and stay longer.


A fairytale stay

A very luxurious and peaceful place to stay! We had a lovely tour from Jitendra so we could appreciate the history. 
Lots of lovely birds and gardens. Jitendra also introduced me to all the fort's animals. 
I'd recommend it for a picturesque relax. 

Winter sun solo visit

What a splendid heritage hotel that has been  exquisitely renovated and brought back to its former glory! You will be made feel extraordinarily welcome like a Maharaja & Maharani and taken care of by Jitendra, the manager, and his very attentive team of staff. The dining experience was excellent with amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner being served in various courtyards of the castle. Don't miss the special tour through the castle giving you a glimpse of the spectacular size of the fort. This was by far the best hotel, service, dining experience and overall experience in India. I will be back!

Sensational royal stay at heritage hotel

The palace is beautiful. The meals were delicious. What was unique was having the three meals in three different locations of the place. The staff was friendly and attentive. You will feel special when you stay here. Great place to celebrate the New Year!
