Hotel is very good and we reached here on 4th July by flight from MP and we stayed here up to 7th July. Staff is very very good and it was a family atmosphere. Food and service was excellent. Location is good and we enjoyed the stay very much.....

we just visited in June and our whole family enjoyed. the hotel has a big lawn and fountain, during evening we enjoyed and also staff is very cooperative. Food was excellent. we really would like to again in this property.

best property and best location

First please note that prior to the recent 4-5 reviews, all are dated back to 2012-13. Seems like no one came in between.

Following are my experiences :-

Property:
1. The property is far away in a village and you feel aloof there. And the staff ensures that you feel unsafe there.
2. Approach road is very narrow.
3. If you are in - You are in
4. Nothing much around
5. Has a garden with wild cherry trees (Not Safe to eat)
6. Fountain was made operational at arrival only and never after that
7. Managed by some Madam in Mumbai and is rented through a travel agency having owner in Mumbai.

Rooms:
1. OK but not Wow
2.Curtain panels are broken
3. Toilet locks are broken
4. Bedding is comfortable

Service:

1. PATHATIC - The only world
2. Everytime you ask for something they will deny and after insisting only thay will call their Madam in Mumbai for approval. E.g. For coffee, Kahwa, Butter, Milk for children etc.
3.There is a local boy who (manages) - SORRY mismanages the property and thinks himself as its owner. No experience in customer services and is arrogant.
4. There is a cook (Maharaj) who cooks veg food only and despite the promise of eggs earlier they served after lot of insistance only as if they are obliging us.

Food:
Breakfast - Only 1 item.Dont expect an elaborative breakfast spread as in othe places.
Snacks - Limited (you cant ask twice) and will be served only if you ask otherwise they will forget.
Tea - will be served but if you ask for coffee, they will get approval from madam.
Dinner - 1 Dal, i Sabzi, Roti, Rice. Nothing else. Salad only if you ask and no pickle (they have to ask madam to serve it)

Overall:

Please avoide if you do not want to spoil your trip getting frustrated and irritated on the petty issues with the management, that boy and the so called Maharaj (he seemed like a bird caught in a cage). They do not understand customer needs and even if they do, they are unwilling to fulfill.

Terrible experience - Hope they take the feedback positively and change otherwise GOD BLESS them.

The Fiasco - Shalimar Enclave

Poor service. Shabby and dark rooms. Lots of broken locks doors and mirrors and furniture. U ask for anything they call up their owner in Mumbai. Breakfast and dinner And snacks were in the package and they were always short.its a not a three star property its a one star property. Very very far away from main market. 20 kms from dal lake gate 1.takes an hour to reach their. Residential home converted to a home stay. Narrow lanes to reach. People with kids should not visit this place. Always live near dal lake. 
Service very very very poor. U have to ask for anything for three times. It comes after half an hour as they have to ask their owner in Mumbai for it. The service boy Mr. Raja does not listen to anyone  at all.

poorly managed property

its not shalimar enclave, its called paradise kottages. its 19 kms away from main parking area near dal lake. Its a house owned by a lady called zora who lives in mumbai. it is managed by her only. Mr. Harish and Mr. Zahoor take the bookings through their agency. We were 8 adults and 6 children. We were given a four rooms for rs. 8000 per day for three days. it included breakfast and dinner along with morning and evening tea and snacks.
The rooms are very average and not maintained at all. their is one cleaner by the name Raja who takes care of room service and cleaning. Their is a marathi cook named maharaj. Raja does not want to work and you have to call him thrice to get the work done. You ask for anything these guys are going to call mrs. zora in mumbai and then work.it was so pathetic that one day we ordered aalu parantha for breakfast but they served us veg kababs as mrs. zora and changed the menu on phone. They were always short of food and other amenities. I had to talk to mrs. zora twice to request her to improve but she did not listen. anything that was requested was denied as mrs. zora ordered her men not to do it. i hope mr. zahoor whom we have had a lot of discussion with would agree to what ever is written in this review.
the place is not safe as u wont find any tourists near by. its located in a residential area 19 kms away from main hub. it takes nearly one hour to reach this place from the main dal lake as you have to pass through small winding lanes of residential area. kindly check the real pictures.
