Amazing place! We had three rooms and they were all beautiful - extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean.

The charming owner is on hand tirelessly providing his guests with exceptional levels of care.

A hidden gem in Udaipur

I had an amazing experience staying at the Little Garden Guesthouse. The property and rooms are beautifully designed and really clean and spacious. The location was perfect, I the middle of everything, yet quiet. The palace, temples and markets are only a short walk away. Akshay, the owner, was an amazing host and made me feel like home. The breakfast room was beautiful and the food tasted really good and was freshly made. Thanks to Akshay, Shanti and all staff for creating the perfect environment to feel welcome and comfortable. The Little Garden Guesthouse really is a home away from home. Highly recommend staying here.

Best hotel I stayed at in India

The Little Garden Guest House is a traditional and beautiful building. An oasis in the centre of Udaipur. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Akshay was a brilliant host and has a great team. Nothing was too much trouble. He was very helpful, making local suggestions and sharing knowledge about Udaipur. The chef made us a wonderful Indian evening meal and breakfast.

A wonderful stay

Loved loved loved staying here. This is a family owned 200 year old haveli. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Akshay is a very hospitable host and they check to see you’re okay. Hot water baths and rooms are homey, well designed with a touch of retro. Location is ideal in the heart of the city and walking distance to all the top highlights. 

200 year old javelin & Home away from home 

There is so much to like about this guest house. Firstly, the host was in a league of his own. Perfect English, great communication, accessible via booking.com chat or phone/WhatsApp. Check in was very easy. He has a great spirit and he made excellent recommendations for where to go and eat. He is super flexible and was able to save me in my final minutes by giving me an impromptu moto ride to reach my driver who, not from Udaipur, got the address wrong on the day I needed to go to the airport.
Secondly, the location was perfect and close to some of the main attractions I wanted to see (City Palace, Jagdish temple, Karni Mata, Lake Pichola boat ride). It is in an old city area, but I felt totally safe there walking out during the day and night. There are many great restaurants close by.
Thirdly, the room was amazing. It's been envisioned by a French interior designer, but I would have never guessed that as it seemed to me a very modern and stylishly authentic Indian hotel. The bed was clean and comfortable (5 star level) and the washroom was clean and very spacious. I found this guest house to be one of the quieter stays. Most of the other hotels I stayed at had a lot of commotion throughout the night. I enjoyed the breakfast as well! Good options for all!
If you are going to Udaipur, you must stay here. It's best combination of quality and price.

This place is a gem

If you want charm, history, comfort, visually appealing spaces, views to die for and an incredibly attentive host, then this is the spot for you.  Akshay’s guesthouse is in the perfect spot for all your needs in Udiapur. It is walking distance from pretty much everything, and if it isn’t, Akshay will arrange transport for you. Nothing is too much for him and he is very welcoming - for everyone to share his home and enjoy their stay.
