This is an idyllically quiet place to stay.  It is towards the west end of Srirangam island, away from the city yet accessible by rickshaw.  
It was a little difficult to book as Raja the owner was away from home, but I was glad I persisted.   Once I made contact with him everything was well organised.  I was excellently looked after by Maran and his family, with lovely food and spacious accommodation.  
I spent three nights there, and visited the temples on one day and the river banks and the butterfly park on the other.

Highly recommended retreat

Tranquility is really an amazing homestay. The rooms are beautifully decorated, large, clean and comfortable. Large balcony with lovely hanging swing chair. The rooftop terrace with stunning view serves the place for dining. The home cooked food was delicious and service was superb. Perfect place to have bath in river Kollidam and walk around while peacocks wandering. The owner RAJA is an amazing person and immensely knowledgeable. Exceptional Place - Think of Trichy and Think of Tranquility

We group of friends stayed there for 3 days and enjoyed it a lot like our own house, the food, hospitality & accommodation with antique furniture was amazing. Specifically for me River bath & River walking was very adventurous in my life, just besides this home stay.

River Heaven

We a group of 10 friends were stayed from 21th April 2022 to 24th April 2022. It's a very beautiful place to stay in. And the most important things over here are living temples like Srirangam, Thiruvanai kaval & etc. And non-living Ancient like Ayyanar and village dieties like Kurupu swamy.  The butterfly park is 200 Mtrs (walkable distance) from this guest house. The other side of the guest is Kolledum river. We feel like we are In natural place after so many days.

We felt very happy to stay in this guest house after our hectic  busy schedule mechanical like in our Hyderabad city.

Excellent place & Hospitality

Tranquility True nature place and next to river and maintain very clean,  delicious food, very tastefully designed rooms, one of  the best sit out area, lots of birds around,  river walk, swimming in the river unforgettable memories , I strongly recommend people who go to Srirangam n Thrichy ...Thanks Raja ji Excellent Hospitality..

Best Nature place

A calm location away from the noisy city with cauvery and kollidam on either sides. Village atmosphere best place for nature lovers. Enjoyed bird watch bathing in river . Good to hear the chirping birds in the morning.  Enjoyed home cooked food. Thank you for the host raja who made everything comfortable.

Serene and comfortable stay

We visit Tranquility every year. We have been doing it over last 4 years. If you are looking for a true quiet, tranquil, total village setting, exceptional hospitality, home cooked south indian delicious meals, enjoying a typical south indian rustic village, taking bath in rivers, enjoying the farm life and its experiences....this is where you should be. Having traveled all over the world, staying in beach to wildlife to multi terrain resorts and hotels, I have never had this satisfaction and experience any where. 
Perched beautifully in the rustic and green village settings, flanked by rivers Cauvery and Kollidam on either sides of the house, the location by itself welcomes you into the arms of mother nature.
Farm trips, bathing in pump sets within the farms, watching harvests, having a quiet and peaceful walk in the village - it's all there, in pure form.
Mornings are true blessings here. There's zero noise whatsoever. Drop a pin and you can hear it. Birds chirping is the only sound you may hear if you hear any.
Long morning walks in beautiful village settings, cycling or a bike ride on fresh and lovely air carrying the aroma of nature, yoga or any other simpler exercises in the terrace will heal you both mentally and physically for sure.
Hosts - Raja and Usha are classic couples who owns this wonder and are the by far the best in hospitality and in exceeding your expectations every other time in going totally out of the way to keep you in best of spirits. They for sure are part of our family now and have been just excellent.
Care takers - Local village landlord, Mr. Maran and his entire family comprising of his wife, 3 daughters, small cute boy, everyone of his near and dear are always there both at night and day. They've too become our extended family and it's always emotional to depart after spending time with them. There's not a day, where you will not see a smile on the face and there's never a smirk on anyone's face anytime. We feel blessed and lovely to be with them.
Net, Net, if you need quiet, peaceful, tranquil, rustic and very simple village life, please make it a point to visit Tranquility at Anakkarai, near Srirangam.
Right from the access roads to the property to surroundings it;s rustic, beauty and simple.
You will rejuvenate and that's for sure.
But, please do go there with a clear intent to enjoy and engross in 100% unfiltered village life. You will never ever be disappointed.
We will visit them again (and again....)

Tranquility in absolute reality

Really an amazing and wonderful trip. Felt immensely happy. Environment, food and hospitality are really awesome. Would like to make it again. This trip was happier as it was accompanied by our best family friends. Our kids too enjoyed the trip thoroughly.

Trip to Relax

Beautifully decorated, clean house with only four guest rooms, fantastic breakfast and lunch and a perfect place to recover from noisy India. Round 6 km (15 min tuctuc) from town, temple and so on...and 5 min walk to nearby river.
Superfriendly staff and Usha, the owner, is a perfect, warmhearted host!
Very helpful with everything. She made our time in that area a specialone.
A place you wish to visit again!

Peaceful place in noisy India

Beautiful guesthouse with modern, tastefully decorated rooms with deep shady verandahs for relaxing in between temple visits. Only 6kms from the big temple yet you are riverside surrounded by coconut palms and everything is perfectly quiet. Trichy is a must visit place in Tamil Nadu but the city itself is very noisy and congested. Tranquillity Guest House is the perfect place to take a break. It’s easy to get in and out of town to explore the sites, with the advantage of being able to come back and unwind. The meals on the rooftop terrace are great, much better than the town restaurants in my opinion, and also help support the local villagers who prepare and serve them. The owners are wonderful, generous people and will help with anything. Raja and Usha speak perfect English and French and are very knowledge about so many interesting things you would normally go past and miss. They made my 4 nights in Trichy the highlight of my Indian trip.
