I’ve been going to Palolem for 12 years now and I’ve always stayed at the same guest house but this year I fancied a change so contacted Avalina guest house who got back to me straight away, I spoke to the owner Femmy and my room was organised. I arrived on the 21 Feb 2024 and was met and taken to my room that was really comfortable with air condition tv ample storage and a massive comfortable bed, there was a balcony that overlooked the garden that was nice but as you can expect the grass area was bare but surrounded with lovely planting. The staff were very friendly and I felt safe at night. I had coffee with the owner who was a very pleasant man and offered me a fridge for the room and a Kettle, I felt I could ask for anything and he would go out of his way to provide it for me, not that I needed anything else as the room was lovely, I stayed for my whole holiday 28 days. I don’t know what people expect when they arrive in Goa but I can tell you this place was excellent.

Fabulous guest house

Stayed for 8 nights and half of the time I was there I was alone. I must say I felt very safe thanks to the hard working, friendly staff who are around 24/7. Always someone at the entrance making sure no strangers wander in which was really reassuring. 
Room was lovely and spacious with good AC and a balcony which looked over the nice peaceful garden area. Very close to the beach and a couple of lovely restaurants. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast every morning brought to the room. It is also handy having a laundry service as I plan to return for a longer period next year.
Only thing I would fault is that it would have been nice to have met the owner and put a face to a name for a more personal experience but hopefully next time! His communication otherwise has been great 👍🏻

Lovely relaxing stay

Best hostel in palolem! Good location- close to the beach, Very Comfortable rooms, good price and amazing team! They help us so much and We had really good time there :)  I will be back for sure!!!!!!!

If you are planning your stay at Avelina, think thrice before making the booking here. We had an unacceptable ridiculous customer experience and we will never recommend this place.

Sharing our experience for awareness -

Jan 12th, 2023 - Booked 2 rooms for 2 days (Check In: Feb 15th - Check Out: Feb 17th). It was a direct booking (didn't leverage any online platform though they were offering it for a cheaper price to avoid any issues later) at hotel, paid them advance, hotel confirmed the booking and provided the receipt.

Feb 1st, 2023 - After 20 days, Hotel staff calls us and tell that because of some renovation work planned, they are cancelling our booking. 
Really someone is planning for renovation that too in such a short span when season is on ??

Feb 2nd, 2023 - Hotel owner tells us that there is no renovation but they double booked the rooms. Hence, they are cancelling our booking. 

	Really a double booking was done which they realized after 20 days ??

Actual reason was a big biker's group reached to them and hotel was in short of 2 rooms. Since the other group was ready to pay them more, hotel cancelled our booking to accommodate them which is such a pathetic and unprofessional behavior.

Pathetic, Ridiculous  customer experience, Cheaters

Perfect budget stay in Palolem. Location is right at the centre; plenty of restaurants around and beach is just 1 min walking distance. Owner Femmy and staff were extremely polite and helpful.
Highly recommend this place for couples, family and friends.

Budget stay in Palolem

Paid £16 per night. It’s not the Ritz, but it was central to everything and clean with comfy beds. The staff were friendly and we had a lovely stay. Don’t expect luxury, but great if you’re on a budget.

Good value for money

Was as expected from pictures and communications. We had the two upstairs rooms next to each other which allowed the kids (11 & 14) to be in one room and us in the other! The place is well located about 100m from the beach and very secure close to many restuarants and shops. The room was comfortable for our week long stay. Accommodation provided a late checkout which saved us rushign off to airport. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay in Palolem

This guest house is on the street on the way to the beach and it's only a 1 minute walk from the beach!! Amazing rooms, good AC, hot water, TV with cable and a nice garden and view! The owners are really nice and they have good laundry service. Recommend recommend recommend!!! 

Best Place in Palolim

This is a basic guesthouse without breakfast. But it earns five stars in it's price bracket, because
1. The location is perfect. Hundred meters from the beach, a few meters from the bus stop, taxi and autorickshaw stand across the street. Plenty of good restaurants and shops around (try the neighbour Magic Italy). Yet relatively quiet.
2. Very efficient a/c. 
3. Large bathroom with hot water 24/7. Balcony or terrace.
4. One of the best wifi's I've had outside the big cities in India.
No fridge in room. Credit cards accepted sometimes, sometimes not. No ATM in Palolem, so you need to get transport for a few kilometers to withdraw money.
