Our family comprising 12 adults stayed in the "Executive" category family room at Hotel PAMS, Mayiladuthurai for 3 daus durng last week of January 2024.

PROs:
(1) Four floors with wide range of rooms with an Elevator.
(2) Located at heart of City - Just opposite to Bus stand
(3) Smooth Check-in and Check-out formalities 
(4) Acceptance of all mode of Payments.
(5) Provided with Towels and basic toiletries kits.
(6) Bed linens were neat
(7) 32 inch TV with DTH connection
(8) Mini-fridge (We didn't use it)
(9) Good lighting and Sufficient no. of Power sockets
(10) Cwntralised AC with wall mount Controller
(11) Ample car parking available within Hotel compound
(12) Separate VEG and NON-VEG restaraunts with 40 seats (Not sure about Kitchens)
(13) Food delivery through Room service is pretty decent.
(14) Complimentary Breakfast. Limited Menu.
(15) Few rooms got separate Bath room and Toilets.
(16) Extra bed set-up comes with foldable steel cot and good quality Mattress.
(17) English Newspaper to individual rooms
(18) Good quality wooden furniture
(19) Eletric Kettle. But no items for preparing Coffee or Tea.

CONs (Areas of Improvement)
(1) Floor corridors were very dark. Requires sufficient and Bright lighting. 
(2) Toilet and Bathroom requires good lighting. 
(3) Menu of Complimentary breakfast requires more variety on day-to-day basis.
(4) Bathroom fittings require periodical inspection. (Water was continously leaking in Closet)
(5) Quality (Taste aspect) of Complimentary Breakfast requires attention.
(6) Door locks and latches were faulty and noisy. Requires attention.
(7) Dental Kit is provided on demand. This can be given as part of basic toiletries kit.
(9) Food items of Complimentary breakfast can be served hot.
(10) Hot water in the Bathroom was just lukewarm. Solar water heating system needs attention.
(11) A flexible 24 Hour Check-In and Check-Out is badly required. Slightly disappointed to note 50% room tariff charged for a 4 hours late check-out 

Overall, It was a very pleasant stay. Hope my personal experience / holistic view helps to plan your travel in a better way

Our experience with Hotel PAMS, Mayavaram

We stayed here for 1 night. We had 2 rooms. Check in was a breeze. We checked in around 2 PM and went and had our lunch. Then took a small nap and headed out to the temples.

Got a good night sleep at the hotel. The room was large with plenty of space for the 4 of us. Cold Crisp AC. Good clean shower and toilets. Fast Wifi. Quick and efficient room service. Car Parking. Central location for all the area temples.

Breakfast buffet is included. Food is great. We also ate lunch and dinner here. Lunch was amazing and unlimited meals. The dinner was good. South Indian food is better than their Chinese food. 

Will definitely stay here again. 

Wonderful Stay for Temple Visit

We had been on a business trip to Mayiladuthurai and stayed ay Hotel Pams.
The hotel recently renovated and looks better than earlier.
Issues faced=
# AC not working properly.
# No info on TV channels. Very frustrating as could not locate channels we wished to see. Had suggested that Hotel should keep a sheet with Channel details in the room
# Restaurant had very little choice in menu and service was poor

Stay at Hotel Pams

Excellent location, rooms are clean ,overall a pleasant stay. Breakfast was ok but location beats everything else , just opp to bus stand ans ample car parking , overall value for money. If you are in mayaludurai  should consider staying here 

Pleasant stay with family

Well located and established hotel in mayiladuthurai. However found that the room facilities and service has not improved at all.
1. On checking on (at 3 PM), found the phone was not working. Went down to reception and complained. It did not get attended to despite many reminders, and finally instrument replaced at 9 PM (after we did a bit of shouting). Very inconvenient as to place room service orders etc, need the phone working.
2. AC was not working, and needed to complain and get it set right.
3. In the morning there was NO Hot water. As we were to head out for temples, no choice but to have batch in cold/luke warm water. 
4. Coffee served was luke warm, despite clearly asking room service for Hot Coffee.
I think the management is complacent because business is happening, due to location, and have no intention to set right matters.
Hence for next trip need to explore other options - some new hotels which have come up in Mayiladuthurai.

Stay at Hotel PAMS in Dec 2019

We had booked two AC rooms. The rooms were good to stay in and were neatly maintained. Room Service was prompt. The food in the restaurant was very much unsatisfactory. We had opted for Veg dinner, which was way better than the complimentary breakfast which we had the next morning. The quality of the food could have been better. Finally, a good place to stay for a short while.

Good for short stay.

The room was not great and the food in the vegetarian restaurant got my son sick.  So, do not order anything that is not original to the locale. The rooms were fairly clean and the service was pretty good.

Decent choice

The non vegetarian restaurant restaurant was decent. Good quality of food, customer service and the restaurant was fairly  clean and well managed. It gets a lot of tourists. The prices were that of any big city  so wouldn’t classify it as economical considering that- but nothing exorbitant. You don’t have too many choices anyway around

Only visited for Food

Indeed it is a great challenge for pilgrim visitors to get good accommodation and food. I consider Hotel PAMS as a blessing in disguise. The rooms are good, cost effective and neatly maintained. The restaurant attached to the hotel offer complementary breakfast with wide variety of food range addressing from children to aged. The hotel offer excellent Lunch and Dinner with variety of options. The good news is has NO side effects. In general guests can trust hotel PAMS.

Pleasant Stay at Temple Town

Hotel is located opp the Main Bus stand, and so lot of traffic, noice, dust etc. As its a relatively higher end hotel, being close to bus stand is not of value, since most guests come by their car etc.
Rooms are pretty small, but the facilities in the room and toilet were reasonably convenient. 
The room however has only one plug point. In todays age of multiple mobile phones, Ipad/tablets etc, some more plug points would help.
To our bad luck, the AC was not functioning well, the plug point in toilet was not working, the room phone was giving problems etc.
While the staff at reception were polite and helpful, it was strange that the Hotel has no "Manager" who can more effectively handle customer grievances.
The Restaurant service was OK, but food quality could improve.
