We already stayed this property during 2008. It was very clean and neat. He provided complimentary breakfast and night dinner cost basis. Very tasty foods they provided unlimited.
We stayed for 2 nights in Green mount cottage. We were 5 of them and booked 2 rooms and allotted upstair. This cottage is run by Mr.Martin and his wife. Mr.Martin owner of this property was very nice and gentleman and moved friendly.
They provided complimentary breakfast every day. Complementary breakfast was awesome every day unlimited. (Kadala curry, appam, puttu.....). 
This place is also closer to kalpetta main road and hence we can visit any nearby hotel or bakery for any food needs in evening or night. 
Bur this time Oct 26th to 28th 2019, we upset for this property. My son and daughter in law have very upset and unlike this property due to the following reasons:
Cost wise it is slightly high compared to other best hotel and cottage 
They provided used pillow cover and bed sheets. It is dirty and bad smell. Pillow cover and bed sheets are not clean. The bedding and mattress need to be improved and can be more clean and neat 
We saw Leech (Attai poochi) inside the room and bath room during our entire staying. 
They not provided drinking water. Next day we asked and he gave two bottles of water. Third day he was not gave.
Toiletry items only soap given.
No wall clock, it is very difficult to know night and early mornings time.
No staff provided to maintain, clean cottage and room.
Staircases was not clean every day and no light in staircase. Night time it is very difficult to step down and up. 
We complained balcony light not function and tap water leak in bathroom. But he did not rectify till we checkout.
They have not provided light in the main entrance of the cottage. It is dark during night.
Proper maintenance made in this property, it is one of the best property to stay in Wayanad.

Wayanad sight seeing for three days

This is a very basic homestay with reasonable pricing and room is as per shown in pictures. The room is big enough to accommodate 2-3 people but not very much upto the mark if you expect any hotel or premium cottage kind of experience.

The bedding and mattress need to be improved and can be more clean and neat. Towels are also not clean and looked over used. We saw Lizards inside the room and bathroom as the windows in the bathroom are not 100% closed and maybe due to green surroundings. Very less storage if you plan to stay for a week. Bathroom shower has no hot water facility only a tap has provision of hot water which needs to be used by filling in the water bucket. 

Parking is available, location is near market road and easily available on google maps, easy to travel to attractions like Pookode lake, Banasura dam and others and also local shopping of spices, clothes, crafts, etc and restaurants.

Location wise it is a good stay place and can be a one night option for my preferences and expectations it can differ person to person.


Basic Homestay

I stayed in Green Mount with my family for 2 days. The rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean. Mr. Martin provided us delicious home cooked food. The location of the homestay is just in the city center and still calm and beautiful, surrounded by trees. This was my third stay in Green mount and every time it was surprisingly fantastic.

Fantastic stay

An excellent place to stay when you are out here for a tour. Mr. Martin, the owner of the place, is such a friendly person that you will feel a great homely ambience. We stayed here during Jan 2017 for 2 days. It has a very large parking space. Very near to to the main road, market and Bus stand.

One of the best stays I ever had in all my visits

I stayed with my family in this homestay for a short break. Value for money, prime location in Kalpetta town. Rooms were clean.  Food was also good. The climate was nice too. I Will recommend this place.

Relaxing stay

The stay in Green Mount Cottage was pleasant and quite comfortable. The villa is an exquisite location very close to the town Kalpetta but placed away from the noise and crowed. The villa is surrounded by lot many fruit-bearing trees and plants. The mornings in Green Mount Cottage is always accompanied by singing bird chirping pleasant dawn music. Highly recommended!
